For trail running, mountain biking, and happy outdoorsmen, this entrance to Chino Hills State Park offers a fantastic long stretch of fire road on Lower Aliso Trail. Lower Aliso allows you to connect to the other side of the park along with a three really good trails that are only accessible from Lower Aliso. Aliso Climb is a solid climb that you will find at the end of Lower Aliso. It connects to Skully Ridge, which offers spectacular views. The other climb is Brush Canyon. It’s a nice steady 3−4% grade, nothing crazy or steep. You can come down Brush Canyon from the Aliso climb previously mentioned… which is a blast on the mountain bike. The trailhead that is closest to the entrance is Alluvial Trail. This trail is a nice mellow singletrack climb that surrounds the horse ranch field. You’ll have a killer time on a bike or running on this trail. Watch out for the thorny thistle though! From this entrance to the Bane Ridge Rd is roughly 3.7 miles. You’ll find a water fountain up at the bench, and even a porta potty if needed. Enjoy the park, it’s home to a lot of awesome wildlife like Coyotes, rabbits, and plenty of snakes.
