I feel terribly that I can’t write about more positive things regarding this office because the doctors are really incredible and genuinely care about what you were there for. I wish that the doctors however were enough to outweigh this 2-​star review but unfortunately it is important that the rest of the office be run in a similar professional manner. That being said, my follow-​up appointment was scheduled for the wrong date despite the fact that the doctor came out and told the receptionist to schedule it 4 weeks out. I didn’t realize that I should pull out my calendar and make sure the receptionist was doing her job so I took the date that she gave me. Then when I finally got around to answering it onto my own calendar at home a week later, I realized that she had only scheduled my appointment 3 weeks out so I had to call her back. In that week it had taken for me to catch their mistake, appointments had filled up so I had to wait two additional weeks. The most annoying aspect of this office is the fact that they are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. but they do not actually turn on their phone line until after 8:30.this is in no way an assumption because this has been the case the last three times I’ve tried to call the office. As I write this it is 40 minutes after the time they are open and I still cannot speak to a receptionist because it wants to direct me to an emergency line which is there off-​hours line. It is such a shame that such wonderful doctors are hidden behind such an incompetent staff.
Update: it is now 9:10am…over an jour after their opening and still, they’re phone line for the receptionist is closed.

I’m pretty sure that when they perform an eye procedure (cataracts) you are treated with numbing agent so you don’t feel discomfort. Well my grandmother went in for the removal of a cataract (in 2008) on her left eye, she described it as the most painful thing she has ever had to endure next to child birth. She said she felt EVERYTHING! To make matters worse, she was in such pain, that she couldn’t stay still and they were holding down her hands and head so she wouldn’t move. To me, that’s abuse and malpractice because the pain she was in was excruciating. My grandma is not one to complain; she was truly a champ. she had many surgeries and medical procedures done but she said this one with Dr. Lukac was the worst experience and she was better off with a cataract on her eye. Did they fail to properly use anesthesia or numbing eye drops properly or whatever they use? Something went terribly wrong in that part of the procedure. For the remaining 7 years of her life my grandma complained that she was left with some sort of shadowy vision that was not there before she got that poor excuse of a cataract surgery. I’m appalled and angry that she had to go through this with this Doctor! I’m forced to give 1 star because Unilocal doesn’t allow any less.

Dr Lukac is an awesome Doctor. I had eye surgery yesterday and he was very kind and concerned about how I was feeling. He has an excellent bed side manner, which in my opinion is very rare today. My surgery was succesful and I was thrilled with this service.

Great office. Doctor Noor is fantastic.

The 2 front desk receptionist (s) lack professionalism and customer service. This office serves a large population of senior citizens. More clear and precise information should be given to patients about there treatment. They don’t accommodate patients and redirect patients to everyone else with no resolution. I have had no bad experience with the doctor, nurse and surgery coordinator while going to this office. Also, when i ask to be connected to upper management i get placed on hold and was informed management was not available. This office should remove this 2 employees immediately because they are affecting the name & face of this doctor office. Thank you!

Jan Lukac is one of the worst Dr.‘s that I have ever been to. He is a very cold individual. He acts as though you can Not ask Questions regarding your eyes or questions his diagnosis!!! He missed Diagnosed me with Glaucoma !!!(which means you are going blind!!) He never gave me follow up for my Cataracts! He never even gave me treatment options for either Cataracts or Glaucoma!!! His Brea CA office Smells very Bad of Body Odor and when you mention it to the office staff they pretend like they do not know what you are talking about !!! I never will go back to his office it makes you feel like it is unsanitary !!! His Office staff offered to spray Lysol to cover up the smell!
