Once upon a time. I had never purchase cards until my friend introduce me to payprus. Then I was hooked. However, I have shopped in several payprus and never came across such a rude sales associate before. This would be my second encounter with thus man. The first encounter I had simply let go because I believe that people have bad days. However sales associate 12056 the only male to my knowledge that works in this location. Made me feel like I was insignificant and that my wishes were not important. Yes I was purchasing sales items and I understand it is nonrefundable but did he really have to mark all over my receipt. Even mark on the products I was buying with a sharpie? I have been to other stores and purchasing products they had never marked anything. Rather they use a red stamp that says final sale. Thus guy not just with a sharpie had to stamp my receipt twice with all sales final. I understand really the thought of someone wanting to return stuff. But I don’t return out of season goods. I recommend that this payprus location have their staff retrained. His attitude is most unpleasant. If you do not like your job please find something else to do. Thank you.

I really like this store in particular. For the longest time I thought cards were a waste of money. Reason being is because it was always a daunting task finding a card that was reasonably priced and that was either interesting, creative, and/or thoughtful. I often found cards with too much writing or not enough writing or the card contains some cheesy long statement. My last few visits to Papyrus changed my view of purchasing store cards. During these visits I found some colorful and creative cards that were expensive but they were worth it because they stand out from ordinary cards. I also like how most of the cards I have seen at Papyrus are not too long. They contain a simple sentence of greetings or thanks or celebratory words. Although the price of the cards were slightly outside the realm of reasonable, the fanciness and creativity of the card made up for it. The employees at the Brea store have been very helpful on each of my last few visits. They promptly helped me find what I needed and they even gave me their opinion on a perfect card for the occasion. The disadvantages of purchasing a card from Papyrus is the price(which is about $ 2 more on average than an average priced card at a grocery store) and that I have to park and then walk through a busy mall to get to the store. Sometimes I just need to grab a card and go and not deal with finding a parking spot and crowds of people.

I love the Papyrus stores and the cute cards they have especially for every occasion. Today I went in with a family member to look at cards and upon walking into the store… The employee behind the register she was already disgruntled and you can tell was extremely unapproachable. The guy who I was guessing was a manager was on the phone and sounded like he was talking to a friend the entire time, about deliveries and what time the store opened and closed(I thought ur not supposed to use company property for personal business). Long story short we found a beautiful card, and we went to checkout, upon check out we were paying in cash and my family member advised the disgruntled employee she was a perks member… The employee rolled her eyes and asked for the phone number and then when she saw the amount of the bill being given to her, she rudely says sorry I don’t have change for that and I haven’t taken any cash payments today. Well having worked retail for 10 years. You don’t have change in ur drawers or anywhere in ur back safe to break a bill really?! We walk out of the store and the manager on the phone covers the speaker of his personal conversation and says you can go to an atm…(Why would we have to go to an atm when your supposed to have money to break the bigger bills?) long story short. Don’t shop at this location. Other papyrus stores are great but this one just lacks customer service and also direction from management, and it shows from the employees.

I stumbled by this store over the Holidays for a quick browse and found an elegant three drawer glass jewelry Box that was reasonably priced. The sales associate Louis was refreshing and super informative, not to mention creative. His wrapping abilities were impressive. I had to return and get two more gifts wrapped by this gentleman. This store is small but has a descent variety of greeting cards and small gifts.

I came here to look at some invitations and the sales lady was very helpful and not pushy at all. The store is a little cramped but has a lot to offer
