Went for the«séance» and left feeling cheated! I should have checked it out first before paying $ 40 person, for cheap theatrical parlor tricks! Save your time and money.

I recently saw this little place while driving down Imperial and wanted to check it out. There weren’t any reviews here, so I had hopes about what they might carry in their store but really had no idea what kind of place this would be like. I saw the vendor photos of the tarot cards and the wood ouija boards, so I was hoping there might be some at least moderately serious occult items there. I’ve been searching for a good curios shop around here for a while, and it seems like I’ll have to keep looking. The place is small and dedicated more to the sci-fi/horror genre than anything. You’ll see lots of knick-knacks, Frankenstein stuff, etc. It’s a cute little gift shop if you have those in your life who are really into the commercially dark and creepy. If you’re looking for a real curios shop however, unfortunately this isn’t it. I’m not faulting the store for it at all, it’s really a cute shop and the attendants were super friendly and helpful, I just wish I had known more about its nature before I ventured in. My only beef was that nothing seemed to have any sort of price tag on it. TLDR; commercially sci-fi/horror gift shop, slightly tourist-y, not an occult or curios shop – BUT, certainly worth a visit for a really unique gift for that delightfully weird person in your life.
