So often grocery store strawberries look so good. It is only when you get home and bite into watery, tasteless, hard berries you realize you have been cheated. Driving on imperial highway at Brea I saw sign for fresh strawberries and couldn’t resist. Pulled in front of red barn as I was walking towards the stand I caught aroma of freshly picked strawberries. You will never experience that at a grocery store. Try their berries they taste better than candy. Pick up veggies for dinner and strawberries for dessert. All produce looks fresh and high quality. So much to choose from onions, asparagus, artichokes to avocados, zucchini and much come. Can’t wait for watermelon season. Nothing compares to a watermelon that ripened on the vine.

There are strawberries are delicious… I can definitely taste a difference from other strawberry stands. They also have very friendly and helpful employees, I have been to a few different locations and they are all equally as great. Today the employee randomly asked me how I stored the strawberries and gave me some great tips to keep them fresh! Whenever I want strawberries or great produce, I always look for a Manassero stand!

This review is for the farm stand in placentia off of yorba linda blvd. I was there Sunday morning on May 24th, 2015. A rude, fat blonde girl was there. Not even said hello or thank you when I purchased their $ 20 strawberries. Next time can you smile a bit and give some customer service or don’t work.

I was the only person in my family that liked strawberries(too tart they always said) until I brought home some Manassero Farms Strawberries that were so sweet they tasted like they had been soaked in sugar water. Today my son asked if I had more because he wanted strawberries as a snack. I will only be buying my strawberries here now! :)

Best winter strawberries in OC: huge, sweet and juicy. The berries are all fresh picked, you can buy day-old ones at a discount for jam or pie. Always a variety of fresh veggies, too. Grateful to have this stand close to home.

Here you’ll find the most scrumptious and sweet organic strawberries! It’s $ 4/basket or 3 baskets for $ 11. They also sell other produce like squash, asparagus, nectarines, etc. Definitely a must for the strawberry fanatic!

What a great little roadside fruit and veggie stand. I travel by this place a couple of times a week on my way home from work when the 91 Fwy is in a bad way(or worst than normal way) but have never stopped there. Today I needed some strawberries and was on my way to Chino Hills from Brea and decided to give them a try and I am so happy that I did. This little stand is neat kept and has a nice small selection of fruit and vegetables and an enormous selection of strawberries that were gown in the field behind it. The star berries are the main attraction and they do not disappoint. We are still pretty early in the season yet the strawberries here are ripe, deep, deep red in color which goes all the way the berry and perfectly shaped. They are delicious. I don’t know anything about farming so I have no idea how they manage this when all the strawberries around my home are not ready for prime time but I’m not going to argue about it. I’m just going to enjoy these wonderful berries. Next time you are in the area stop by and enjoy some.

Wonderful fruit and veggie stand that grows their produce right next to the stand they sell it at! They’re super fresh and delicious and are actually cheaper than if you went to your regular grocery store to pick something up. Please support this local business and purchase your fruit and veggies! They also sell some avocado oil!

Nice plump strawberries for the same price you’ll see them sold anywhere else in stands around town. Cheaper than the stores, better than the stores, and honestly these ones I didn’t find a bad berry in. Will go back again without a doubt. Mmmm!

How often do you buy strawberries at the supermarket, only to discover, they’re not what they appeared to be once you got them home. At the market they look so sweet, adorable, dark luscious red. They seem to be calling out to you«Take me home, I taste so amazingly delicious!». Instead, they taste rancid and sour. They lied to you! They got you, hook, line and sinker! Traveling through the city of Brea recently, we drove pass a strawberry field and noticed a fruit stand. Guess what Beatles song was playing on the radio at that moment? No, it was ‘The long and winding road’ eh eh! I turn the car around and go back to the stand. We discover the Manassero farm. It’s a third generation farming family, started in 1922. Now operated by grandson Dan Manassero, celebrating 37 years in the business. We were in business too! Made strawberry shortcake with whip cream that evening. The best berries I ever tasted! ‘Strawberry fields forever’ Yes indeed!

I’ve purchased strawberries here for several years, but have had 2 bad experiences with poor quality fruit in the past 3 months(don’t know if there’s been a change in owners or what). I’ve purchased ½ flats of strawberries which had nice looking berries on top — but after taking them home to clean, I’ve discovered that old, overripe berries were put on the bottom of the carton. I actually had to go to my local Ralphs last night to purchase more berries for a dessert I was making — and the stawberries in the grocery store looked much better(and fresher!) than Manassero Farms berries. After paying premium prices at the stand for strawberries, I expect to at least get fresh berries! Not going back to Manaserro Farms to waste money any more!

Dan thank you for your generous heart to give and support the community. Opening the door for my organization to glean your Farm has been exciting to all the organization that come out. The responses I get from Saddleback Church Food Pantry or Families Forward of Irvine are all the same. Even the National Missionaries that came out to glean a couple of months ago were excited to see the produce your Farm produces. Loaves And Fishes x10 a ministry dedicated to feeding the Community has been truly Blessed by your giving. Thank you.

These are the best strawberries money can buy. I avoid buying strawberries from the market and will go out of the way to come here.

I tried this place because I saw Ed C’s review on it. Husband and I were in P-town, so I asked him if we can make a detour to this farm. The pricing was on the high side. I think a small basket was sold for $ 3.50. It kind hurts my wallet considering you can buy a four lbs. box at costco for $ 5. I thought to myself, we’re already here, might as well try it. So, we brought the strawberries home, washed them and tried them. Boy… was Ed right or what!!! Every single one of them was like pure sugar melting in my mouth! But it tastes sooo fresh and good. Definitely good quality strawberries.

I used to drive down to Carlsbad as a kid to get farm fresh Strawberries. Nothing beats the taste of a natrually rippened fruit thats picked at its peak. On a recent Sunday drive through Brea I found a small, locally owned farm that sells everything it grow in the fields behind the fruit stand. AWESOME! Came here on Mothersday and had to wait in line to buy their strawberries– as they ran out. It was well worth it. After my purchase, I raced back home and ate a whole pint. These strawberries almost melt in your mouth and tastes like pure sugar. I will never buy my strawberries or any berries at the Supermarket again.
