I really wanted to like this place. The menu had a large selection and the counter service was friendly. When we took the food home, nothing tasted that great. Fish Taco was burnt, soggy and flavorless. Same with their soft tacos. Tried it once but never again. It just wasn’t very good.

First and last time going here. I was just looking for a good mexican restaurant and i found this place. I was coming out from work on a feiday afternoon and I ordered a dry burrito. It took 15 mins for them to notice that i wasn’t dlserved yet. I had my beer, paid for it and left. It’s ridiculous.

Love their chicken tacos! Actually I love all their food. Great prices. Family-owned business with a warm and welcoming feel to it. Will definitely be back.

Hot. I’m not talking about the spice or temperature of the food, but the restaurant itself. A little AC would go a long way and improve the enjoyment of the meal. That said, the shrimp cocktail is really good. It’s flavorful by itself or add some Tapatio for an extra kick. It’s mild enough that my six year old can eat it. The chilaquilles with green salsa were good, but the tortilla chips were a bit soggy. I prefer a little crunch for a textural note. The small tacos for taco Tuesday were good. Not king taco good, but for Brea, they’re good… better than taqueria de anda. The al pastor was flavorful and not overpowered with pineapple like Chronic tacos. It was moist and had just the right amount of spices. The carnitas were not dry, but there were some some fatty bits. No doubt, that’s what gave the moisture and extra flavor to the meat. The asada wasn’t dry, but I did get one gristly piece, but it wasn’t all chewy. The chicken taco was spot on with fresh cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. The kids meal was okay. My son likes cheeseburgers and fries and this one did not disappoint. But with all of their reasonable prices, $ 4.95 for a burger and fries was a little steep. The star of the show was the $ 4.99 you call it michelada. I got a 12 oz bottle of Tecate and a large schooner 1⁄3 filled with an amazing michelada mix. It was really good and the price was excellent. They have the typical suspects for their other beers: Corona, Dos XX, Pacifico, etc. For a neighborhood Mexican restaurant that serves breakfast lunch and dinner and good michelada’s, all that’s missing is the air conditioning to keep it really hot and spicy…

The food is very very good and their prices are reasonable as well. I don’t give five stars because for some reason when I go in there it seems like somethings missing. That’s just a feeling, because the service it’s excellent and the food is delicious highly highly recommend. ;)

Great wet burritos, the all meat one is wonderful, plus the chicken enchilada combo. The tortilla soup is very flavorful. Fish tacos great also. Plus, you can go online to their website and through a 2nd party, order online, pay, then pick it up. NOTE: can only use credit card if total is over $ 10.

My family comes here all the time. They’re pretty good with service and the food is also really good. Of course everyone has their off days and we’ve had our share of off days at the Wet Burrito. Yet we keep going back because it’s really yummy. Perfect for the Born-&-Bred-in-Mexico to the I-can’t-Handle-Mexican-Food-but-Still-Love-It types. My Review is specifically for their take out. My family orders take out from here often. The last two times it’s been pretty bad to the point where I feel the need to share. The first time they had forgotten a couple of tacos for my dad and enchiladas for my mom. The second time, they were super conservative(Donald Trump style) with the sauce for the wet burrito, which should have been called a dry burrito in our case. The thing that made me most upset was that we had ordered two Sierra Mists with our order thinking it was going to Yates like it. They ended up being pretty much carbonated water which my whole family dislikes. It’s not the first time they’ve forgotten stuff or have done a careless job on our order. To spare you the heart ache of not getting a wet enough burrito or a what was thought a sweet drink, say it there. Service there is better in restaurant than take out.

The wet burrito is a excellent Mexican style eatery located in Brea, close to La Habra. While it may be hidden within the strip mall, do not sleep on this restaurant for years like I did. They offer all of the usual Mexican restaurant staples; burritos of course(wet or dry style), tacos, enchiladas, tamales, ceviché, soups, and desserts like flan or the sweet corn tamalés. All the food comes out nice and hot, and the prices are good. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Usually I get a to-go order, but they also have sit down dining. The atmosphere is festive and I wouldn’t mind coming here for taco Tuesday. Service is fairly quick and friendly. Overall, I would recommend the wet burrito to anyone looking for a good, local, Mexican eatery and a affordable price.

This is one of my favorite Mexican spots in Brea. Their wet burrito and tacos($ 1 taco Tuesdays!) are legit. I also love their sweet corn tamale. This place is tucked away inside a little strip mall, but they know how to make food. The service is good every time I come here. You also can eat a bunch for cheap. All win in my book.

Don’t. Just don’t. We went on a cold rainy day because we craving soup and their sorry excuse for albondigas was just the beginning of the disappointment. The albondigas was 3 meatballs in warm water with 2 pieces of carrot, 2 pieces of zucchini and a piece of potato. I could have made it better with my feet. I added salt and salsa and said a little prayer. Thank God I just shared the burrito with my sister because their carne asada was like meat stew definitely not ASADA, asked for guac inside and didn’t get it but was charged for it. The chips and salsa were deeeecent, prob the best thing there. But seriously who can mess that up?

So tonight was a sad, sad night coming here for dinner. Last time was here it was a great experience. The server was nice but the food amount was really small for what I paid. I ordered a carne asada taco with rice and beans. She said it was a big taco but they filled up a small amount of meat in the tortilla that should have been meant for a small taco… Quite unfortunate…

The food is good, and good prices! The waitress they have is kinda slow and quiet, really not her gig. They serve pretty much everything your looking for in a Mexican restaurant. I like the Menu’s that are stuck on the tables easy to read and pictures like Denny’s.

Excellent excellent service. The girls were extremely helpful and always coming over to our table asking us if we needed more of anything. Wonderful service and care. With that being said, the food itself was mediocre. I wish, wish the food was better, so I can go back to this restaurant, but it is not. I love places that give excellent service, but the food at this place is not good for me to go back to. :( Five star for the excellent service, three star for the food, average to four star.

This place deserves 5 Stars just for the friendly staff, 5 Stars for the awesome salsa and 5 Stars for the variety and flavor! I’ve been coming here for years… took a few years off, basically because I forgot about it… but now I’m back full force. So yummy and I just completely love the looks of it in there, kinda festive yet really casual. It’s not a fancy restaurant at all but you still get waited on and served with a smile. I have tried tacos, taquitos, burritos, enchiladas, beans and rice(not all at once) and never been disappointed. My favorite, I think, are the cheese enchiladas… or the crunchy tacos… hmmm… or the seafood plates… ok, not easy to decide. But the food is all very decent here! The staff is all very friendly and I’ve never had a problem with substitutions or special requests. Great place! Cheers!

I’ve been coming here for years… Ever since they’ve opened I’ve been a customer. Management has changed since they originally opened but the food has been consistently good. They have a big menu offering many dishes and they offer lots of meats too like asada, chicken, pastor, lengua, etc. I like their soft tacos here, as well as their taquitos, wet burritos, tortas and soups. I really like their pastor meat here. Very flavorful. The service is always awesome. They are very nice here and give great service, whether you’re dining in or taking out. This place is truly a hidden gem in this little plaza on the outskirts of Brea. On Tuesdays, small soft tacos are $ 0.99 Senior discount valid on Mondays
