Treehouse Acting Classes

I have had Jay as a substitute teacher in an acting class, and I was very impressed by how he could dig deep and emotionally be present in the Meisner repeating he was teaching. I was so impressed that I have looked him up to continue to work with on an individual basis. He is both a warm-​hearted human AND a talented teacher.

Absolutely an amazing learning experience. I highly recommend Jay’s acting class to anyone on any level. I look forward to continue learning and honing my acting craft with Jay’s guidance.

Jay an absolutely incredible teacher I have developed on a personal level so much through this class of transformative acting I took it to become better at interacting with people and having more empathy as well as to transcend blocks in my own life the exercises I have learned and experience that I’ have had in his class have been absolutely incredible I’m not a professional actor and I didn’t take this class to become one I took it for personal transformation whereas with a creative class generally it takes a long time to master some technique before you can have any type of spiritual development from it but with Jays incredible guidance I developed on a personal level within the first class and immediately saw an improvement in my life. I cannot recommend this class enough it made me more empathetic with the ones that I love more connected with people and improved my business and clientele jay is one of the nicest most sincere people I have ever met and is truly driven to help people better their lives

I took an introductory Meisner course with Jay, and must say it was one of the best classes I’ve ever taken. The Meisner curriculum is amazing, and really teaches you how to get in touch with your emotions and the emotions of your scene partner. Jay was a fabulous teacher and a great guy, who was truly interested in his students. I highly recommend Jay as an instructor.

Jay is a gifted artist, teacher, and human being whose mission in life is sharing his gratitude and love of acting with each and every one of his students.
An inspiration in my artistic life, his curriculum and compassion allows actors to work in an environment that breeds creativity. To this day, before and audition or performance, his guiding voice remains with me, providing support and allowing my truth to to shine, forever dancing with the infinite.
He is that extremely rare teacher who has both the true gift and earnest passion for the work – with a lifetime of dedication in education.

Jay is a one in a million teacher, and I am so grateful that I was able to learn the Meisner curriculum from him. Jay not only knows the curriculum inside and out, but also knows how to teach it. He doesn’t just convey the information, he really understands how to adjust to each student’s personality, strengths, and challenge areas, and, perhaps most uniquely, he somehow manages to make you feel empowered whether he’s giving you praise for something well done or giving you guidance for something that needs more work.
In addition to studying Meisner with Jay, I had the good fortune to shadow his teaching in order to become an acting coach myself. While I can’t pretend to emulate his «magic» (as a few of his students describe it), I have received moving feedback, and have Jay to thank for any good I have done.
I consider Jay a gift to the coaching world, and can’t recommend him enough.
