My experience here started off good, but after using the snowboard for a day and communicating with the shop employees when I returned I was extremely disappointed. I rented an Arbor with their Head brand bindings to test out the board because I’m considering buying it. As soon as I started using the board I noticed that the bindings rotated freely on the board about 5°. I looked at the bindings after the first run and figured out it was not something that can be fixed. It was either due to wear and tear on the binding attachment system or a bad design. All of their snowboards have the same Head baseplate that allows them to easily swap out the bindings on the boards, instead of the traditional 4 screw attachment plate. When I brought the board back I told them about the issue and the answer I got was«well it’s a rental board and they’re all gonna be like that» Wrong answer. There is ABSOLUTELYNOREASON the bindings should freely rotate! So the shop saved 60 seconds screwing on a proper set of bindings and I spent all day on a sketchy snowboard. If you rent a board with this Head system I would highly recommend giving it a REALLY good twisting in the shop to see if it has any movement. It should not rotate, despite what the employees may say.

Staff was very friendly and the telemark ski rental was incredibly cheap. I was the first person to ever use the skis too.

I rented my telemark setup from these guys about 5 times. They open early at 8am which is awesome, and necessary if you’re taking lessons. The staff, including the owner Dave, and especially Sam are super cool and were always willing and happy to do whatever it took to tweak my setup for an awesome day of skiing. If we had to wait for them to tune our setup, they put a beer in our hands. I’ll definitely be back for anything ski related. I highly recommend renting or buying from these guys!

My favorite ski shop in town. By far the best prices for great equipment rentals, best prices on new gear(especially pre and post season sales)… Not a big box store. This is the ski shop locals go to. Worth straying from Main Street to swing through… It pretty common for the owner to hand out beers to customers. A sweet marketing practice if you ask me.

I emailed the shop a couple weeks before my arrival to arrange my ski party rentals and that would be coming in late. The shop representative was willing to have the shop open late for us. I emailed the day before our arrival and no response due to the guy being sick. So I called the morning of to confirm that we will be arriving late and the person there said he’ll leave a note for the evening shift informing them we’ll be coming and to call them when we land. I called right after we landed at 7:30pm to confirm that we were still coming. The rep said yes, we’ll be here and give him a call when we get close. So, I called when we got close and no answer. Went to AMR shop at 9:40pm and they were closed. IF we arranged for rentals and confirmed that we were coming late then why not accommodate a party of 15+? This threw off our holiday plans and was very inconvenient. AMR missed out.
