A Better Crawl

I wish I could give them 10 stars. Melvin’s work is meticulous and his work ethic is fantastic. He turned our crawl space from a muddy mess into a dry-​as-​a-​bone miracle. A plumber recently remarked on what a dream it would be if all crawl spaces were this clean and dry. I feel very lucky and grateful to have done business with A Better Crawl and recommend them 100% without reservation.

I am only in the initial «come out to look at the job and give me an estimate» phase, and I can already tell you A Better Crawl is 1,000% more helpful and professional than the company I used originally to do the work. That company did such a poor job on my cellar I cried when I saw it and had to find another company, so this time I turned to Unilocal.Wow. Thank you, thank you to the previous Unilocal reviewers. Now I, too, understand why everyone gives this company glowing reviews. Melvin clearly knows what he is doing. He is calm, smart, thorough, professional and extraordinarily kind. Right then and there, while bidding the job, he answered questions and helped me solve problems — right on the spot. I look forward to the company’s return to do the work. It will be a pleasure to update this review, but I need to do some foundation work first before I can schedule A Better Crawl to return to finish up the job.

Amazing Job. You know you got something great when other contractors such as plumbers and electricians come into your crawl space and they say «WOW, this is the nicest crawl space I have ever seen, can I get the companies name that did this, I want to refer them to my clients.»

I would give them a 6 Star Rating if I could! I do not often write reviews but I was excited and happy to write this one. Kendra L. below described A Better Crawls’ work as «flawless» and that couldn’t be more correct. Melvin, John, and John (that’s right, there were two John’s) were professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. AND CLEAN! My goodness… Not having done it myself, I’m sure that cleaning a crawl space can be a pretty grimey ordeal. These guys put down paper over the hardwoods and carpet and cleaned up whatever was on the paper every day before they left. How great is that? Not only did they do an impeccable job on the crawlspace, the customer service they provided was top notch. From answering questions, to explaining the process and their work… Melvin, the owner, even said that he would come by personally to answer any follow up questions if he is in the area, or I could just give him a call. There is a sincere element of caring with this company, which I believe is a rarity in this day and age. Cannot say enough good things. It’s a no brainer– if you need crawlspace clean up, call these guys!

Last month we contracted with A Better Crawl to completely seal the crawlspace under our house. Our experience with this company was flawless and we will not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. We are in the middle of having a bunch of work done on our house and this contract job with Melvin and his team has been the easiest transaction by far. They showed up on time, worked hard for three days, were perfectionists about their work, and did a great job of cleaning up when they were finished. We even received a thank you note in the mail today … how many times can you say that about a contracting company? Melvin and team — thanks for your great work and for treating our home like your own!
