Staple in Bremerton! When we are looking for a breakfast place there is never a doubt as to where to go– Hi-Lo’s is always the place. The food is always great. A variety of choices for us. We can always expect a small wait on the weekends and never mind sitting next door in the«waiting area» as there are always games to play and or magazines to view. Once your name is called(depending on the availability of course), you can choose to sit outside in a VW bus if you wish. There is no heat but there is a small heater inside the bus for your comfort. Of course we had to do this our first visit but sit wherever there is seating now. Same great menu in either location. We always debate over which mug to use for our coffee upon entering the café unless of course we order the hot chocolate with chocolate sprinkles. :) The menu is awesome as mentioned before. Always something for everyone. I vary my order greatly depending on my mood but there always ends up being Moon biscuits on our table some how. :) Heidi never disappoints with her kazoo and her lunch box of treats. We love this place.

Divey or hippish? HAPPYSTAFF Diner Food; big and sloppy but good! A little skimpy on the gravy, but large biscuits Serve yourself coffee Expect a wait Small area for seating They have specials but they run out fast to get there early! Yes, I will go back! Prices, very affordable if not cheap so leave a good tip!

$ 4.20. That’s how much it costs for a delicious lunch at Hi-Lo’s. The grateful bowl is so simple,(cheesy rice w/salsa, fruit bowl, and a choice between 2 different muffins unique to that day), but Damn is it good! I’m the sort of person who is compelled to try new things. I rarely ever eat at the same place twice in one month, and even when I do revisit a place that I’ve eaten at, I rarely ever get the same thing twice… Hi-Lo’s, and it’s wonderful grateful bowl are the exceptions to that rule, however. I go there at least every week. The folks there are always friendly, and they never leave you waiting for too long.

A quirky little gem in Bremerton. The little touches make this place so memorable like choosing your own coffee mug, the lunch box of treats at the end of your meal, the artwork, the servers… very hipster but very good. Word to the wise though — big portions so be warned. Their ‘green eggs’ are also really great along with their waffles.

Great breakfast spot. The friendliest, most genuine staff around. A very kitschy, whimsical feel(select your own coffee mug, VW bus sitting outside, fun old-school memorabilia all around). The food was delicious and surprisingly affordable — so cheap that I got two meals, because why the hell not. I’d highly recommend this cozy spot if you’re in Bremerton.

I LOVE this place! Right in my neighborhood, phenomenal service by everyone! I have never, ever had a bad experience here. The food is delicious, moon biscuits for sure, but I also love a delicious custom sandwich with some potato mac! The environment and eclectic decorations make this place a destination spot as well as a local favorite. With that, know that there might be a small wait that is well worth it, so give yourself a little extra time so you can enjoy! Also, sometimes you get the pleasure of meeting a new stranger by sharing a table, it’s totally not as awkward as it sounds! And it is always your choice. If you are contemplating going here, go!

Cute little place with lots of old memorabilia they don’t have much on the menu, but what they do have is great food! Very friendly staff!

Absolutely ahhhmaazing. Everything was very good. I got the breakfast burrito and my daughter and husband got pancakes. They even do awesome pancake animals for kids. Highly recommend this place. Portions are pretty big too, I was full before I finished. Which I was pretty sad about bc I wanted to taste more

Meh? I guess I don’t get it. Maybe it’s cuz I’m not from here? It was meh. The décor led me to believe it would be hippie-ish, which to me generally indicates some gluten free stuff and milk options. It’s much more of a family diner vibe than hippie. Which is fine, just don’t what I was looking for. I got eggs, bacon & potatoes. The plate was GREASY. Like, really realky greasy. Potatoes were cooked well, bacon was crisp, but my over easy eggs were over medium at best.(See pic) zero runny yolk. Sad breakfast. All in all I wasn’t impressed. It was ok, but Dennys is better sadly.

The perfect breakfast every time. Simple and to the point with a little bit of love. The staff is always very warm and welcoming and makes you feel like you have been friends forever! Definitely a place for everyone! Super kid friendly as well. I love watching their pancake bunnies and bears go past!

I love Hi-lo’s! Our first time we ate inside because the VW van was taken :(On our second visit we were able to sit in the bus but I was a little apprehensive about it since it was outside and I thought we would just be forgotten out there. I was wrong, we ordered our green eggs and ham(my most recommended item here) and our waitress checked on us regularly(WHEW!) I took off a star because both times the bathroom was a bit messy, it might have been that I followed behind some gross potty people or that they don’t check it that often. A must if your in the Bremerton area!

Found this jewel through Unilocal(Thanks reviewers!!). Small, eclectic vintage atmosphere. There is always something to discover on the retro decorated walls. They also hold the title of the unofficial thermos museum as evidenced by the huge collection of vintage thermoses! The food is cooked fresh, fast and a perfect price point. I had green eggs and ham: the pesto made it green and most flavorful. Portions were great. Love that they serve Fair trade, shade grown, Carbon free coffee. Tasty! Every employee was friendly, seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. We especially loved Theresa. She was so knowledgeable, helpful and just fun to talk too. This will be our new foodie stop after the Bremerton ferry.

Good food, friendly staff and fun environment. I love the atmosphere here, I just wish it was a little bigger, but maybe that’s what makes the place so endearing. The breakfast is delicious and the price is right. I love the coffee bar as well. A great staple in Bremerton!

Really great wait staff and cute environment but mediocre food. The«moon biscuits» we’re of a slightly floppy texture; the gravy average and slightly prepackaged which I’m sure was not helped by its luke warm temp. The waitstaff was attentive, kind, has some good jokes, and was the nicest part of my trip. The coffee was also good. Overall, if you stop in expect slightly above Denny’s quality food but in a really cute atmosphere with excellent waitstaff.

Where to start? I absolutely love this place. Why? Because it feels like I’m having breakfast at home. The staff was completely nice and friendly. When I walked in I was greeted with a heart sticker for vday. As usual I ordered a special meal that allowed me to eat almost everything I wanted. They was extremely accommodating to my meal request and everything came out perfect. I was so full that I didn’t eat dinner. I would defiantly recommend this place to everyone.

Not many things are open on a Sunday in Bremerton(who knew)… Enter Hi-Lo’s 15th St. Café. What a fun surprise this turned out to be. I don’t really have any information you haven’t already read from Unilocal — but I can tell you, I hope to come back someday. The wait wasn’t too terrible for lunch — we waited about 30 minutes in their waiting area next door. What a treat to have ample(warm) space to wait while reading or playing games or just talking with your friends. You’re welcome to take the coffee from the coffee bus to the waiting area as well which helps pass the time. I was craving pancakes and they delivered! Hot and fluffy JUST the way I like it. I had the deluxe option(egg and meat) and topped them with fruit and whipped cream. My husband went with the waffle version of the same breakfast. We were not disappointed! We weren’t expecting the lunch box of candy and the kazoo song at the end — but it was a fun touch to a fun lunch.

Deliciousness right here! Biscuits in waffle form, a side of potatoes, and good ol scramble eggs. Self serve coffee. Food was tasty and staff was friendly. Definitely returning with my hubby and donating a toy for the toy box. Check it out for yourself. Support local business!

My sister took my daughter and I here for her fifth birthday– what a treat! When you walk in, you’re kind of taken back by how eclectic but quaint the place appears. Mugs hang from the ceiling for guests to drink coffee– each mug is different! No two are the same(from what I saw), and they’re all neat in their own way. Just one of the quirks about this place that makes it so unique. Outside, there’s an older can they converted to a table top to seat(comfortably) a group of 4, but we opted for inside seating since it was a bit chilly. I forgot what we ordered specifically, but I do remember thinking«These portions are huge!» My sister and I could have shared a breakfast platter and still had food to spare, but I’m not complaining, the prices were better than Denny’s, the food much better and the service was excellent. When the server/cook found out it was my daughters birthday, they created a beautiful plate with pancakes shaped like flowers and butterflies with enough whipped cream to delight the birthday girl :) Special recognition like that is the best birthday gift to any little person, so she left feeling like a true princess. As I type this, I’m getting ready to wake my husband to this place for the first time, and I couldn’t be any more excited!

Awesome place! I came here with my GF on a busy Saturday morning. They had a waiting area for Customers next door in a small room, which I thought was really great cause that day it was raining and really windy, so Kudos for thinking of the customers. Now let’s get down to the food. As I was researching this place thru other Unilocalers, I saw that they had their own variation of Biscuits and Gravy. They used Biscuits batter in a waffle, which I thought was Genius. So I had to get it. My GF got a Blueberry Belgian waffle. That would have been enough for us, but the waitress told me that their special was Eggs Benedict, so the piggy inside of me immediately had to get it. The Moon Biscuits and Gravy was cooked perfectly and tasted great, the poached eggs on the eggs benedict was also prepared nicely, the yolk wasnt hard and was still runny. Hollandaise sauce was good too, it didnt break. I didnt get to try my GF’s waffle, but she told me she enjoyed it. Definitely would come back to this place, most likely will since the GF is statione over there.
