First I want to say that our server was attentive and helpful. The drinks were great. However, the service was slow… not enough employees for the amount of folks in the place. When Honor Bar just had the upstairs, may have worked, but now they have the old café space on the first floor and the patio, so suggest they hire a few more servers. We ordered the roasted nuts… really good and at the happy hour price, worth it. After having a couple drinks and perusing the menu, we decided on the cheese board while we were looking for possible dinner entrees. It took almost an hour before we got the cheese board and it was ridiculous for $ 13…a tiny piece of brie, one slice of pepper-jack, a couple drops of fruit compotes, something that looked like crème fraiche, and a small bowl of pickled onions… this was served with some very good cracker/flat bread concoction. There were three of us but this was really not enough for one person… it was laughable. We had intended to stay for dinner but decided against it. I think Honor Bar is great for a cocktail and the location is wonderful. However, don’t think we will bother with food in the future.

Food was okay. Potatoes were under seasoned. The pork loin was a little dry, could have used a sauce but flavor was great. It was a little over priced for what we got.(They stopped serving it with kale so it was a slice of pork with a lot of potatoes. And the plate was coated in a nice thick layer of what I’m to assume was olive oil, so a little greasy.) Baby baked potatoes were tasty. So was the Caesar salad. Macaroni was tiny and could have used more sauce as well but the flavor was great. I liked the nutmeg in it. I enjoyed the white wine, Coridvae Wise Guy Sauvignon Blanc, light and fruity. The red wine was good too, Sharecroppers Cabernet Sauvignon. Maybe the main chef was out today, but overall good meal. Server seemed to be texting or talking to the bartender so it was a little hard to get her attention so we could order. Not many people in there. Will probably go back to try their cocktail menu and happy hour appetizers. They looked great.

Updated review… the garlic bread and meatballs is freakin’ awesome. My gf loved baby baked potatoes but she’s a big fan of potatoes so she might be a bit biased. My favorite drink is the Zapata’s sweet revenge. My gf got a pomegranate lemon drop which was pretty tasty also.

I’m only writing a 4 star cause I’m so sad they closed their coffee shop. BUT the food upstairs is incredible !! It’s a must eat place! Lots of vegetarian dishes but small portions!

My husband and I stopped by for drinks and a snack a few weeks ago. We had a good experience. I couldn’t remember the name of the drink I wanted(I knew it had St. Germain and Gin), but I remember what was in it, so I described it to the bartender. The drink she made with the ingredients may have been the best I have had yet! We also tried the hot dogs. The kraut was superb! I can’t wait to go back.

Four stars atmosphere wise but don’t go if you’re too hungry. Small plates, delicious drinks. The Sage smash was tasty. So were the oysters. Very comfortable place to enjoy a drink and talk in a small, warm setting.

Interesting place to say the least… Let’s start with the atmosphere and seating. Small venue with ok seating, water filtered and very clean, music was from the 80’s. Now the food: prices were above the norm(42 for a T-bone). Menu had a small selection(which is a good thing). I’m impressed with the the speed and the device. I recommend coming out and trying this place but warn you that the prices are a little steep.

Very good food, politely and friendly staff! It was the perfect balance of being taken care of and not pestering us. The balance of relaxed yet elegant applied to the meals, drinks and feel of the place. We will definitely be back!

Amazing and original cocktails and bites with fresh, local ingredients. Great place for adults, but I probably wouldn’t take my kids here due to the small amount of times on the menu and my kids not being super adventurous.

Relaxing neighborhood bar and restaurant. I really love the smaller portions(almost tapas style). You can make your meal as cheap or expensive as you’re hungry for. They have great happy hour deals that I believe change often, if not daily. The drinks are expensive only because they are top shelf, and delicious. In addition to quality food a drink, the atmosphere is a mix of folk/boho and a hip city bar that looks out over a waterfront park.

What is there not to love about this place?! A Little pricey but totally worth it. I got the oysters which were local. My friends got the macaroni and the chicken wings and they were amazing. I got the peach and nectarine cobbler which was to die for and Claire was the best bartender and made us an off the menu drink and brought some iced pears to go with our cobbler. The customer service is amazing and cannot wait to come back. The patio is cozy for sure sitting out there next time!

(This is for the upstairs restaurant, downstairs café no longer open). Love their mixed drinks! Beautifully crafted and often made with local sprigs of mint or lavender. Their happy hour menu has some good deals – try the meatballs! Their Mac and cheese is awesome and the oysters come beautifully played with a tasty vinegar. Love coming here in the afternoons and evening to enjoy a few cocktails and tasty bites(made from locally grown meats, cheeses and more!) in the neighborhood. The staff is always friendly and makes us happy to be regulars. Went to one event in the back garden and would love to see more! Such a beautiful space!!! Glad to have this treasure right around the corner!

This is a review for the restaurant — the café is no longer open. Really really want to like this place since it is so close to our house, and I love the vibe there, but after about 10 attempts, I just don’t think we’ll be going back. Pros: beautiful location, warm service, local ingredients when possible, nice ambiance, somewhat family friendly. Cons: Food is rather salty, kitchen is extremely slow and plates often come out one at a time, very small portions for price, they run out of featured menu items very often, most everything is a la carte.

I’ve been wanting to try Scout Café for the past few weeks, finally made it there on a lunch break & they were closed. There wasn’t a sign indicating they were closed. However, the door was locked & the place was empty. I’m wondering if it’s closed for good??? Very sad to hear, if so, because the place is super cute & I would’ve loved to try them out!

Stopped in for coffee and really feeling this place! Got a large eggnog latte-nice and hot, the amount of sweetness and eggnog flavor was just right; it didn’t overpower the espresso(Stumptown coffee). I also indulged in a couple baked goods. The biscuit with preserves really surprised me; being from the south and having some not-so-good experiences with biscuits out west, I expected something too dense and sweet. I was mistaken; really buttery flavor and a crumbly, soft texture that was truly enjoyed! The blackberry preserves were also tasty. Also had the berry/pear strudel, which was flaky, tender and delicious! I’ll definitely be back and will try to take some pics next time.

Haven’t had the pleasure of coffee and pastries downstairs yet,(They close at 3pm) But the Upstairs Restaurant/Bar stays open late and it has a really cool feel to it. Found this place while walking my dog and stopped for a snack. Found myself sitting next to an open window with a wonderful view of the park, even allowing me to bring my dog in to sit with me at my table.(Talked to the couple that opened this place and they are totally dog friendly !! Cool Folks !) There’s a small bar to the left in this small but cozy upstairs dining area. There is even some outside seating in a little garden with an awesome Dog Mural on the side of the building. Only open a short amount of time so I plan to visit more to see how they do.
