Sound Dive Center

Horrible return policy. Brought back a product because I accidentally bought an extra literally 24 hours later with tags still attached, obviously unused. No return policy on the receipt, either. All they can do is give me store credit, which I won’t need.

I was told they only have one person fill tanks and that person only works three days a week — at a DIVE SHOP. Only game in town, so it messed over my outing since the guy called out sick and left me scrambling to find another source.
Same curly blonde haired lady «helped» me both times, but her attitude was exceptionally pisspoor — when and even acknowledged me.
I do not recommend this shop. In fact, I suggest you don’t walk but run in any other shop’s direction.

Sound Dive Center is one of those Gem’s in West Sound that may go unnoticed unless you had that keen sense of observation or radar only seen with certified divers… but even if you are not certified… drop in and look around!!!
Aqua Lung is my brand of choice and Sound Dive Center carries most Aqua Lung equipment… and many other brands. From wet to dry suits, BC’s, computers, regulators, masks, fins, boots & gloves… tanks, air, nitrox… they also offer certification classes.
A remarkable dive center that warrants nothing less than 5-​stars.

My experience at this store was not very good. I showed up, for the first time, to get my tank filled and to look at some equipment. When I approached the front desk, the women behind it seemed to ignore me. When I finally spoke up, she seemed annoyed, like it was a bother to help a costumer. I asked to have my tank filled and then asked if they had any hoods, at which point she points me the other side of the store. Her standoffish attitude prevented me from even considering asking if they had pony bottles.
When I got my tank back, it was hot! This isn’t my first time getting a tank filled, and I’m told by a coworker of mine that this is normal. But it was so hot, I thought I might melt something in my car! My coworker also added that it’s worth the trip to Tacoma to go to another scuba shop.

Great place for any diver to hangout and find what to do around the area. Jim is great and lets you know about all the upcoming dives. Unlike a lot of places, if they are out diving, you are more than welcome without cost so take advantage. This was my local dive shop for 2 years and would recommend it to anyone in the area.
