My husband booked this hotel through Expedia. Not what we are used to but when we found dog poop in the room I was disgusted! Never again.

What a great find and value. When we checked in, the lobby was clean and the staff was informative and friendly. They had complimentary fruit, coffee, and fresh cookies to boot. Our room was very neat and clean. The pool was very clean and well kept with a waterfall feature, a shower to rinse off and a barbecue area to do outside grilling. The complimentary breakfast was good. It has the traditional Belgium waffle maker, breads, cereals, juice and coffee. In addition, it had biscuits, eggs, sausage gravy and sausage links. Now, I know there is not a full kitchen cooking on site, but the food was hot and the area well stocked and kept very clean. I will definitely stay here again.

We were highly disappointed. This hotel has excellent reviews on TripAdvisor but we didn’t seem to experience what others have in the past. We made reservations for a standard room(1 – 800 #) but they reserved for a king. Right when you walk in you see a medium size stain on the couch. There were black curly hairs all over the sheets, the sheets kept popping off, dusty, car traffic very loud, the neighbors were very loud, random sign inside our door from previous guests(strange!), neighbors came out of non-smoking rooms smoking, old crates outside of a room, junk/toys in a window of a room, etc. The check-in lady was nice, brief, but fine. When you walk in the check-in area it’s so cute and clean, but when it came to our stay in our room it was very disappointing for a $ 119.99 + tax hotel. We have stayed at cheaper ones that were way more clean, quiet and enjoyable. It could have been worse but in our eyes it was the most disappointing hotel stay that we have ever experienced, maybe management leaves the reviews.

We were told that our two bed hotel room would be available to check into very late at night — After a long day of work, we found ourselves pulling up to closed lobby doors at 11:30 p.m. There is a small window to the left of the door, and the young man working the night shift came to our aide after three rings of the door bell. Quick and easy we were given our two room keys; however, the room we were put in was a one bed with a sleeper sofa. The bed was a spacious king; which the two occupants had no complaints about in the morning — but the sleeper mattress was in awful shape. No spare sheets were to be found, but a call to the office and they were delivered. We were told that there were not extra pillows to use for the sleeper, so we did have to take pillows from the people on the bed. Our sink did not drain. I called to let the front desk know, but that I did not want anything done because it was already midnight. The pool area looked well-kept. I walked past an area with a washer and dryer, and the was a coffee machine for use in the morning when the office was opened. If we had access to the two bed hotel room we were promised, I am sure my stay would have bumped up a star.

Should have just cooked but it’s Sunday. Had a hard workout. I can allow some extra carbs. Not surprised that the Best Western is now serving its own breakfast. Not sure what happened since the last reviews but my breakfast was not good. Maybe they changed cooks. Ordered the number 1 sausage patties, soft scramble the eggs hashbrowns with cheese and white toast since they were out of biscuits at 11am. First plate that I got was bacon, hard eggs, hashbrowns no cheese and wheat toast. The guy left so fast I couldn’t tell him obviously he gave me the wrong plate. 10 minutes later got sausage patties(were decent) hard scrambled eggs with zero flavor(scrambled so hard there was brown bits in them) and hashbrowns with two cubes of what looked like Velveeta cheese cubes on top(no attempt to melt the cheese at all). I’m starved by then so I ate the sausage and 1 piece of toast. How was your meal? My response was that the sausage was the only thing that was good. Their response was ’ well that’s good’. Lol. I’m home cooking breakfast now

Didn’t want to stay in Houston on our drive back west so we stopped over here. Nice country inn, fine people, complimentary breakfast at adjoining restaurant. All single level drive to the door, so convenient for loading bags etc.

Had an excellent breakfast at the Red Room, good service, well cooked food. Was recommended by two Brenham residents, who both said it was the best place in town for breakfast.

For the typical hotel manager, a bunch of twenty-somethings and 3 cases of beer in the pool area at 10pm is your worst nightmare. But not for the quality staff of the Best Western! Post-wedding(someone else’s), a large group of us set up a table to resurrect some of our favorite drinking games. After the first visit from the manager to see if we needed towels, we figured he’d made an appearance to inform us we were under surveillance. But after two more visits(one to tell us we had special permission to make merry in the pool area long into the night, and another to drop off popcorn and a stack of towels for the half-naked Fuzz n’ friends in the hot tub), we were in love. Not good news for the family of 3 in the room across the way, but excellent news for the majority of the guests at the Inn. The Inn itself was recently rennovated. Rooms are clean and cozy, and wifi is easy to log on to with no passwords or other hoops. All in all, a solid 4 to 5 stars. But only go to the next-door Red Room if you like waiting 45 minutes for breakfast or 20 minutes for cobbler and fried pickles.
