Found this bakery as we were exploring downtown Brenham. I was so excited that they advertised that they had Czech kolaches. I tried several flavors and they were all delicious. Also got an assortment of the beautiful cupcakes and each one was a winner! The forgotten cookies and lemon cookies were also great!(This was eaten over a weekend and I had help!) It is a very cute, clean establishment. This will always be one of my main stops when in town!

Absolutely cute shop in downtown Brenham on the square. This would be a cute place for a quick weekend breakfast before strolling around to look at the antique shops. I came in this morning for a late breakfast. We got our pastries and coffee very quickly. The owner and her son were nice and hospitable. The pastries were affordable and delicious. I tried the poppyseed and cherry kolaches which both had the perfect dough to filling ratio. Tastes like a classic recipe from grandma. The coffee and espresso beverages are very good as well. I’ll definitely come back when I’m in town.

The cupcakes are cheap, and the service is very good! This is a great place to go for delicious, homemade kolaches and pastries.

Cute shop that just opened recently on South Park Street on town square across from the courthouse building. Didn’t use Unilocal just walked in. Here my wife and I learned the difference between kolaches(fruit fillings) and the klobasniky which contains meats commonly confused with what Texans call kolaches. The difference was politely explained to us and we enjoyed the honest food education. Coffee was excellent(from Independence Texas just up Hiway 50), the Mexican Spicy Hot Chocolate cookies, Lemon cookies and fresh made lemonade made for a nice stop on the square. Lots of seating, sparkling clean and a refreshing place to chill in downtown Brenham. Nice service as well. Will go back for sure. AAA+++

Absolutely love the atmosphere of this place! Living in a small town has its advantages and disadvantages and this place is definitely an advantage. Great walking distance to downtown & beautiful people. You have to try the poppy seed!

Adorable café, great traditional Czech kolaches(the kind with fruit) as well as divine mini pies(try the buttermilk!), klobasniky(sausage-filled«kolaches»), great coffee, and very good cinnamon rolls. Definitely a place we’ll visit often.
