If an authentic Mexican restaurant setting and atmosphere makes you uncomfortable, then this place is not for you. However, If you want delicious food I highly recommend it! Amazing Biria!!! I ordered the dry Biria rice and beans. My Husband ordered the enchilada plate and we had a flan. All was delicious. Good service. Good prices. Good salsa. For spicier salsa ask the server. This place is next to a big market and in the same shopping center as Boost Mobil.

F this place. Sucks. The carne asada is really chuck roast, not flank steak! Don’t eat here, they will rip you off. I want carne asada when I order it. I know what my grandmas pot roast tastes like. You pieces of shit. Beware of their bs.

The good: chips and salsa were pretty good, Birria in Caldo was good, the Birria seca was okay needed a little more cooking time and add spices little bland. Nachos were pretty good, Tortas were just that Tortas nothing to write home about. Food alone I would have given it 4 stars. The bad: The service was horrible. At first we were greeted by a young lady who was new. She was very sweet and helpful. Then our waitress arrived and she was rude. Had the complete attitude that she did not want to be there. I have never ordered drinks at a restaurant and had them brought out in a tray and set the tray in the middle of the table saying«here» so we have to get them and distribute them accordingly. The food was brought out in stages so the first people to get food either would eat their’s before the rest of the group or wait and eat their’s cold. Again food was delivered as if she was doing us a favor to be there. Bad service from that waitress. I also heard the next table attempt to order and they were not Hispanic so they needed a little help, our waitress just turned and left as they were asking questions on the menu. She answered one and left they clearly needed assistance. The horrible: hygiene, on exiting the restaurant we saw couple roaches walking cross dining room from kitchen. This is never okay! Advise: first and foremost hire a pest control company! Second teach manners and spot check your staff on proper service. 3rd food is pretty good but I will never pay for average food coupled with bad service and especially pest issues as well. This place has potential just needs someone to care running it!!!

I wanted so badly to love this place. I love supporting family-owned business. It looks so authentic, and for some reason being in the Dollar Store parking lot, and competing with Taco Bell, I thought it would be inexpensive and better than the usual. I ordered my standard: carne asada burrito with guac, s cream, cheese, no rice. what I got was a $ 7.50 huge refried bean burrito with little else. The carne asada was sparse, and twice I had to spit out gristle. I did like that it came with fresh tortilla chips and salsa in my bag. However I won’t be retuning. I can go to La Costa a few blocks away and have an excellent version(no beans or rice) that is $ 1.50 less and lasts two meals

When it comes to Mexican food my parents are the pickiest little old Mexican couple you’ll ever meet but they LOVE this place as do I! Everything on the menu is good. The flautas are my fav. The owner is always so kind and welcoming! His passion towards wanting to carry on this restaurant his father first opened is extremely evident. The owner’s daughter helps waitress on days she’s off school and she is the sweetest! …so professional at such a young age. This is an overall great family restaurant.

Great chips and salsa(I cannot stand Mexican places that serve store bought chips!) and delicious beans! I don’t eat Spanish rice so I can’t speak on that. I always order Tacos. Chicharone or Carne Asada, both delicious. Customer service is always great! Beef stew is also great and I enjoy the extensive menu with authentic flavors.

Ordered to go last night and I should of stuck to fast food rather than this place. I ordered the Torta Hawaillana and the bread was burnt, avocado was brown and tastes nasty, barely had pineaple(this is the point of a Torta Hawaillana. My husband ordered 3 Carne Asada tacos and the we’re so bland. This is not authentic Mexican food. I recommend a taco truck called ELASADOR. They have authentic tacos!

I came in on a Sunday morning for the chiva and they told me they were out. I was kind of disappointed because this place was recommended to me for that reason only. I ordered the beef with beans and rice and it came pretty quick. The meal was decent but nothing to write home about. The meat had a strong cinnamon taste and the beans and rice were pretty good. Overall not a bad meal, I am not familiar with Mexican joints in Brentwood, so as far as what else is available I am in the dark.

Sit-down, not taqueria style. Prices higher. 3 people out door with tip $ 50, when taqueria would be $ 30. They have special goat meat dish, prettygood. Good service, good meats, good agua frescas. Beans, rice, chips okay. Nice enough. 3.5 stars. Would be 4 starswith slightly lower prices.

This place is definitely a good time. The food is great and the service is on point. My wife usually gets tacos and I’ll get a burrito or torta. Just recently I tried the Beef stew. It was awesome. Also the manager is always greeting people and is Very friendly. You don’t get that Kind of service in too many places. Come check them out, you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been here 3 times. Only 1 out of 3 times was I impressed. The first time I went here it was SOGOOD. The 2nd and 3rd time inconsistent to say the least and today my order was wrong. I ordered a Carne Asada burrito and bean dip with extra chips(picture attached). I don’t think I got a steak burrito at all I’m not sure what kind of meat it is was and it was extremely soggy, so it’s been thrown away. The first time I came here the tortilla was grilled prior to being filled, not today! Then the«bean dip». The first time I got bean dip it was served in a big container with mole and cheese and was delish, not this bean and cheese side crap it was also more expensive today, go figure. The service was RUDE which is why I’m not taking my incorrect order back, I’m not even in the mood to deal with it. Weekdays it’s a nicer younger girl and today was a middle aged rude lady. I paid she just threw my change on the counter, no thank you and she didn’t even tell me how long it would take for take out. $ 13 down the drain, Won’t be back, ever.

This place is one of those«hole in the wall» type places but the food is AWESOME! My wife and I both had the Birria de Chivo(Goat meat) and it was WONDERFUL! My son and daughter in law both had burritos that were both very tasty. At first my wife was really reluctant to try the goat meat after our server gave us a sample, but when she did, she was hooked! The service was very good as the waitress made sure we were taken care of constantly.

I’ve been to Bierrieria Diaz twice now in the last 30 days, being a Brentwood local and a lover of all things Mexican. After eating at La Costa and the Taco Factory, I decided to give this place a go based on the glowing reviews. The pros: EXCELLENT chips and salsa. The chips are warm and the salsa is flavorful and delicious. They set my hopes high. Also, the place appears to be very clean. The cons: Bland, flavorless food. Their tamales are so-so at best. They don’t compare to the tamales at Tamale Lovers off of Balfour. The enchiladas are very average as well. The meat enchiladas don’t come with cheese, which is odd to me. Just a wrap in a tortilla covered in your choice of sauce. Also, the rice is honestly the worst rice I’ve ever had. I didn’t think anything of it the first time I went here, but on my 2nd visit, this confirms it. Hard, dry, crunchy. Literally inedible. I want to like this place. I really do. The staff seems nice and I love supporting local businesses, but I can’t in good faith recommend this restaurant to anyone, unless you’re just here for chips and salsa.

I’m giving this place one star because the service was ok. I felt like I was eating a frozen Mexican TV dinner. For real. I got a chile relleno and a chicken enchilada. Took one bite of relleno and knew it had been frozen… and, it tasted old. Gross. The enchilada was edible. Rice and beans… standard frozen or from a can. Not even the drowning of cheese helped this. I’m so mad I paid 14.00 for this and ice tea.
