For a pub I was pleasantly surprised at the usual home cooked fares available on the menu. Meatloaf to Southern fried chicken. Then of course you have the Tennessee meat plus 3 options. I opted for a yummy southern fried chicken with sausage gravy. Delicious.

It’s the spot for a cheap drink. Food is below average… plenty of other places with similar pricing that has way better food. It all tastes like something you would cook The first time you moved out of your parents house.

Nipper’s Corner was desperate for a bar & restaurant and Corner Pub fills that need with flying colors. We are here almost every Friday for Happy Hour. The service is always superb and they have a plethora of TVs so your game will be on. I do wish they had 1 or 2 large TVs for whichever the sound was on, but oh well. Unfortunately, the TVs on the patio usually have a glare and it’s tough to see them in the afternoons. Their chips leave something to be desired but everything else I’ve tried on the menu(wraps, sandwiches, salads, etc.) has been superb.

Good place to watch the game. Clean and huge beer menu. Will have every game being played on some tv. Great service. Lacquered wood bar with the smallest rail. Wooden chairs and brass foot rest. Bar back has shelves, taps, and eight HDTVs. Tons of HDTVs throughout but not 1 – 2 huge tvs. Concrete floor and wooden ceiling. Will have all the games on but on a sunny day and due to the shape of the bar and location of the tvs, you will either have a glare or will have to turn your neck to watch the game. Wish they would have angled the tvs on the bar back. Food is very average. Comes out in lightening time. Huge menu, everyone will be able to find something. Solid local bar /restaurant.

I’ve been here a few times, never coming back. Food is sub par, service ok. Have had my order wrong twice, including hair in my quesadilla once. Heads up, the wings say dry seasoned, they’re not. They’re just fried wings. No seasoning.

The location is great, the wait for seating was quick, the server was nice and attentive, the kitchen was slow due to big party ahead of us, the food was just ok. I had the chopped steak meat and 3with collards and fried squash. The meat was ordered medium and came out well. I’ll give it another try with different entrée next time.

Bad food, bad service. Music is heavy metal. Who wants an hour and a half of that in the middle of the day? Very slow to get food to table. Very mediocre food. Too high a price to pay for that.

I was nearby on business earlier last week and a co worker that I was meeting with suggested this place for lunch. It is located in a new retail center on Old Hickory next to some new residential apartments along with new office buildings. The restaurant is a large sports bar that has separate bar and restaurant areas. I liked the interior. Since this was for lunch I decided on getting one of the meat and three options going with the hamburger steak with fried okra, mashed potatoes and gravy and grilled veggies. The food came out about 10 minutes later. Everything I put in my mouth was very good.(4). I was happy and pleased with the food and would(will) come back the next time I am in town visiting our nearby office. My feeling is that most of the items on the menu are good. I believe this is not only a good place to eat but also to come watch a game and have a drink.

This is a solid three star place. The service is mediocre, mostly because no one is managing/teaching/coaching them. The food came out very slow and was also mediocre. Decent beer list is slightly redeeming and they have plenty of tv’s outside is nice albeit very bright. Wife ordered the chicken and biscuits. They were out but only wanted to tell us about it 20 mins after ordering. It gets merit for being one of the few late night places available on a Sunday in Brentwood to get food but come with low expectations.

We visit this place today to pass sometime so we went in to get a few drinks. It looked like the bartender was waiting all the tables at the bar and around the bar. We got our drinks at a perfect time I had the Tennessee Mule which had strawberry whiskey in it and it was amazing I was kind of afraid to try it but I enjoyed it. The only problem we ran into at this location was when we was trying to cash out. It took so long cause the bartender was busy.

Good food and great ever changing beer selection. All of the corner pub’s have a different feel to them and this one is no exception. I love the outdoor seating. Nice comfy seats and plenty of lighting as well as TVs.

I really really REALLY tried to give this place a chance! :( Better half and I decided to check this place out on a Tuesday night, just to grab a few drinks and a bite to eat. Upon walking in your greeted with hostess to your left who accommodates you on seating. I wasn’t impressed by the layout of the place, some booths to your immediate right and in front, bar tables and the bar to your left, with a somewhat covered patio with seating. Better half ordered a frozen strawberry daquari in which they didn’t have so she settle for one on the rocks… they didn’t have that either so a coke was in order that she said tasted awful! I ordered a crown & coke which they didn’t have so i settled for apple orchard type of beer. it was fine Our food was mediocre at best and out waiter forgot about us for 45mins! so we had to flag one down… Won’t be visiting this spot anytime soon.

Solid beer list? Check. Ridiculously huge burgers? Check. Actual bacon on salad? Check. The waitress(Malia?) had a great recommendation on beer, too. And she was there when I needed her, but not hanging around, you know? I was able to get some work done while having a nice dinner, and a surprise of a beer. Headed back soon for sure.

I come here once a week and have been at many different times of the day. I’ve always had good and friendly service. There was one problem with a food order and they were ver accommodating and fixed the order immediately. I’ve only ever ordered the Hot Chicken Chunks and the club sandwich and this two are great. They also have a good beer selection. Give them a try.

Been twice. It’s a great location between work and home. But the food is not good. We each ordered a burger last night. How can you mess that up? Burgers arrived cool to the touch and charred.(Medium well and medium.) We paid an up charge to have fries. And they were bad too. A few frozen fries tossed in season salt shouldn’t warrant an up charge. Everything was cold. Even our cup of chili. Our server was great. Last visit I ordered the steak biscuits. Chewy and pretty fatty chunks of «beef» between some squashed little biscuits. We might give it one more try for convenience sake, but I don’t have high hopes. If you’re a half drunk sports fan looking to cheer on your team at the bar, this is your jam.

The food wasn’t bad at all, in fact I rather enjoyed my catfish and okra. My friends and I went to eat here after work. We had been to the Corner Pub in midtown so we thought we would have a similar experience at this location. Unfortunately it turned out to be the worst dining experience of my life. The service is atrocious! While we were seated quickly we had to wait for over 10 minutes before a server came to take our drink order. Our beers came out in piecemeal fashion and one was clearly not what we had ordered. The food took an inordinately long time to arrive and again in piecemeal fashion. I had ordered a meat n’ three but it came out as a meat n’ two with the wrong sides. Dessert arrived in to-go boxes because why not? Everything else about our service was incomprehensible so I don’t know why I was surprised by dessert. Anyway, the fried catfish and okra were good. However, I will never return to this restaurant again.

I’m giving Corner Pub a little bit and rounding up my 2.5 to a 3. It fills a need for the area and ups the level of competition for several key demographics. First off, this is definitely the best tap selection I’ve seen in S. Nashville/Brentwood, unless there’s some place in Cool Springs just across the border between Brentwood and Franklin. They’ve got most of the local favorites, including Gerst, Dos Perros, Yazoo Pale, and even a Black Abbey rotator! The prices aren’t the lowest, but they may have had some deals I wasn’t privy to at the two times I’ve been to Corner Pub. The prices are going to be higher somewhat than many others in the area, as the new construction and modern buildout means there’s going to be some significant operating costs and/or capital investments. The food is serviceable pub food — I’ve had the burger, fried pickles, and cheese fries. All were as good or better than most offerings at similar establishments. They serve the food on plastic plates, which is somewhat at odds with the prices and atmosphere, but it is their business to run. Plastic is hard to break. In short, Corner Pub, like many of the rest of its brethren, is going to be a place for the after-work and gameday crowds, as they have a substantial amount of high-def TVs surrounding their large bar, dining, and patio areas. The main competition for that in this area is probably Cross Corner — older, not quite as well-polished on the interior, but more established. It will be interesting to see how this new entrant to the Brentwood/S. Nashville scene fares.

I can’t believe how many reviews I see about the bad service. I went to Corner Pub with my sister since it was close to Target. We walked in and it was incredibly loud, the host was running around and it took her just a few minutes to get us seated. That isn’t a big deal to me. Our server came shortly after we sat down to take our drink order. We just ordered sodas so he wasn’t able to really screw that up much. Anyway, he was friendly and when my sister asked for suggestions he was very honest. We appreciated that very much! He was so attentive and kept coming back to check on us. We were never lacking for anything. I wish I had gotten his name because he was one of the best servers I have ever had. I believe that servers don’t get told how great they are enough so I wrote him a note and thanked him for being so attentive. Our food came out quickly. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with extra buffalo sauce on the side. I like my chicken saucy! Our server brought out the sauces before the food so that he made sure I had them when the food was delivered. That was a plus since he didn’t bring the food out. The sandwich was good. I wouldn’t say it was outstanding since it’s just a fried buffalo chicken sandwich but the sauce was definitely good. It wasn’t too hot but wasn’t too mild either. It was the perfect heat balance. I would definitely go back. Bummer so many other people have had bad experiences. My sister and I had a great experience!

I never knew this place existed until I went there to watch Vandy in the College World Series. The steak quesadilla was the best I’ve had in a very, very long time. It was quality steak, perfectly cooked with a little pink in the middle and seasoned perfectly and with grilled onions(hold the peppers). My daughter’s chicken quesadilla was good. The cheese fries(cheddar, jack, and queso) were good, and so was the brownie with ice cream. Service was attentive. Con: noisy.

Corner Pubs are popping up all over the Metro area, and I am a fan. Now given my propensity for smaller local establishments this one doesn’t meet most of my criteria for where I spend my money. However here is why I like it: The service is always good, the food is always good, and I always know what to expect. The sweet tea is excellent, and the Barbecue Wrap with a side of fruit is a great lunch choice. So given they have lost some of their original divey charm, they have sufficiently evolved so that this Unilocaler can still hold my head high when I walk out.(haha)
