I am so impressed with the quality of work! I showed Rick a picture of the gate I wanted and in just a couple of hours work it looked EXACTLY like the picture. I plan on using them again for another project. Thank you Rick and Ona!

Ricardo and his team completed our new fence last weekend. They came out and within two days there was demo of the old unsafe fence, and a new beautifully sturdy fence in its place. I can’t thank Ricardo, Ona, and their team enough for how happy I am. I should mention too, they’re locals! I love supporting family-​owned local businesses.

First off you will not find a better person in Ona that makes sure jobs are done right. I was very impressed with her professionalism and attention to detail. Workers arrived on time and the quality of the work stands out. I’ve used 2 other fencing companies before and I wouldn’t even think of calling anyone else.
Highly recommended it will be done right. The call back issues posted in prior reviews its a family business and Ona made herself available even while attending a school function, don’t get the impression this company doesn’t call back, she does a great job juggling time, you won’t be disappointed.

Same here. Exchanged emails. Ona said that someone would be available at 4:00pm the next day. I emailed her back saying that would work well. No show. No call. Left multiple voicemails trying to reschedule the estimate and assumed the no-​show was a «oversight».time to move on.

I have also called multiple times in the past 2 weeks and I have gotten no call back. I also put in a request on their website and have not heard a thing.

I have used Ricardo and his team several times for different fences and projects. The work has always been professional and the men have always been friendly and polite. Ricardo keeps me in the loop with scheduling, I know he has a long commute, so sometimes things change. Based on their price, the quality of materials they use and the craftsmanship, they have always met our expectations.

I have two fences that need to be replaced. I’ve called Hennessey’s several times over the last couple of weeks and they don’t answer the phone… ever. I’ve left messages and even tried their website based request for an appointment with no response.

My wife got a recommendation for Hennesseys from a facebook group she’s a part of, so we gave them a call to get a quote as well as A&J. There was a bit of a scheduling mix up and they were an hour late to the appointment for the estimate, but Ona called me twice during the whole thing to let me know what was up, and then to let me know when they would be there. They were super apologetic though and all was well.
They were prompt in returning calls and getting back to me with an estimate. I needed 50 ft of Fence done, and a 50ft 3ft retaining wall underneath it. Their bid came in 30% cheaper than the other company, using the same materials.
Ricardo and his team were out today and completed everything super fast. Everything looks amazing, and is super sturdy. Cleaned up after themselves and left me 100% satisfied.

Ricardo just finished his second fence for us, this one at our new home in Oakland. After they installed the first fence I knew where to turn when we bought a new house with no existing fence. They are fast, clean and make a beautiful fence. I highly recommend them!

Hennessey’s Fencing just completed a redwood deck and arbor for us based on some photos we provided. They had the best bid, and we knew the quality of their work from a good neighbor fence they installed for us in 2007.
Estimator arrived promptly for the appointment and quote was returned the same day. Work started on schedule and was completed ahead of schedule. Each day they were prompt, quiet, and never bothered us. Workmanship is excellent — every cut, joint, and length is right on. The crew made good design recommendations that improved the look and strength of the deck.

I was referred to this place by one of the moms in my mom group so I gave them a call. A lady was nice and we set up an appointment for someone to come over for an estimate the next night. Guess what no one showed up. That is irritating to say the least but when we gave them the benefit of the doubt and called back twice they never called back either. Wasted our time and lost our business and hopefully anyone else that is looking for a contractor that keeps their word and provides customer service.
UPDATE: The owner read my review and supposedly wanted to make things right but then ended up flaking as well and never provided the quote for painting it as she initially said she would offer a freebie or discount so I said we needed our new (by another contractor) fence needed to be painted. We provided dimensions and she said we would be contacted and GUESS WHAT? We weren’t. Flaky as heck, they just want their Unilocal reviews cleaned up but you have to offer good, reliable service in order for that to happen.
