BEWARETHEPRIMERIB. I ordered the smallest serving on a recent Sunday night and it was terrible. It looked like a somewhat thick slice of roast beef… not how prime rib is usually served. I should have known things might not go well when our server asked how I would like it cooked(I thought rare was the only way to enjoy prime rib). On past visits I have usually ordered the Flo’s filet… wish I had done the same on this visit.

Why don’t people ever reply? I hate 1-star ratings! Here’s what I sent on March 27th — per their request — so that a corporate person would reach out to me… that never happened, so here we are… «I’m just going to try to give just bullet points because there was just too much going on. –server SHE was totally frazzled, didn’t know about Prime Time, when she finally found a menu she apologized because it was all bent and dirty. –ordered drinks, one being the dirty martini special. Arrived as a tequila martini(told it was a new bartender and she was just practicing?). Asked for the menu listed blue cheese stuffed olives and SHE was annoyed and said she would have to go stuff them. –15 minutes later, martini arrived and only filled the glass half way. Again, SHE was put out and went to bar to get more. We got it 10 minutes later. –ignored for about 15 more minutes(did you guys have her in a 6 table station?) –ordered apps, 1 chicken finger chopped up? Jalapeño poppers soaking in sauce? Onion soup that 100% had not a single onion. We went through it with a fork to make sure we weren’t crazy. It also tasted like melted stuffing(so much… sage??) All of that said, yes, I think SHE could have handled the challenges better, however, she was absolutely not set up for success. We thought it would be fun to try a new spot for our Friday Happy Hour, but I think we’ll just stick with Firebirds, their prices make more sense and they get it. We go every Friday and typically stay for dinner so with 4 of us we spend close to $ 400 a week… definitely didn’t stay for dinner at Longhorn.» PS — -I subbed out the server name, hence the SHE.

My wife and I have dined at this Longhorn’s for about 10 years. She’s a real fan, me not so much. Yesterday, she persuaded me to eat dinner there. Our first class server, Pamela, brought us a loaf of their yummy, freshly baked almost as soon as we were seated. I ordered a simple meal– 8 oz Renegade Sirloin. Steamed Broccoli and Rice Pilaf. The steak was cooked as ordered and the vegetables exceeded my expectations. Now, my wife had the 16 oz Prime Rib. Her fabulous piece of meat appeared to be perfectly cooked. If my steak had been as outstanding as my wife’s and if I’d ordered their Sweet Chili Calamari for an appetizer, I might have given then 5 stars, but neither happened.

New Year’s Eve treat to send off 2015. The one thing that elevates this chain restaurant from 4 to 5 stars is always the staff. Hands down my favorite Steak Place in Nashville. Food is always good and if it’s not they make it right. The Bartenders, servers, hosts, all are friendly, quick and just good at their jobs. The hour wait passed quickly at the bar, love the Tonion appetizer. Our Sever Jack caught on to our playful and upbeat mood and just played right along. Two mangers visited. The New York Strip was awesome as was the French Onion Soup. See y’all in 2016!

Great restaurant with fantastic food. Our waitress Soi was wonderful. She was Cheerful and very knowledgeable about the menu choices. She went above and beyond to make our experience great. The steaks were cooked perfectly and melted in our mouths. Don’t pass this place by!

Stopped by here a few weeks back and my wife and I had the porterhouse and the outlaw ribeye. I usually get the ribeye because I like more marbling. This particular ribeye was overcooked and was fairly lean to be called a ribeye. Someone ran that poor cow around too much before it met its end. My wife’s porterhouse was perfect! She ate the filet before throwing in the towel and bequeathed me the strip. The strip was tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection! She usually complains that no matter what we order, I get the better meal, but this was the exception. That porterhouse was out of this world!

Truth be told, years ago I tried LongHorn(you know, back when they had peanut shells on the floor) and I wasn’t a huge fan. However, I tried LongHorn again recently, and WOW… what an incredible improvement! That is, an incredible improvement in menu offerings, deliciousness of the food, and overall environment. On my most recent trip, we had a handful of appetizers… the Wild West Shrimp, Oktoberfest Mussels and Brew Pub Pretzel Sticks. All three were wonderful and packed with flavor. For my entrée, I had the parmesan-crusted ribeye with a side of asparagus. OUTSTANDING! I ordered it «medium» and it came out exactly as ordered — a rarity these days. The seasonings and parmesan made my mouth happy. We finished our meal with the Chocolate Stampede and Pumpkin Spice Lava Cake. Both were fantastic! Portions of EVERYTHING are HUGE and truly meant for sharing. And the service? It was absolutely incredible! Our group had a number of servers helping us… and everyone did a perfect job! Not a glass of water went unfilled. Not one person at our table had a complaint. And the timing of our courses coming out was exactly as it should be. Temperatures and flavors of all courses were just right. Overall, I was absolutely thrilled with every aspect of this meal. We will definitely be going back to this location again and again! Great great GREAT job, LongHorn Steakhouse!

It’s Longhorn :) Staff was friendly as was the owner. I was there for a tasting of their new fall menu items. While I’m allergic to shellfish the shrimp and muscles looked good and were a hit with the rest of the table. The stand out app for me was the pretzel and beer cheese. Lots of restaurants are offering this now but the pretzels tend to be too dense for me. The ones at Longhorn were on point though! Almost a yeast roll texture. Excellent. I had the ribeye and the waitress recommended getting it parmesan crusted– best decision I made all night!

I attended a Unilocal!event at the Brentwood LongHorn location on Old Hickory Blvd. If you haven’t been to LongHorn in a while, you must give it another try and I highly recommend this location. It’s obvious that the employees love their job and have tremendous respect for their manager who has been with the company for 20 years and at this location for 10 years. He takes great pride in making sure the guests have what they need and enjoy their meal, I am confident he treats his employees the same as his guests. As for the food, I was VERY pleasantly surprised! We started with the Wild West Shrimp, Oktoberfest Mussels and Brew Pub Pretzel Sticks. All three were fabulous and the portion sizes are huge… perfect for sharing! I’m always a little weary of mussels at a chain restaurant but these were great. Up next… the salad course and I chose the Blue Ridge Wedge Salad. The manager explained that this is one of the seasonal specials because romaine is currently in season. It was crisp, fresh and the dressing is house made. For my entrée I had another seasonal item, the Harvest Mushroom Filet with a side of asparagus. The steak is legit! So tender you can cut it with a fork. Finally, we topped it all off with the Chocolate Stampede and Pumpkin Spice Lava Cake(seasonal). While both were amazing, I was so full that I only had a bite of each but the Pumpkin Spice Lava Cake was my favorite! Again, the portions are huge and meant for sharing. Give it a try, I promise you will not be disappointed. I will definitely be back!

Great service, great memories and a great experience! September is always a rough month for my mom and when she saw LongHorn Steakhouse, she lit up a bit. They have a meal that she absolutely loves and we were sad that we didn’t see it on the menu. After asking the server about it, the chef somehow remembered this one menu item from years ago and made it for my mom. Talk about service! She was so happy about it and we will definitely be back!

I love longhorn so much. Even though I usually prefer local spots, my family and I eat at longhorn relatively often and this is by far our favorite location. The ambiance is rustic chique. It’s the type of place where you look to the left and there is a stuffed deer head and to your right is some vintagey looking chandelier. I love restaurants that go all out with their décor. Their bread is to die for. I think it might be rye? I’m not sure, but it is delicious. This time we tried their onion petal appetizer and their stuffed jalapenos. Both were average, nothing extraordinarily special. But our entrees were DELISH! I love steak, it’s the best. Anyways, I always get mac and cheese here. I know it sound juvenile, but this is seriously some of the best mac and cheese I have ever had. The service is always perfect here, and they take extra precautions to make sure that you are satisfied with their meals. I never had to ask for a refill, they were always on top of it. Also, fun tip… if you sign up for their«email list» then you get a free appetizer!

I went here recently for a business meeting, which the waiter respected and was very patient with. On top of that he was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, making a great suggestion. The food came out quickly and was well prepared, despite the fact that it was the middle of a Sunday afternoon and the place was busy. My steak was prepared as I ordered it, and my broccoli and salad came in ample portions. We stayed for well over an hour and the entire time our server checked on us without being pushy. Overall, this was a great experience and I was happy with the service I received.

Wanted to write a quick review former the great experience I had tonight at the longhorn in Brentwood. Food was good and consistent with other Longhorn locations, but what really stood out was the staff. Pamela was friendly and attentive, even going out of her way to indulge in a small conversation. What really portrayed the awe factor was the managing partner Dago Melendez. I was flying solo but he still stopped by my table not once but twice to see how I was doing and if I needed anything. He also gave me his card. He did such a great job that a guy from another table turned around and stated how impressed he was with Dago. This then sparked a great conversation with this gentleman and his wife. More restaurants need managers like this. I didn’t give it 5 stars because they didn’t have the mushroom soup even though it was on the menu. Longhorn, if you are reading this get more Dagos!

Cold as described by another recent reviewer? No. Tonight, the place is almost uncomfortably warm, humid… and it smells bad… a bit like old dive. Air conditioning problems? Listening to people asking to warm it up? Far and away from a great first impression, but… every place has its ups and downs. No? It’s Happy Hour and the tables are filling away from the less busy bar. Must not be a traditional HH gathering spot. Steakhouse martini: vodka, a little dirt, olives sleeping with the bleus. Up. Happy. But this is a steakhouse, right? So, I order the Calamari. Nice. Crisp. A bit on the oily side, but nice(it could use hotter oil or a longer drip time, but I’ve definitely had worse elsewhere.) It’s a meal for two or snacks for four. I munch on alone. The ginger-chili sauce is on the hot end of the scale. A bit too warm, but it works. Another martini calls for more food. Let’s be fair. It’s a steakhouse, no? I order the lobster and shrimp chowder. So, sue me! What this place calls a bowl is a cup in other joints, but the chowder is tasty. It’s also packing some heat(nice, but it could really do without.) Verdict? This place is for folk. Hungry folk. No beautiful people here and it’s jamb-packed full o’folk. Staff are nice and the food’s still moving out of the kitchen in herds. Not bad. Not bad at all. But, that smell… well, it’s finally being overrun by the kitchen.

LongHorn Steakhouse has a rep for providing great steaks and delightful meal choices and this one holds true to that! Pro’s: Nice setup i particularly like the stained shiny wood dinner tables… it may be weird but there’s something about it that makes me feel homely :) Our waiter was prompt and very very kind. She explained any and all questions we had. Our food was great! Cooked exactly how we asked. Con’s: Now I don’t know if this is such a bad thing for anyone else but i particularly don’t want a picture of a cow/steer in my boot right before i order a steak… just had a small level of guilt as I bite into my juicy steak but quickly overcame it as each bite was more flavorful then the next… sorry cow :( Will defiantly be back!

I went here last year because their commercials had great-looking specials at reasonable prices. But I couldn’t find any reasonably priced steaks on the menu they gave me and ended up spending a lot more than I wanted. I felt took. I thought I’d try them again but wanted to verify their menu online first. This was frustrating because each page had only four items. I gave up. So I wanted to give them some feedback. Their comment form required my life history, mother’s maiden name, any birthmarks or tattoos(I exaggerate, but only a little). When I finally hit the Submit button, it gave me an error and wouldn’t accept my comment. I realize that the website isn’t run by the Brentwood restaurant but, after my first experience, it prevented from going there again.

Absolutely the nicest wait staff of any restaurant! We had to wait a while because it was valentines day. So obviously this was to be expected… but we were seated in a little over an hour and a half. While we waited I ordered a drink and it came out super fast which was shocking because they were so crowded! So the wait staff was on too of it! As for the food, you cannot get a better steak for a better price! The food is so yummy! I had the salmon and asparagus and it blew me away. So flavorful! You should call ahead or make reservations if they are taking them that night. Longhorn never ceases to amaze me. The food is excellent and the staff is very polite.
