Went there with my sister for a late lunch(around 1:30pm). We ordered a burger and a sandwich, each shared half. The food was excellent. We ordered zucchini sticks for a starter but it did not come. When our food arrived we mentioned the appetizer, the waiter forgot to put it on the order and apologized. To our surprise, he brought them to the table mid-way through our lunch and did not charge us for the zucchini sticks.

This is a nice facility for a large group lunch or dinner. Parking is good and the building is modern and clean. My recent experience was with a group of 80 or so, most of us over 60 with just two menu choices for dinner. Compared to a similarly priced meal at a South San Francisco hotel the day before, I found the food at Nines to be bland and the beef in particular to be institutional quality at best. Drinks are measured(read small) and are expensive. Expect to pay at least $ 7 for Château Screwtop(read cheap) wine by the glass and $ 6.50 for well drinks. This isn’t San Francisco but the drink prices might make you think you are there.

I really WANT to love this place! The location is great, love the outdoor seating and bands, and actually the dinner I had last week was good — the Apple Cider Chicken Salad. My son wasn’t excited about his fish & chips, and my husband had the Caesar salad — hard to mess that up! We keep going back, and keep getting disappointed… well, I’m not doing it again! Service was nothing to write home about, not to mention they stop serving dinner at 7:30(yup on a Friday night!) and bar service is over at 9:00! And it took an act of congress to get a glass of wine!

This use to be a good place to eat. They have cut back their hours and menu. I would classify their food on par with Chilis. I will look else where to eat.

Was happy to find out they serve breakfast on the weekends, but stop serving at 10:30am. Such a shame because their patio area is beautiful and would make a nice brunch area. They get a 4 star because the kitchen was nice enough to make us two breakfast entrees although we came late. Great service!

This restaurant used to be one of my favorites. The new owners/management have shrunk the menu down to virtually nothing, which is a complete tragedy. Before I couldn’t decide what item on the menu I wanted to order, now there isn’t anything on there that I would order. What a shame.

Went here for breakfast before our round, it was good. Pretty healthy portions on the french toast with eggs and sausages.

I returned here for Mothers Day Brunch. It was just OK but I have had a lot better. So weird, their dinner was so wonderful about a year ago but it was not great for Mothers Day. Our waitress was not very attentive at all. I had to get up and get my own champagne and coffee since the waitress never came to check on us. I think I may try Caps next time. I hear they are really good.

Beware, new management has changed the extensive menu, or should I say, minimized the menu offerings. Our favorite foods were no longer available. We will really miss the braised shortribs, a signature dish. It was obvious the kitchen and staff were struggling. I drank three sodas before the bread and butter were served! We were not impressed by the quality of our meal or the lack of creativity coming out of the kitchen. Good-bye, Nines.

Ate here a few weeks ago with a girlfriend for lunch. Used to live here before the town exploded with homes and shopping centers, thank god for GPS or I’d never find my way out now. So she figured The Nines was a easy meeting point, just off the new bypass for me. We met around 1:15 so not to many folks eating lunch at that time. Our waitress was attentive and my California Chicken Sandwich with grilled chicken breast topped with Jack cheese, avocado, tomato, red onion, lettuce, and served on foccachini bread with pesto mayo pretty tasty. It also came with a choice of fries or pasta or green salad(I opted for pasta). And for $ 9.95 a pretty hearty meal. The atmosphere was kind of «old-school» restaurant to me, low key and perfect for a function. I guess I’m spoiled living near SFO/Berkelely/Oakland and all the ethnic and unique restaurants and cuisines. So yeah it was nice, and quaint… service decent. Bathrooms clean!

We took another couple to dinner and conversation. The food was good, but not outstanding, Unfortunately, the place was so noisy that we were not comfortably. The music was so loud that I believe it encouraged people to talk louder and we could not compete.

Great staff, love the people who work there. Food is good, not 5 star good, but very good. Great place for a banquet or wedding, they do events better than anyone in town.

We chose The Nines to have a quiet birthday lunch today and it was an excellent choice! At our table we had a shrimp louis, a Nines Burger, a Diablo Crab Melt, and the Bistro Steak Salad. All were quite good, although the steak salad was a bit too spicy for me to enjoy, and the crab sandwich could have used a bit more seasoning(funny for something named after the Devil) My son-in-law, who had the hamburger said it was extremely good… his only complaint was that they put the mushrooms on top of the cheese, rather than underneath, hence a slight construction flaw. ;-) Well, as a chef, he would notice such things, but not I! Although tiramasu is not my favorite dessert, it’s what my daughter wanted, and I do have to say that the version here was extremely tasty. Service was top-notch, Susie was our server, and she did an excellent job keeping drinks filled and diners happy. Two Thumbs up!

Best burger I have ever had! High quality ground beef really makes a difference. Fresh toppings and a nice cold beer make it super. I would say it the best high end burger in Brentwood.

The wedge salad is nice with blue cheese, tomatoes, wedge of iceberg lettuce and that decadent creamy Italian dressing. Yum. House wine was decent but not«outta this world». The Dover Sole was disappointing. Dang it. That is a delicate fish and it tasted like the pan it was fried in. Metallic. The white wine sauce had NO flavor at all. None. Ok, maybe it tasted«wet». Oh well. Lesson learned. Don’t order the fish. But that won’t keep us away! There is still alot more on that menu to sample! Bring it on! Service by Jonna was great! Very pleasant. OH yeah, the dessert was pretty(brownie sundae with a flower perched on a MOUNTAIN of whipped cream! Who could ask for anything more?!

I think these folks really try hard. Alas, the service and food remains very lackluster. Skip it on a holiday, you’ll be better served and have much better food at the VA hospital.
