As two(full time working professional) new parents, we struggled with the idea of where to send our daughter for infant childcare. Being new to the area, we didn’t have any word-of-mouth recommendations to rely on, but we knew we had a few criteria. We wanted: –An in-home setting. One where the child care group would be small and close-knit. And one in which staff turnover would be minimal. We like the idea of the same caregivers seeing our daughter every day. –A program friendly to an exclusively breastfed baby. I send in bottles of pumped milk with our daughter and leave extra frozen milk for emergencies. Additionally, as I work from home, I’m able to stop by and breastfeed my daughter a couple days a week. –A group of caregivers who are experienced, knowledgeable, and easy to communicate with. –A relatively flexible care schedule. Our daughter attends full-time from 8am to 3pm, though other children have different schedules. Some attending part time, etc. Upon meeting Magic and discussing our needs, we felt immediately comfortable with her approach to childcare. Our daughter started attending at 10 weeks old and we have been very happy with our decision. Magic(and her assistant Yvette) are great with the children and have encouraged open communication about how our daughter is doing, etc. Added bonus: getting a daily summary of her«activities»(I use this term lightly right now… I mean, she’s 4 months old so she doesn’t do much except eat and poop at the moment) sent to my email at the end of each day! While I’d love to be home taking care of my daughter, The Wiggle Room really is a little family, and we’re happy to have her cared for by Magic and Yvette.
