I tried the classic wishing pot and garlic noodles here. The flavors in the pot didn’t drench all the seafood and the sauce’s consistency was more on the watery side. We opted for the mixed sauce which was supposed to be garlicky and spicy but it tasted more sweet and buttery. I didn’t taste the spicy kick I was hoping for. Moving on to the garlic noodles, it didn’t have much garlic and tasted more oily than anything. Overall, the food was okay to me and definitely can’t be comparable to Boiling Crab by any means.

I’m giving this 4 stars because the food that they did have was very good and the waiter was cool. Or perhaps it was the drink I had because the first 2 that I wanted were a no go because they were out of many ingredients, even grapefruit juice. We had the big daddy of big daddys The Colossal! It was fantastic but missing the crayfish because yes you guessed it, they were out of them tonight and from reading some of the other reviews, I guess this is the norm for them. Not ever having crayfish, I didn’t miss them and they gave us extra shrimp to make it up to us so I was loving that. All 3 of us were totally happy with this giant pot of yumness! It had 3 kinds of crab, muscles, clams, shrimp, corn and potatoes and I think some spicy sausage and it was in an amazing garlic and buyer sauce which tasted heavenly mixed with all of the juices from the seafood. They cook and serve it in the same giant pot so nothing gets lost. So happy in fact that we almost finished the entire thing! So if you want a delicious and social diner experience definitely eat here, it is also economical because you will not have to eat for around 24 hours! Go for it…

Made reservations for Valentine’s day a week in advance. Got to restaurant ½ hour b4 our reserved time. We were seated a little while after our reserved time and no one ever came to ask if we wanted anything to drink. Finally after sitting 30 minutes someone noticed that we might not of ordered yet and asked if we had been waited on. Nope! After they finally found us a waiter we ordered calamari appetizer, 2 raspberry margaritas, steak and lobster, and the lobster dinner. The calamari was greasy and tasteless with no lemon. Drinks were VERY weak($ 11 each) and our entrees took an hour and a half to get to the table. Everyone that was seated after us was done eating by the time our food arrived. My garlic noodles and lobster tails were cold and my husbands steak was the wrong cut. The manager said it would be fixed right away… 30 minutes later it arrived again. My noodles were warm to the touch, veggies were Hot as hell(and so overcooked to mush) and the same lobster tails were on my plate, cooked a second time apparently because they were unable to be eaten due to the fact that you couldn’t swallow them. My husbands steak was weak at best! Lobster tail was the same as mine and his garlic noodles were warm. I guess you have to get the bullshit steam pot with all the frozen corn cobs and potatoes if you want hot food. I’m from Santa Cruz where you can’t get enough fresh seafood. This was not fresh whatsoever! First time and LAST time we will ever be eating here. Funny how management thinks they can mark %50 off of your BS meal and you will go away as a happy camper. All I wanted was a decent meal out with my husband on Valentine’s day… but it looks more and more like that is not possible here in Brentwood.

Excellent service and food. Quiet atmosphere and since it was my bf’s birthday, they did not charge for his dinner even though he was just filling out the loyalty program card that same day and it usually takes a week to get the free birthday dinner offer. I recommend this restaurant highly to anyone wanting a quiet seafood place.

Went there yesterday for lunch after the movies. First off don’t go there for the crayfish they’re always out waiter told us they wouldn’t be back in till February. We placed an order for wings and softshell crab for an appetizer. The waiter then came back to take our regular order out and goes oh forgot to mention were out of softshell crab. So we ordered the fried calamari which proved to be underwhelming. Had the lunch seafood entrée of clams and mussels and garlic noodles. I ordered the spicy and it was plenty spicy! Garlic noodles are good but nothing to rave about. I don’t think I will be returning in the future.

Still out of crawfish! They offered to add other seafood to my steam pot instead. I chose clams. It was good, but I was in the mood for crawfish.

«Never judge a book by its cover» The Cover: Dark restaurant you’ve never heard of tucked away between some massive marquee restaurants that never seems to be busy. The Actual Story: Flipping amazing. I only write reviews when something is exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. Misses and I ordered the Classic Wishing Pot which was filled with crabs, shrimp, Sausage, Potatoes — pretty standard stuff for a steam pot. But what makes this place exceptional is the seasoning. Everything is marinated rather than dry rubbed so you full, rich flavor in every bite. Service is decent, didn’t want for anything the entire visit. Highly recommended hidden gem in Brentwood accessible from bypass, ample parking, and fast service.

Absolutely disgusting. It was my first and last time. The house salad was gross(it was all icebergs) The crab had no taste whatsoever and the garlic noodles were basically raw noodles with a huge chunk of garlic on top. Would not recommend! And to top it off the food made me sick… I could barley function at work after eating here.

First time trying this place and never again ! Very Disappointed !!! Sauce was watery and lacked flavor. Their Spicy Sauce or what they called spicy, well let’s just say Tabasco is spicer than their sauce. THEYWEREOUTOFCRAWFISH! We were a party of 8 and they charged automatic 18% gratuity which I found unfair cause the service was not good. Had to keep asking for stuff like water cause she only checked on us once. Should of went to Concord to Rockin Crawfish !! Food Amount was skimpy and lacked flavor. Whoever gives this place a good review for yummy food seriously has a bad taste pallet . Sorry but not worth the money.

Amazing and fresh. The service was extremely well. The continued to check on us. Not annoyingly but made sure we were comfortable. Although the tables are close together and they did put us really close to the next couple(my hubby is tall) so he was a little uncomfortable. Well priced for seafood. Would love to make this is a regular spot.

Had lunch here today with my son and mom. We are celebrating my birthday(8th) and my son’s birthday(13th). The three of us each had the whole Dungeness crab — garlic herb butter flavor, 2 plates of garlic noodles, and Cajun fries. All delicious. No complaints whatsoever!!! Would done there again. Nice atmosphere, clean. Kim was our waitress and she made sure to check on us about every 10 – 15 minutes. Go and see for yourself. I know some people have had bad experiences here but try it for yourself.

This place used to be but after the rush of a new business opening died down so did the service and the food. Went here with my family and got sick because the shrimp was not thoroughly cooked, it was still translucent in color not bright pink as it should’ve been. But I went back after that and had a great experience. Then the time after that this being the most recent, I was not impressed. The hubby and I stopped there after a long trip from half moon bay for dinner & it was not what he had experienced before. The food was mediocre & I had to ask the waitress for a beverage. She had never taken our drink order. Then after that I didn’t receive my drink until the end of my meal!!! Which is crazy because if I wouldn’t have asked about it no one would’ve even brought it to me! Smh

This place is awesome for happy hour. You can spend like 20 bucks and leave satisfied. If you sign up for like a member pass. U can get a birthday comp for up to 17 dollars. I love any kind of seafood boil. U must get the mix marinade it just taste so good on the crab. I absolutely love the crunchy shrimp and garlic noodles. My lease favorite is their garlic chicken wings and fries oysters.

Ambiance: Located in a nice outdoor mall in Brentwood. A pretty casual joint with not much in the way of décor or theming. Service: Our server was nice and friendly. Everything came out as ordered and in a timely manner. Food: We stuck to mostly King Crab with some sides, corn and garlic bread specifically. 2 lbs in Cajun Sauce and 1 lb in garlic butter. The Cajun was not good. Tasted like bad curry, it had a sweetness to it, like from under cooked onions, that didn’t go well with the Cajun spices. The garlic butter was good. King Crab is pretty expensive wherever you go, so no surprise paying $ 30/lb, but it would be nice to have the legs cut open for easier access to the crab meat or at the very least provide scissors for the king crab. The legs are pretty spiky and hard to break with normal crab crackers. All in all, I’d be in no hurry to return but you could also do far worse than this place.

On a nice Friday evening my family and I came here to celebrate a birthday. We choose this restaurant because we saw they specialize in seafood, close to home, and we are big fans for it. When we came in it was a tiny wait to be seated. When we got to our table we were assisted by our server and he grabbed our drinks. After a while or two we decided on ordering the colossal. Un sure of what it would be like. Overall, I think the wait time for food the food to arrive to our table was too short and because of that we felt some of the crab legs weren’t cooked as well and that the sauce didn’t drench the meat which was disappointing. One of the sides we ordered was french bread and honestly it was disappointing to me. It was just a loaf of bread cut into slices… Not toasted or seasoned. I wish they would have done that. The food was okay but compared to boiling crab it doesn’t meet that. The sauce was more oily and wasn’t as tasty. And it didn’t stick or drench the shrimp as well. Also they didn’t have a more spicy option ehhh rather drive and wait for boiling crab next time

Had the biggest craving for Boiling Crab and really didn’t want to deal with the traffic getting there from the East Bay. My boyfriend and I passed by The Wishing Crab several times while walking to the theater and finally decided to try this place to satisfy our cravings. We saw some of the Steampots were recommended for servings of two, so we ordered the Louisiana Steampot in spicy. The waitress told us we had the option of substituting items from our steampot for different seafood if we wanted to, but we decided not to. Like BC, they give you the bib, utensils, towels, but instead of the table being covered in paper, they have a bucket to put your trash in. The food came out quick. Everything was in steampot. It came with 1lb of crawfish, shrimp, clams, 2 half-corn, 2 small-sized sausage, and 2 potatoes. Although it seems like a lot, it wasn’t enough to satisfy both of our tummies. The sauce was okay. I think our mindset was expecting it to be similar to ‘Whole Shabang’. After finishing, we should’ve substituting the clams for more crawfish/shrimp considering you’ll get more for less weight. The overall order was a little more pricey than what you would order at BC and we’d walk out feeling full at BC. They also offer 10% off your bill if you check-in on Unilocal! Although it wasn’t great, it also wasn’t bad. Would I choose this over BC? Heck no.
