I hosted my hubby’s 40th at V&G and it was amazing! The service, food and drinks were fantastic. I had no idea what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised at how attentive all the staff was and it was packed that night! Thank you for making it perfect for our family and friends!!!

Love the local wine selection and multiple beers on tap! Not that I would drink it, but $ 8 for a Coors Light is ridiculous. Steer away from food. Crab panini is made with canned crab, and what they claim is a cheese and charcuterie plate, is nothing but pre-packaged items from Safeway. Good atmosphere. Kinda noisy but not bad. Wife definitely decorated on a budget at IKEA. We will go back, but just for a glass of wine.

Location is difficult to find. The only signage is a small swing sign as you drive into the streets if Brentwood. I drove by it twice. The place is beautiful, very intimate. The patio is nicely decked out. I came here with a large group. I tried some of the food and it was pretty decent. Some dishes were better than others of course. Everyone kept screaming the deliciousness that is the tacos there.:) Wine of course was great. I noted the service team was well trained in the proper fashion to pour wine. Why only a 3? Well, the service team, despite their knowledge in pouring wine, was not great. They have plenty of craft brews available. I’m sitting outside and started to ask what they have, mind you again we are in a large group and are paying quite a bit for glasses of wine and apps, he tells me to go inside and read the boards. Okay… I explain to him I am a former F&B manager and maybe we could just discuss a bit and pick something out without me having to get my purse and wade thru the crowd to read the board… He just stares blankly at me. I start to read off some types of beers I have enjoyed(categories like Hefes and such) so maybe he could make a suggestions he walks away. Really now? Fine. I walked inside and ordered my beer. It was okay. It just could have been handled much better. Maybe post an identical beer board outside to reference to? I don’t know what the solution should be but it should start with a «customer» and end with«service».

I love this wine bar! Everything about it is wonderful… the ambiance is amazing, the service is wonderful, the food was yummy(which I did not even know they had) and of course the wine selection was perfect! Not to mention it was a chilly evening and they now have that covered too so that you are able to enjoy sitting outside without being cold! :)

First off, great job on the décor and the vibe of this place!!! I’ve been here twice so far and I have loved each time going. My server both times were amazing and sooo helpful. Friday nights and Saturday nights ar sooo busy. I love how friendly all the employees are and how they are sooo helpful and willing to answer any question you might have for them. They really make it a point for you to feel at home. Very cozy feeing to this place. Will return !!!

100% 5 stars for this adorable and full of «yummy» venue! The atmosphere is great, especially if you love outdoor seating; even in the cold/rain it was covered with outdoor heating and blankets. Service was awesome, and the sparkling Sauv Blanc was delish! I was probably most impressed with the food though, which was totally unexpected. Their«small» plates are quite generous and everything we tried was top notch. Crab melt was to DIE for, I’m already thinking of my next visit to get my hands on one again soon. I highly recommend this adorable place!!!

I’m not from Brentwood, so I don’t know where«par» is, but to quote Goldilocks this place is «just right». The beer list isn’t staggeringly long, but it’s long enough to give you options. The space is smallish but still ample. Let’s call it cozy. Inside and outside have completely different feels. Inside is darker, with hard wooden surfaces(for the daddy bears). For the mama bears: the outside is warmer, both literally in that there are heaters and figuratively with more lighting and soft couches for seating. The staff are what sell this place, very friendly, provide top notch service, and great at helping you choose your vine-based or grain-based beverage.

Nice wine bar. It’s a bit loud for a wine bar, skews more towards a younger«bar» like crowd. In my thirties I tend to like more quiet wine bars, though it’s hard to fault a business for being successful. Great and wide selection of wines, even some beers, and some interesting small plate and deserts are served. The outdoor area is where this place really shines. It’s an engaging atmosphere for taking in some wine with friends.

I love everything local… and just moving to Brentwood, after 4 years in downtown SJ, it’s been hard for me to find fun and hip places. Vine + Grain just saved me the trouble from looking any further! With a cozy interior and royal purple outer patio, Vine + Grain has created an ambiance to appeal to all age groups! The outdoor seating is comfy, comes fully equipped with blankets, and has outdoor heating. Ownership and staff are super friendly. We met Anthony on a sunny Thursday afternoon, and he shared his expertise in beers and brews. They rotate their beers on tap almost weekly. He also gave us a free sample of the maple beer. I ordered a white wine flight which was very decadent. And ordered the crab cakes, bruschetta, and chicken tacos to share. These light bites are flavorful, affordable, and pairs well with the drinks. The bruschetta is a winner, always include that in what you choose to order! And the crab cakes came in second place for me. I know for certain this is the spot to take out of town visitors who are looking for some kind of night life or midday buzz! Happy and proud that this is locally owned!

Came to check out their tap selection and I wasn’t let down. 15 rotating taps. Nice relaxing atmosphere(around 2:30pm). It’s nice to see a craft taproom open up in «The Streets» because there isn’t anything like it around here.(BJs doesn’t count!) I can see this place being very busy in the summer when its warm and they can open the garage door that leads to their outdoor patio. Patio is covered and has couches, heaters, and blankets. Wait staff was prompt and friendly — he greeted me, talked to other customers at the bar, and made sure that the customers behind me, not at the bar, were happy.(it wasn’t very busy when I came) Eager to come back to try new beer.

There’s something endearing about this place. Sure the décor looks like a basic girl’s bedroom but it’s still a calm and comfortable place to get a glass of wine. Also, they have a pretty cool rotating beer list. Their wine list while it could be slightly improved by adding more obscure local wines(Livermore, Anderson Valley, Santa Cruz) was still acceptable though I’d like a whole additional page to choose from. Still, great place for a pre or post date, dinner, movie… whatever glass of wine or beer.

Loved it!!! I went here with a few girlfriends on a Tuesday night of all nights and we had a great time! Music going, patio heaters, and wine! We were plenty warm enough with the patio heaters! The owners were so nice and very attentive, making sure we were taken care of and had our food and drinks! It’s a great place to catch up with friends and that’s what we were looking for! And the bites were delicious, especially the bruschetta! Yummy! Definitely will be coming back!

So disappointing. I really wanted to like this but our second visit was our last. To begin with the deviled eggs which we had liked a lot on our first visit had obviously been sitting in a refrigerator for some time. The filling that had been creamy was now doughy and whatever it was that was crisp the first time was now soggy. Yuck. We each took a bit and shoved them away and complained about them to the server. Then came the scrambled eggs. To my surprise it was just scrambled eggs without even a slice of toast. No Tabasco sauce though they did have other hot sauces. The advantages of Tabasco sauce are you know how hot it is and the bottle makes it easy to put on just as much as you want. Then the tab came and those deviled eggs were still on it. I got it removed but I should not have had to ask. On top of everything it is pretty expensive: $ 7 pints. We wished we had gone to BJ’s nearby. Sure it is a chain but it has a very good selection of beers for a good deal less money and a large and diverse menu. Ah well. Six weeks later I got a response. 1÷7÷2016 Hi, Niall. We very much appreciate your review. It’s VERY important to us that our guests always leave more than satisfied & want to come back for more! We’re hoping this was a fluke situation and we can redeem ourselves with you! We’ve made a handful of changes to our menu to ensure the absolute freshness for you and the Brentwood Community. We would like to offer you a $ 40 gift card so you can come back to have an excellent experience. We strive to be better than the day before and hope you give us another shot! We look forward to personally meeting you! Cheers! Alyssa Roos

So nice atmosphere, and friendly waitstaff. But they were out of their 4 most popular snack items. We were told they sold out last night(Saturday) and Sunday is re– order day. So that was disappointing. They need to work on that! Update!!! Came back today after a movie. Heat lamps and blankets and excellent service! Noticed they also had a fire pit. Nice!

first time and will likely not return. Every light beer was unavailable except the Pilsner which after my 1 glass the waitress informed that it was no longer available. I indicated that I did not like flavored beer but the waitress kept recommending those beers to me and would give me samples — 4 samples total, so the upside was that I didn’t have to pay for the $ 15.00 beer tasting! (Why I give 2 stars) Great concept, Good location, atmosphere is nice — with the exception of the waitresses outfits. Trashy attire for a wine bar. A $ 17.00 glass(not even a full or ½ glass pour), is outrageous! My friend had the international wine sampler — the waitress wasn’t helpful or informative about the order in which to taste the wines or which food would pair well. We had the cheese platter, it was just ok. Placing the olive dish on top of the honey wasn’t a well thought out idea. Heat lamps would be a better option. The blanket idea while cute, just isn’t practical — too many cooties!

This is my fourth time here in the last five weeks. The appetizers have been fantastic. The olive tapenade and evoo is a good choice and deviled eggs are the best. The fried butternut risotto is also a hit. There has been live music and a Celebrity signing with Brandy Glanville last weekend(Housewives of Beverly Hills). The customer service has been great(owner/operator of course) and there is a great micro beer selection. The wine selections are bold but worth trying. They also have generous beer and wine flights so you can try a tour of options.

Vine + Grain is a nice place to visit for a glass of wine or decent beer. It has an outside beer garden-esque area, but since it sits in a busy and somewhat unattractive retail center, looses some of its atmospheric appeal. The wines were good, but I was overall a little disappointed at the limited wine list, especially for a wine bar. Compared to a recent wine bar I visited in Livermore, it was pretty small. I had their 2010 chianti, which was very good, and decently priced by the glass for the area. Their food menu has some great sounding options. I had the cheese and charcuterie plate, which was very good. It came with two high quality cheeses and meats, honey and preserves, pecans, olives, and bread. It was a good compliment to the wine, and perfectly sized for 1 – 2 people(may need two for more than that). I sat at the bar and the staff was very nice, attentive, and helpful. Check this place out, especially if you’re in the area for shopping. However, it may not be worth a trip.

Went for a nice afternoon with a friend. We sat outside and loved the big chairs. They do have a tv, but I don’t think it’s totally necessary. It’s a beautiful spot to just hangout with friends. She had a red wine and I had a prosecco. They had lots of beer and wine to pick from. I wish the small plates menu had more variety. The deviled eggs were delicious. The bruschetta was very good. I suggest turning it into a panzanella instead with the beautiful cherry tomorrow’s that was used. All in all, Vine + Grain is a nice place to go with friends for wine and apps before hitting dinner elsewhere.

I really wanted to like this place. We walked in Friday night and it was pretty busy. After ordering our drinks we were lucky to snag some seats at the bar as a couple people left. They have 8 or 9 craft beers on tap and a huge selection of wine, which I indulged in. The Riesling and Moscato were delicious and our bartender was friendly and helpful. There was one person in particular who ruined our experience here, and that was one of the owners who was behind the bar. When a couple girls walked up to order drinks, he made them wait so he could go «crush a beer in the back». I get that working at a bar has its perks, but this was a classy establishment. Also, I would NEVER tell a customer I was going into the back to shotgun a beer. Ever. At one point I needed to use the restroom, but they only have a single toilet for all the patrons and I didn’t feel like waiting. He had the nerve to grab me and tell me to stay and wait. There is no excuse ever to touch a female customer. I was immediately uncomfortable and left. It was clear he’d had a lot to drink and didn’t care who he offended in the process. My boyfriend and I like to spend money on good beer and wine, and unfortunately for them we won’t be doing it here ever again.

What a nice addition to Brentwood. My wife and I love small bite food. Great choices that are delicious and unique. The owner, Anthony, took a moment to check on us. Our new date time place for us. We will certainly be back.
