Yummy! I had the fried tilapia with a side of mango salad!(Got it spicy) Perfect portion, made fresh to order and great customer service! I will definitely be back!

AMAZING! Best Thai food around. I have been to others in the area and they don’t hold a candle to the quality of Yum. The staff was friendly, the owner even took the time to come over to our table to ask how everything was, he was gracious and kind. We will never go anywhere else! AMAZING. AMAZING!

Omg I went here for the first time today and the red curry with beef was literally so good. Maybe I’m exaggerating a little bit but I’ve never had any curry better than this. I don’t know why I’ve never tried this place and also the service was super great. I would definitely come back here again!!!

Jessica made excellent recommendations. What a sweet lady! She helped me twice and she was doll. Food did arrive a little later then they said, but soooo worth it. Delicious! I wish I lived here for another meal(maybe today) lol. Open a location in Santa Cruz.

I was disappointed with the food after all the good reviews. I did not like the pad thai, and the larb was horrible. The massaman and green curry were decent, but not great. The woman who answered the phone was super nice and they had good customer service when fixing a problem where they overcharged me. The great customer service is what kept the review from being a one star.

My wife requested Thai food for Mother’s day, so I figured we would try out Yum Squared. We ordered the pad thai, green curry chicken, fried chicken appetizer, and the Mother’s day special of fried tilapia with mango salad. The serving size and pricing are pretty competitive with many of the Thai restaurants I have eaten at. The pad thai was really good, as was the fried tilapia and mango salad. The fried chicken was a pretty large serving for an appetizer, although a couple pieces were a little over cooked. The green curry chicken was excellent! Just wish it had a little more chicken. Overall the food was well worth it, and definitely a place I will eat at again. We called in the order and it was done in the amount of time they said. The staff was efficient and polite.

Yum Squared is truly a gem of a Thai restaurant here in Brentwood. Some of my wife’s co-workers are raving about this restaurant so we had to check it out, especially me being a Thai food lover. If I remember, we ordered Satay Chicken, Larb Salad, Pad-Thai, Red(and on a later visit Green) Curry. All of our dishes were delicious. My daughter really loved their Satay Chicken. Their Larb is exploding with flavor. I reckon how extraordinarily delicious was their peanut sauce that accompanied their Satay. I also recollect how fresh their Pad Thai was; noodles and its pals are gleaming wet because it just came out of the wok. Oh, and I wouldn’t forget how bold is the flavor if this noodle dish. What made me a fan of Yum Squared is that the chef does not compromise on how richly flavored Thai food is supposed to be. When I requested our server to ‘unleash hell’ on my Red and Green Curry, Yum Squared obliged and I was happy tearing up as I devour their curry. Maybe because of their minimal selection that they are able to keep their quality in check? Anyhow, Yum Squared is the best Thai restaurant around Brentwood by a good margin.

Yum Squared is an understatement. It should be yum to the 9 millionth power. I ordered the beef pad thai and i must say… this was the best pad thai I’ve ever tasted to date. The oil from the meat brought so much flavor to the dish. The restaurant has partnered up with 5star, and you get at least 20 points every $ 10 you spend. I’m on track for a free iced tea! The location is also conveniently across from John’s Ice Cream. Used to be oodles for noodles there, and even though I was sad to see that go, this new restaurant does not disappoint. Not many places to sit because it is a rather small space, but you can drop in for a quick lunch or a to-go order.

First time guest to Yum Squared and it was awesome from the moment I walked in! Plus my lunch was on point! I came before any lunch rush on a Tuesday afternoon and walked into an extremely clean dining room with open kitchen so you see everything. Spotless there too! I sat in a comfy half booth with plush pillows and listensed to tasteful french inspired music while looking over my lunch choices. Thai Iced Tea — delicious! SokuThai Spicy Noodle Soup — yes please! Talk about fantastic from the first bite. Highly recommend. I will be back! Lots of phone orders while I was there so to go seems popular as well. Love the use of fresh local ingredients. Come to this jewel and leave happy!

I must say… YUMMY! Freshly prepared perfectly spiced. I ordered their Green Spaghetti with beef *medium heat* I am a very picky eater and I found this perfect. Noodles, strip of perfectly cooked beef, mixed veggies *all fresh* bamboo shoots, basil. Lemongrass flavor with perfectly cooked seasoned *med spicy* noodles. Wontons stuffed with pork and served with sweet chili sauce. 14.00 for both I couldn’t feel happier. Only bad thing about writting this review is that everyone will soon know about this hidden gem of a Thai restraunt. Only suggestion I would give is add some garlic or spice to won ton stuffing.

WOW! What an amiable little mom n pop Thai restaurant with tasty food. Unilocal shows two check ins but we only made it in today(the first was to get the 10% discount that I saved and used today) Husband was sick with a sinus infection so we decided to go out for some soup to calm his sore throat. Husband and I both ordered soups not on the menu and even still our plates came out delicious. He ordered a spicy concoction beef and noodle soup loaded with vegetables and I went for a pork fillet noodle soup with vegetables. PERFECT!!! The server as well as the owners/cooks stopped by our table to ensure the soups were to our liking since they were not regular menu items. All around we were treated with great hospitality. In fact, we were treated so well you would have thought we were close family or if that doesn’t fit for some, royalty! :-D We’ll most def be back. If you are looking for a cost effective tasty meal with fresh ingredients and excellent customer service, I recommend this here little place.

Food is delicious and the service is friendly. The restaurant was recommended to me by a coworker who said that it was the best Thai food he’s ever had, and he lives in San Francisco. I came on a Thursday and Jennifer, my server, was very friendly and helpful with trying to find me something I would like to eat since I have some dietary restrictions. What she recommended was excellent and I will definitely come back to eat here again. The food is fresh and the noodles were cooked to perfection.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the Pad Kee Mow Spaghetti, but it wasn’t terrible since I did finish it after all. I saw that most people enioyed it, but it wasnt really for me. I did like the beef that I choose. On the other hand, the Pad Thai was pretty good. The chicken wasnt bad since it wasnt really dry. The place was empty when we went a little before 7PM. We took take out and it was done when we went to pick it up, the take out container was a plus, the amount of food was a good amount, and everything went well. I’m pretty sure we’d be back and depending on our next visit, it’ll determine how I actually like it. Overall, good experience for the first time. The place seems legit, tons of parking when we were there, and friendly service. Prices seem fair as well.

I wished that this restaurant would be my to go place to eat for Thai food but it’s not. Don’t understand how this restaurant works. Is it a sit down first like a sit down restaurant, order, wait for food and eat, or a fast food place where you order at the cash register, sit down, wait for food and eat??? I saw people doing both ways. The portion sizes are very small even though the prices are a little less expensive than the other Thai restaurants in the area. Good to say though the Pad Thai noodles with beef $ 9.00 was very delicious. I gave one star for this. The Thai Beef Noodle Soup $ 9.00 was very bland. I would never order this again. The fried tofu $ 5.00 was dry. It comes with a small bowl of sweet chili sauce. I would not order this again. If you want water, they have a pitcher of water and paper/foam cups available. The owner who was in the kitchen said«Thank you» to us when we were leaving. I gave one star for this. The female owner who worked up front seemed unhappy.

A great Thai located in where, Brentwood? where’s that at?, I know It ain’t in San Francisco, not Albany or Berkeley! nope but it’s in Brentwood CA, that’s 94513!!! ya that’s the one … Simply Delicious, Friendly service, worth a try over and over again! try one or all of the appetizer, they are simply delicious! but if you can’t decide, the Friend chicken and wanton are my personal favorites — hope this helps. my Other notable favorites are the fried chicken salad(just like the appetizer) and Pad Kee Mow Spaghetti It’s a simple place, nothing fancy just great food!

This place is really yummy! We ordered the Sukothai spicy noodle, the basil chicken and the satay chicken. All three dishes were flavorful and had heat. The noodle soup was especially delicious. The owners are Thai, so the dishes are pretty authentic. I hope they will stay that way. Have a feeling they might need to tone down the heat to cater to Western taste. The restaurant is quite new, so the staff is trying to iron out the kinks. For example the host was really nice, but he was pretty green and kept bickering with the chef. I hope they fix that soon, otherwise it will catch up to them once more and more people come here. Anyway, keep up the good work Yum squared! Look forward to coming back.

Pretty good for the Brentwood/Antioch area. Very clean and attentive customer service here. Still new so you’ll have the restaurant to yourself. The pad thai was only okay. Quite salty and didn’t hit the spot like the pad thai I like at Lers Ros in SF. The green curry had the right amount of spice, tang, and sweetness. Definitely order the curry when you go here!

After reading all the reviews on Unilocal I finally find a night to go there for dinner with my daughter. We both like Thai food! We walked in and went to the lady in the cashier. She pass us the menu. Looking into the menu I found a nice selection of vegetarian dishes. We ordered the Tofu Pad Thai, Tofu Fried Brown Rice, and the Papaya Salad without the shrimp. The lady in the cashier served us the food, everything was looked very good. The papaya salad was the best salad I ever ate. It was sweet and salty. Crunchy and fresh, the dressing was perfect! You must try it! The rice was just right, great texture and delicious. I couldn’t even notice we ordered a brown rice. The pad Thai was so so. I really felt the egg, for my opinion it should be more vegetables in it. It was plan and not really tasty. But still planing to come back and try the other dishes they have. This place is just the right size! Modern, and very clean. The owners are very friendly. I used the 10% off your order promotion they have on Unilocal.Yep!

We drove all over Brentwood looking for sustenance. We had the Unilocal nearby setting on. We had eaten at every place on the list. I just pulled into the Winco parking lot and found this place. Little place with a Grand Opening banner. It’s an order up front and pay before you eat place. It has a nice compact menu. By the way it’s Thai food. We ordered what was suggested as follows: 1. Apple Yum Salad. It was a crisp salad of green apples, carrots, red onions, cherry tomatoes, red bell peppers, chicken and HUGE shrimp. The dressing was a spicy tangy concoction that was oh so good. 2. Fried Tofu — Little crispy squares of goodness with a sweet/spicy sauce. 3. Stewed Beef Noodle soup — The soup was amazing. I have eaten a lot of Thai food in my life but I have never had anything like this. The meat was shredded roast beef in a rich broth with cilantro, green onion and some crispy bits I could not identify but could have eaten a bucket of. 4. Thai coffee — Iced coffee with a hint of caramel. It was not what I expected either but very tasty. Very impressed by this little gem.
