We ordered well done burgers and a side of salad! It is pricey considering the burger came burnt outside and medium inside! It wasn’t a great burger at all! So giving it a one star!

Based on the very critical reviews I had very low expectations. However I was pleasantly surprised on all accounts, Service was quick, food was hot and good, beer was cold, prices were reasonable and atmosphere was not like a cafeteria as suggested in a previous review. Georgia was our server who was ready for anything and executed everything our big party had with relative ease. I could not ask for anything more and would and will go back when I am in the area again. By the way the fish and korean tacos were awesome.

The Omni Hotel should be concerned their name is associated with this restaurant. We went here for lunch over the New Year’s weekend. I have been here a couple times because its the only restaurant in the area and I think they know that. One person in our party got the pulled pork sandwich and it was awful, the fact that they served it was bewildering to me. The pork was completely dried out to the point it looked like shredded leather. I tasted a piece and it was like chewing leather. I brought this to the attention to the server and she suggested we add more BBQ sauce to it, seriously, this was her response. We over heard someone at the table behind us complaining about the pulled pork as well. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich which was actually the buffalo chicken tender appetizer dumped on a bum with a not so fresh tomato, lettuce and onion on it. Lazy! you cant bother to make and actual buffalo chicken sandwich you have to used the same chicken tenders from the app? The onion rings I got tasted like the they were fried in the same oil the fish and chips are fried in, fishy tasting. Overall other than the pork sandwich our food was edible but below standard. The service is slow and disjointed. We had 3 different waitresses come to our table to take our order at different points. So if you can avoid going here you probably should but there isn’t much else around.

Pulled pork was very good. The hostess was rude though and the dining room looked like a cafeteria. Luckily we squeezed into the bar which was good because bartender was an excellent waitress. Overall it was very good. Would come again for the bbq and chili.

What a disaster dinner here was tonight. Began with the cocktail waitress neglecting to bring us change for the overpriced drinks. .Next we shared a chicken picatta which was cold and served with cold linguini. Service was actually pretty good. entrees came out right on top of appetizers, and from there it went down hill. Onion rings were good, crunchy, thick, sauce served with them not so much, tasted all ranch and no zest. Chicken Caesar salad was ok, not worth the $ 12. Turkey dinner, disappointing all around, I don’t even know where to start«carved turkey» sure, if you call slicing off hunks from a frozen formed turkey log carving. Mixed vegetables were undercooked and flavorless, gravy tasted fresh from the Heinz jar, potatoes had consistency of wallpaper paste. Stuffing wasn’t bad but was the smallest scoop on the planet. Cranberry sauce came from a can, honestly, I could still see the can marks on a giant chunk. TL:DR food sub par, over priced, service was good, would not return

For a lunch place, we found a great atmosphere and both the Ruben and Pulled Pork sadwiches were great! We will visit here again.

Working in the area. One of very few choices around here. Typical tourist place trying to be upscale where they think a higher price equates to a good experience. Unfortunately they forgot to include the service and food part. About 17.00 for a burger fries and coke. I ordered the burger medium well and it came out bleeding. After sending it back the second one came out cooked correctly and actually had a very good flavor. However the lack of service sitting at the bar along with the higher price point was more than enough to negate the flavor of a decent burger that took two attempts to get right. We were there in the off season working and so the place was empty. There were 4 people at the bar and shaking my empty glass as the bar tender walked by certainly did not work for a refill. We were there for about an hour and not once did the bar tender ask if we needed anything after the initial order came out. We were told by several people in the area that if we told the local places we were working there(not tourists) that we would get a discount. We did not. You know if you ever hear that around a touristy area, you are in for a premium charge and usually crappy food and or service. This place is no different. Been around for years and had a good reputation but now evidently living off the name and greed(even in the off season).

We came here after hiking Mount Jackson for beers and appetizers. We felt right at ease wearing our hiking clothes. The best part about this restaurant is the outdoor seating. We had great views of the white mountains while enjoying much deserved drinks. The staff was very friendly. I can’t comment on much of their menu as we only had their onion rings(and beer) but I will definitely go back if I’m in the area.

Well for the only restaurant around here I was expecting more. Not only did I pay premium for my food it was just ok. Example: $ 20 for a half of slab of ribs is a rip off, but hell I gave it a world. I was expecting fall of the bone ribs and what I got in return was some cooked ribs and a bunch of sauce on it. Just because you are the only restaurant in town doesn’t give you the right to charge your customers premium and not get feed back from it. Anyways I give it one thumbs down and recommend that you drive the 30 – 45 minutes away to the next town to get better food for half the price.

Hubby and I stopped here on a hot day last week for lunch. We went in with low expectations as this area is known for uninteresting, overpriced touristy places but we were very pleasantly surprised. The train station building with its simple décor was a welcoming and relaxing décor. We sat in the bar and the bartender /waitress, Deb, was friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel like old friends. The pork appetizer special was delicious! It was similar to buffalo chicken, but with pork instead. The dipping sauce was divine. We both had the chicken salad, which was freshly made and so flavorful with nuts and fruit. The onion rings were awesome and were done perfectly(not dry or overfried), Don’t hesitate to lunch at this great little gem!

We wanted to give this place a chance. We walked up to the hostess station. They did not even look up when they spoke to us. We simply left.(Original 1 Star rating). Later that day… HAAHAA… joke’s on us! We had plans to eat pizza and the pizzeria was closed. There was nothing else open but Fabyan’s Station. They are the only game in town at this time of the evening. We were not seated by the hostess but she pointed to the areas where we can sit. Our server arrived shortly. We ordered the Apple BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich with Cole Slaw and Large Caesar Salad. The salad had bottled dressing, generous croutons from a bag and shredded parmesan from bulk packaging. The lettuce was fresh with crunch. The large size plenty for 2. The cole slaw may have been a few days old. It was not appetizing after taking that first bite. The pork could have been more tender and the bun could have been toasted. However, the flavor was quite good. The apple based bbq sauce added an interesting layer of flavor. It starts with tang then as the bite reaches the back of the tongue sweet apple. It was was like a pork and pie explosion. The sandwich came with cheese but it was not needed. There was much going on already. The stars belong to the pork sandwich!

After a few hours atop Mount Washington, this was a welcome place to stop and refuel. Our waitress was very friendly and the food was good enough to satisfy my picky kids. Well worth the visit!

We all ordered the hot pastrami sandwich with coleslaw or potato salad. We chose to sit inside but they also offer outdoors eating on nice days. Service was very friendly. Coleslaw was delicious and seasoned perfectly. Pastrami was great. What a nice lunch! Will definitely return.

Great family food place. Best chicks finger plate and the Turkey special was good. Above average service and check out the veggie plate appetizer we loved it there.

We came here to grab some food and sit at a bar table. We got in right away, but that was the only quick part of our experience. We ordered burgers and chicken wings. The burgers were actually pretty good and were the best part of our experience. The chicken wings were ok, but not that great. Overall, the food was ok. The worst part was the service. Our waitress was nice and apologized for the slow service from the kitchen. The problem was amplified when we had to wait over 15 real actual minutes for her to remember to come back to grab our credit cards to finalize the bill. I don’t fully blame the waitress, I think she was overwhelmed with all of the tables to serve. I think the restaurant was too light on staff and created the very long waits. Despite this, do consider this was July 4th and the restaurant may have had staff taking the day off.

Decent restaurant near Bretton Woods. If it wasn’t for the location(there aren’t too many other options in this location with out needing to drive a ways), I probably would choose elsewhere for a post-hike meal. It’s not that the food isn’t good, it’s just that it isn’t GREAT. That being said, their fish tacos are decent and they have Tuckerman’s Pale Ale on draft. Their dark and stormy was ok but they don’t have too many brands of liquor to choose from(nothing too impressive). Prices are ok for the portions you get but again, nothing really blows my socks off about Fabyan’s. Atmosphere is alright and service is pretty friendly. They are also one of the few places that didn’t seem to have a wait on a busy Saturday night(everything in Jackson had an hour plus wait). So yeah, I’ll probably be back but mostly because it’s convenient.

Ask for a burger that is medium, get a burger that is so perfectly medium you’ll want to dry your tears of joy with the bun as you eat it. The blue apple burger was just fantastic. Everything was really good.

Our choices are very limited in this area so I wasn’t expecting«great» food, but I was expecting something better than what we got. We both ordered the ribs — which were very overcooked(extremely dry), but they didn’t skimp on the BBQ sauce — I could barely find the meat with all the sauce dumped on it. The baked potato was dry as well — even butter wasn’t fixing it. The cornbread was delicious — and the one moist aspect of the entire meal — which honestly I wasn’t expecting. So if you are into cornbread this is the place for you! I do have to say we asked for Chocolate Martini(which wasn’t on the menu) and they did make them for us. It was the creamy chocolate martini — not the clear one I was expecting — but it was delicious nonetheless. Kudos for the bartender on that one!

On the way to the AMC Highland Center for a stay before hiking the next morning so stopped here for dinner. We dined in the lounge section vs. the dining room and were quite satisfied. Fireplace on one far end, a bar, and tables throughout provide a quaint, cozy environment. I ordered fish tacos and these were great –2 tacos filled with non-fried haddock with cabbage. Food, service, and atmosphere were great and i’d eat here again. I would say the prices were great, too. I believe the tacos were about 12.00. However, a soft drink was 3.00 — definitely a bit excessive there.
