After shopping for flowers on the website we called to enter our order. Shipping was free. During the call there was no mention of fees. When I received the receipt I found a fee of $ 13 for handling. When asked I was told it was because flowers need special care. Really! I cancelled the order.

Terrible Service. Called in the evening to say they couldn’t delivered to the address they said they would, then didn’t deliver it t the second address and then said they would deliver it Monday. Al bouquet that was ordered for Friday. Do yourself a favor and not buy flowers from these people!

Ordered flowers marked same day delivery. Still waiting for them to be delivered. Terrible customer service. Wondering if recipient will ever receive. Do not order from them!

TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE. This place is apparently a third party company that runs out of warehouse in California. They aren’t even a florist. They call around and order from local florists. They lied and said they had what we were looking for. Thankfully they called us back, lied to us again and told my wife(who has worked at a nursery her whole life) that the flowers we were ordering were«out of season» and recommended a substitute(which we obviously didn’t want). They refused to give us a refund for something we bought and didn’t get.

I ordered a dozen pink long stemmed roses in a crystal vase with a pink bow and baby’s breath. Without my knowledge or permission there was a substitution of red and white roses, no bow, no baby’s breath and a in glass vase for the ungodly price of $ 92.00. I am appalled and disgusted! I hope they go out of business and save everyone money and heartache. I gave one star because the app wouldn’t let me give minus stars!

do not use avas flowers they are very deceptive they are not from your local area, they are located in New Jersey I agree with everything everyone said they are very deceptive, even my bank said they are shady, do not use them, they tell you they are going to give a store credit but that was a lie to when they did not deliver when they said they would, buyer beware !

Misrepresentation, hidden fees, truly not a reputable company. Like others, I noticed what I was billed was different than what had been shown on my computer screen. Before you check out, you click on the ‘agree to terms’ button– which actually means ‘I agree to pay a different amount than my total is showing.’ Similar to an ‘as seen on tv’ company with random handling fees. When I questioned the company, basically they said that I had clicked on an agreement to the extra fees. Read the fine print(as in click on the extra links) — there is more there than the typical liability info. Or better yet, run like the plague.

Sent flowers to my mother in the hospital they were a day late to be delivered it was supposed to have a ballon with it. They delivered the wrong arrangement that was half dead. Then they lied and said there was no one in the room when she was there the whole time.

I contacted Ava’s florist to have them send balloons for my son’s birthday. He lives in Asheville so I assumed it wouldn’t be an issue since I was under the impression this company was based out of NC. Apparently they are a call center based out of NJ. I received a call from the NC local florist(they were wonderful!) stating they couldn’t deliver the balloons on his birthday but would be able to deliver them a day early, per the OK from Ava’s. I never gave them the ok to do so. I would have cancelled the order and found another company in the area to deliver them on the correct day. When I called Ava’s florist, I was kept on hold for over 20 minutes. They offered me a credit to use in the future, which I would never use again.

If you google«Brevard florists», Avas Flowers comes up near the top of the results. Clicking on the link brings you to a page that says«Florists in Brevard» and the first paragraphs says they are a «real brick and mortar FTD florist». In fact, they are not a local Brevard florist; the website is made to seem that way without actually stating it explicitly. I did not realize this until after placing my order. This already indicates that something shady is going on. When I went back and read the page closely, they don’t actually say they are located in Brevard. But everything about the page strongly implies they are. It’s no crime to not be local, of course. But 1) Why do they misrepresent themselves? 2) For florists, I would prefer to use local, just, you know, because the flowers will be fresh. I placed my order via phone for a delivery. They collected my billing info, delivery, and what I wanted to say on the card. I ordered roses that were listed for $ 52. By the way, when he was asking me for delivery information, I sensed he didn’t know the area, and some suspicion became to creep in that he wasn’t from Brevard. I asked him if he was, and he said that they were in the greater area handling«overflow». Seemed reasonable at the time, so I continued. When it came time for the final amount to pay, it was $ 77.92. I was surprised at the discrepancy between that and the $ 52, and was told that there were charges for shipping and handling and the card. There was also a charge for Saturday delivery. At this point I should have cancelled the order, and I kick myself for not doing it. However I didn’t quite catch all the financial details, and decided to just go ahead with it. I got to thinking about it more shortly after I placed the order, and it all started to bother me in hindsight: the extra charges, the misrepresentation of being a local florist. So I googled them so more, and found lots of terrible reviews in other cities on Unilocal,as well as warnings. I also got an receipt via email, and it stated, even thought I had requested a Saturday delivery that the scheduled delivery was Monday, but that the«preferred» delivery was Saturday. They did not mention this on the phone! I then called them, 10 minutes after placing the order, to cancel my order. They refused. The invoice wasn’t even that detailed. All I know is the flowers were $ 52 and I ended up with a bill for $ 77.92. When I spoke with the customer service rep, she said I had been charged $ 3.95 for a card. Who charges for a card? It turns out when I was asked what message I wanted delivered with the flowers, they’d picked a special card and not the regular card that usually comes with flowers, even though I had not requested anything special. Plus $ 1.99 for Saturday delivery, even though I realized later when looking at the receipt that Saturday delivery is not guaranteed! And something like $ 19 in «shipping and handling». Now as I write the review, I realize I made several mistakes and feel like a fool. First I should have ordered earlier for Mothers’ Day; the local florist I usually use, Country Creations, was literally out of flowers when I called them Friday afternoon due to the Mothers’ Day rush. Second, when I was given the total amount, I should have stopped. But he was a sort of slick salesman, the connection was a little bad, and I didn’t quite catch the details on all the extra charges, and I had already gone through all the other steps when the extra charges were sprung on me, so I decided to just go with it at that point. Third, I should have researched them more closely before ordering from them. I checked on Unilocal, but they weren’t listed in Brevard. So I assumed they were new or just nobody had reviewed them yet. When I looked around again(try googling«Avas Flowers Unilocal»), I saw all these 1 star reviews for other cities. So now I’m adding a review of them for Brevard, so that nobody ordering flowers for the area gets foooled by them. I suppose everything they did was borderline legal, but it’s all extremely slimy. They pulled a bait and switch on me, and I fell for it.
