Great spot for a HS Reunion. Good Service and Good Food with the Facilities to Accomodate Large Groups. Last Friday marked a milestone for me. Hard to believe it was time for another High School Reunion and let’s suffice to say, I can’t believe it’s been that many years. I live too far away to be part of the reunion committee but they did a great job in orchestrating the reunion and in particular, their selection of a place for us to gather and commemorate our anniversary. Twin Dragons is a typical Chinese Buffet except they have expanded to menu options to include items that might appeal to folks who don’t like Chinese. Good examples would be Pizza and Buffalo Wings and while steamed Mussels are Classic Chinese, Gulf Coast Oysters are not. Bye the way, the Oysters were great. We walked in and because the room we had booked was kind of hidden away, the staff had been alerted to watch for some lost soles trying to find their way. They turned out to be great shepherds The room was rather large, longer than wide but the perfect size for our requirements. Granted it’s a buffet but the staff kept checking in on us to insure that other incidental needs such as beverages were kept served. As for the buffet. One of the largest I have seen with a good selection of items. As I mentioned, not all were traditional Chinese. Granted you run the risk that because this is a buffet with Steam Tables, some items will be overcooked. This was the case with a couple of items but in general, the buffet turned itself enough to insure that most items were at their best. The restaurant and staff did an excellent job in making us feel at home and making for a great and memorial evening.

Words cannot describe my disappointment. Years ago, I ate here almost daily. I made three attempts in three months. None worth describing-kept thinking it was just a fluke— While I can understand the price increasing over time, I cannot understand the disappointing quality of the food. It never ever tasted like it does now!!! Very very sad. It’s largely Americanized garbage food and I would suggest whomever is cooking try eating what they prepare. Are those powdered eggs in the egg foo yung now? So disgusting. The breaded chicken for sweet and sour-so hard my knife would not cut-I could go on but just save yourself the trouble and skip it. $ 8.96 wasted but never again

I would have given 5 stars except for one thing– we went right before 12 on a Saturday and a huge number of items on the buffet were not up to temperature. Room temperature Chinese is not very appealing. Its as if they expect the steam tables to warm the food they previously prepared. The items that were up to temp were generally very good and this place has a huge selection. Could be so much better– just get the hot food hot before presenting it on the buffet.

Really people, you think a 150 item buffet is going to be «authentic» Asian and everything 100% fresh? Com’on now. For what it is, it’s good. It’s kid friendly with«American» options like chicken nuggets and pizza. But they’ve got traditional items too. Everything I ate was hot and quite tasty. We also went an hour after they opened, so that probably didn’t hurt. The sushi seemed fresh, not made 2 days ago and shoved in a fridge. They have a hibachi grill. It’s under $ 10 for weekend lunch buffet. You want«authentic»? Go pay $ 20 a plate somewhere else. I enjoyed this and would come back and eat again P. S. Have one of their donuts, they are amazing!

Disappointing compared to last year. On the plus side good variety, plenty of seating, and fair price. However the food was not as fresh and flavorful as when they first opened. Rather greasy and mushy

This place is a mess. If you want actual Asian food, please visit Sora about five minutes down the road. Twin Dragons has a wide variety of food choices, but the quality of the food is awful. Like any good buffet, there are A LOT of options, but this doesn’t make up for the fact that everything is over-processed and disgusting! I guess it is a good place for the whole family, if you don’t mind eating mystery meat! Try it out if you dare.

If you want actual, good Asian food, avoid this place. Maybe my stomach is more sensitive than most, but this place has given me food poisoning on more than one occasion. Everything is greasy, fried, or slimy. If you absolutely have to go here though, just make sure you avoid the seafood and the sushi.

This is a great chinese buffet. They had everything that I wanted, including some pretty decent sushi, all for a very reasonable price.

It was a decent experience and no complaints. The best thing about this place is the size of choices ranging from Chinese, american, seafood, Japanese sushi, and mountains of desserts. I would say total of 45 dishes and 10 desserts. The quality is 7⁄10 and service is 8⁄10 with clean level of 8⁄10 as well. Great deal if you want variety and inexpensive food.

This is regular stop for me and my Mom. It’s great value for money and nice place to hang for a while. It’s not gourmet for the most part but it fills the belly and would be a great place to feed the family without going bankrupt. Get there before 4pm to get the lunch price!

I didn’t expect anything spectacular from this place. After all, it is a buffet, so you’re guaranteed less-than-fresh food with lots of cheap fillers. However, what killed me was the utter lack of flavor in so many of the dishes. I wasn’t looking for an authentic Chinese experience(I think I’d have to go a bit outside of most of NC for that), however I did expect some half-way decent Americanized Chinese. Everything was incredibly bland and the supposedly spicy dishes weren’t even close. There were one or two dishes that I thought might have been pretty good had they been fresh, but they were the exception. I hate to say that I thought the best thing on the buffet was the completely standard egg drop soup, but it was. My husband likes to get his money’s worth at buffet’s, but at this one we both stopped after two fairly small plates.

I have been opposed to eating at Chinese buffets until I agreed to go to this one with my hubby. It’s excellent! Huge place, lots of different dishes including sushi bar, salad bar, and dessert bar. The service for us has always been fine. It’s always busy when we go. A good choice for dining out in our local area, for quick and easy!

I have a Chinese friend, and when we travel to small town, a buffet is normally the only Asian food avaiable so we eat at a lot of them. For it’s genre, this one was really very good. The service was snappy, the food was fresh and there was a good assortment. One bit of advice about Chinese buffets, don’t go at the end of their service. Go early when the grey hairs(I am one) go. Be there when the food is first presented.

Extra star for the sushi bar! Pretty standard buffet items but LOTS of them. You are sure to find a few items you will like and the variety and quantity really does make up for the quality. The place to go if you are super hungry and in a hurry.

Worst Chinese buffet I’ve ever seen. Fancy building, junky food. There’s lots of deep fried stuff, very few stir fry dishes and those are swimming in overly sweet sauce, all noodles are too stuck together to eat. What’s good? — salad bar, sushi, price.

This place is huge! Twin Dragons is fantastic for a Chinese buffet. There are 4 aisles of food/dessert, a sushi bar, a made-to-order hibachi grill, and a soft serve ice cream machine. The quality of food is decent with the exception of the pizza. Pizza is just not meant for a Chinese buffet! It is ROCK hard! The quality of service and food preparation is a good step above most buffets. The food is replaced often. You don’t feel like you are eating heat lamp food. Overall, it’s pretty darn good!

A friend and I went there on an expedition to discover Chinese foods that I would actually eat. After spending many years of not liking Chinese food, I figured that a Grand Buffet would be the best place to sample many different types of Chinese food. There were five twenty foot buffet bars, a sushi station and a soft serve ice cream(ice milk, I think, to be technical) bar. Two of the bars five buffet bars were devoted to Asian cuisines. One was mixed, containing the obligatory Chinese attempt at pizza and other American foods. The fourth was a salad bar. The fifth was a dessert bar. Overall, this place did what I needed it to do. I now know that I like sesame chicken, Thai barbecue, and chicken fried rice. While these things aren’t authentic Chinese cuisine, they are staples of the Chinese-American take out scene. I would go there again, but I wouldn’t get the crab legs again.

It is what it is. A moderately priced«Chinese» food buffet. Nothing spectacular. They do have one section that offers a sort of hibachi grill where you choose your ingredients and they cook it fresh. All the other buffet items are mediocre as I would expect. It’s fine for when you’re very hungry, but not a fine dining experience by any means.

We’re not a big fan of buffets, but this one is pretty special and well worth trying. The buffet is enormously varied, everything from Spicy Mongolian Pork to Thai chicken, from pizza to baked spaghetti, from chinese vegetables to salad and fresh fruit. There’s every opportunity to indulge, and an equal opportunity to eat plenty of pretty healthy food. There’s even a quite respectable sushi bar. Everyone in the family ought to be able to find something that works, which is why lots of family groups eat here. The evening buffet is about $ 10, a little cheaper during the day. Service is quick and efficient, and there’s even a wine and beer list for those so interested. The atmosphere isn’t much; it’s located in a mammoth building on top of a hill surrounded by parking. But it’s addictive with all its amazing variety. We have been there a dozen times at least, so perhaps that expresses best our experiences there.
