We drove an hour and a half away to go furniture shopping for our new home but the store was closed with a sign saying to call a phone number. This is the middle of the day on a weekday. We call the number and got hung up on multiple times. HORRIBLEBUSINESS! We ended up driving to Country Willow instead to look. Absolutely don’t waste your time. The store looked like everything was boxed up anyways.

I gave them one star only because I couldn’t give zero. I drove two hours to get to the store to see some furniture I liked online. Hours posted on Unilocal and Google said they were open till 6:00 on Sunday. We got there at 4:00, and no one was there, door locked. I called the phone number posted on the door, and someone answered and hung up on me three times. They finally answered on the fourth try. I explained the situation, and they rudely said they close at 3:00 on Sunday, offering no apology. Rude, unprofessional, lousy service. Don’t waste your time.

After a long search for the perfect kitchen counter stools, I bought two from Doug. He was really helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Trust me, I searched for a long time and had interactions with a lot of different stores and vendors. Doug’s Furniture Barn is one of those great small, local businesses– each time I called, I spoke with an actual(friendly!) person, never one of those automated systems. Doug made sure that I got exactly what I wanted and helped me arrange a delivery. My new stools are perfect, great quality, and were a really fantastic price. My grandpa was a carpenter so I have a thing for nice, sturdy wood furniture. These are beautiful, heavy wood pieces, not the kind of particleboard junk most places sell these days. These are gorgeous and built to last, I expect to have them around for a long time. The next time I’m in the market for new furniture, I’ll definitely take a look at the Furniture Barn again and I suggest that you do too!
