I went to Monica after going to a «student» hair stylist. The girl didn’t color my hair as I requested, just gave me «highlights» which left my roots really dark. I’ve been searching for a new stylist since I moved to Danbury from Newtown and I have now found her! Monica fixed my hair and it’s the best it’s looked in quite some time. She is also very sweet and quite reasonably priced. I WILL be back!

I was in need of a haircut because my style was going from zero to Joe Dirt real quick. After searching around for places in the 10 509 area, I saw that Styles By Monica had some great reviews. I gave them a call and they said there was availability for me today, and just out of curiosity, I also asked their prices. They are very reasonably priced, and thus my decision was made. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a quaint salon with a great energy about it. I met Monica, who is a total sweetheart, and off to the coloring chair I went. The coloring didn’t take any longer than it should have and by the time it was done, my hair was looking fabulous. After the color, I got my cut and found out that my previous stylist had made a few parts of my hair too long and short. Monica fixed it up and my hair is looking better than ever. Thank you, Monica! Truly a great salon.

I love styles by Monica, I had my hair done recently and I absolutely love it, I found my perfect hair style there and I got my permanent makeup done there a few months ago and I love it.

THE BEST HAIRCUT I HAVE EVER GOTTEN!!! Monica is warm and friendly and gives you her undivided attention. She listened to my needs and gave me exactly what I was hoping for. I love my haircut and already have an appointment for my next. I recommend this salon to everybody. Top quality and totally talented!

Monica is so sweet, and a great hair stylist. I went in because of a groupon deal, and wanted to go from white blonde to dark blonde. She did EXACTLY what I wanted, and was so professional and nice. Her prices are very reasonable and she clearly has a lot of experience. Amazing!

I generally don’t write reviews but feel I must after reading a recently posted scathing review.
A couple of weeks ago I received a Groupon invitation for Styles by Monica. I had been looking for new stylist in the area. The Groupon was a great value and wanted to get a visual of the salon and meet the stylist. I am not a big Groupon user as a rule. I feel that they can be awkward. However, I did stop by, met the owner, told her I had seen the ad for the Groupon and wanted to use it. Monica asked me what would be a good time and blocked out some time for me on the following Saturday.
I got to my appointment a little early and was greeted by a lovely assistant.
The place was warm and cozy on a cold morning. The young lady offered me some coffee and let me know that Monica was on her way.
My impressions of the salon are all good. The salon was neat and tidy, tastefully decorated, soothing, and comfortable. The assistant kept herself busy dusting and polishing (didn’t have her face buried in an iphone!- how refreshing is that!!!)
Monica gave me her full attention, gave me a great haircut suggestion, and gave me the BEST style I have ever had.
Monica and her assistant were totally professional.
If the point of Groupon is to give a discount and to welcome a new customer, it worked. I’m coming back and telling my friends.

Monica is, in a word, AMAZING! My hair has been horrible for years due to thyroid disease. What Monica accomplished with my dead hair, is nothing short of a miracle. I HIGHLY recommend the steam treatment for hair health. I am thrilled with my new cut and color too! I HIGHLY recommend Monica.
