The bagels are amazing but the 2 women working there might as well be riding broomsticks behind the counter.

Won’t go back anymore. Always liked the food and hated the service. Weekend service I always thought okay it’s just high school kids so it’s whatever, but the other day I went in with a buddy we got two juices and got on line(1 guy ahead of us). The gentleman in front of us ordered his one breakfast sandwhich and we moved up to the counter. Two ladies working we got zero acknowledgement of being there(no hello, hey, hi, hold on a sec we’ll be right with you) no nothing. The two ladies went to the back and didn’t come back for at least 6 minutes. At the six minute mark I decided to leave. I was in the store for roughly ten minutes between walking in, getting a drink waiting on line etc and not a single word exchanged no one took my order no nothing. The place has very good food and horrendous service. If you the owner read this please reach out to me. Seriously. Not for me to complain more, but to assist you in managing that staff. Look at the previous reviews it’s not a coincidence that most people agree the food is good and the service trash.

Had to sign in and write a review after a friend texted me to check this Unilocal out — never have I felt so validated in my life. I have been begrudgingly stopping by Tom Toms for YEARS and I always thought it was just me who found their service comically bad. Clearly I am not alone. Thank god for The Bagel Shop — not only is it closer to my parents’ house but the service is WAY better, food is better, just everything better. And I’m not being paid to write this(you can see I have written tons of other honest Unilocal reviews for years). You will have one of two experiences at Tom Toms — neither of which is good. 1) You will be served by high schoolers who would rather be behind the counter attempting to somehow text on their iPhones while wearing latex gloves and taking orders. Bagels are good and you’ll leave being only mildly annoyed. 2) You’ll have the misfortune of being served by who I can only assume is the manager(?) a woman who will glare at you for the sheer fact that she has to take your order and serve you your bagel sandwich. This woman’s face is etched into my mind because for some reason I continue to go here occasionally, and by whatever twist of fate she still works there… although she so clearly hates it, and hates you by association. My mom came in here once to order a sandwich and the woman informed her they were out of lettuce at 2 in the afternoon. Out of lettuce? When my mom asked why that is, the aforementioned woman snapped back«do you want to run over to A&P and get more?». Seriously.

Give them 5 stars for bagels, i buy a dozen then freeze them immediately, they come out amazing like a fresh bagel every day. The staff never smiles though or seem freindly.

I came in for lunch & although the ambience is great, the lady working there has to be the most miserable person I’ve ever dealt with. Food was great, no issues there. The service really needs to improve. Sadly this will be the last time I go there. Bad service is always a turn off no matter where you go
