We liked the room till we tried to sleep! The mattress was very uncomfortable like it had been 100 years old! It was like sleeping on a rock. For the price to sleep on that horrible mattress is Ridiculous! Replace your mattresses! Neither me or my husband slepted at all. The room was very hot Even with turning on the fan it made it uncomfortable with the windows open and it wasn’t that warm up there. It’s disappointing they got rid of the breakfast especially since there isn’t really anything up there. Its really disappointing because we LOVE Brianhead! The first time we stayed there the mattress wasnt bad! Please do something about the AC.

The place is great. What they do with your phone number after staying there is AWFUL. We have been staying at the Lodge for 6+ years. For some reason, this year, they sold my phone number to someone and my phone is blowing up with 10+ calls a day asking me about my trip to Cedar Breaks and asking me if they can give me a trip to someplace else for ½ price. I have begged to be taken off the list — no luck. Cannot even keep up with blocking all the different numbers. Consider yourself warned when booking.

Our family stayed at Cedar Breaks Logde over spring break for a ski weekend. We enjoyed having a small kitchen. Our room was not very clean(bathtub, floors and toilet were dirty along with some of the dishes). The elevator was broken when we arrived. Our room was in a separate building from the swimming pool and exercise room so we would have to walk in the cold to get to the room. The gym was supposed to open at 5am. I arrived at 6:00 and it was locked and no one was at the front desk to open it. I had to wait for at least 10 minutes until the staff person came to the front desk and could open the gym. We also got no cleaning service for the three days we stayed which was surprising to me. We payed $ 157 a night for a one bedroom villa and will not stay again.

We stayed here two weeks ago for my birthday weekend. We reserved a one bedroom villa but when we arrived were upgraded to a one bedroom grande villa(building 2, room 2209) We were checked in by Arin, who was really helpful in describing the amenities, where to park, etc. There is limited underground parking but we always found a space. The room was a really spacious and beautiful room. We had a fireplace in the living room and bedroom, very romantic. It had a full kitchen with everything you’d need, even a blender! When I read some of the reviews I was hesitant to stay here but IMHO they’re negative people just complaining. The fireplace, which some Unilocalers complained about, while it wasn’t intuitive to use, if you read the explicit instructions — posted directly by the fireplace was easy to use. My guess is people didn’t read the instructions. Everything was clean — there wasn’t daily room service, which is fine by me, and it was stated on the website, a lot of people complained about that too. The pool was nice and there’s two large hot tubs, which we had to walk to in the cold, wahhhh, just kidding. People complained they had to WALK to the pool and hot tub, pretty funny. I guess people stay at hotels where the pool is in their room? Bar/restaurant is fair, certainly convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

We went skiing on our first date and honeymooned in Whistler, BC, so an easy 3 hour drive on 15N to Brianhead was a great way to celebrate our anniversary. When we arrived at the lodge, Naomi welcomed us with a huge smile and quickly checked us in while pointing out dinner options on a map. We got to the resort later than we planned, so I was a little disappointed that building 1 was fully booked… until we got to our room! We were upgraded to a One– bedroom Grand King Villa which has a kitchen and a living room with a fireplace and a second in the bedroom. It was a nice surprise and we skipped the hot tub to enjoy a few local microbrews by the fire.

All I can say is this will be my first and last time staying here. This was a time share experience so I didn’t expect too much. However I do expect the place to be clean, but nope. The microwave was dirty and gross. The toilet seat was dirty. The Tub was dirty… if a hotel/lodge is going to be out dated which this place is it could at least be clean. The hallway to get to the room smells like piss, I was relieved when I walked into our room and it smelled okay. Plus side is the staff is friendly.

We have been going to ski lodges and condos since 1991 with our timeshare. Never have we had such poor service. All we ever got was apologies and maybe someone else could help you. The food was awful(how can you ruin breakfast) and of course expensive, which we expected. The room itself is very dated. The fireplace never worked even after the 2 hr wait for someone to come fix it. It went out within an hr again. The jacuzzi was old yellow tiles and the jets only made noise. Much of this poor service came during the week when guest list was down so that was no excuse. We left 2 days early losing money, but was worth it just to get out of there

The atmosphere is nice, although a bit too overly warm temperature wise. I get that it’s a lodge on a snowy mountain but, dang! I’m usually always cold & this place is uncomfortably hot to sit in for too long. Which I guess is not worry because the offered amenities(coffee shop & gift store/convenience store) have never, not once been open in the times we’ve come in here in years! The hot hot apple pie beverage in the café/bar/steakhouse is the sole reason for the 3 stars! It’s worth returning for if nothing else is. There is also a great looking indoor pool!

Found a great deal on travelzoo. Arrived here for skiing and was greeted by friendly staff during check in. Hassle free check in and lady who checked us in explained all the amenities. Their hot tub, sauna, game room, and pool area is what made this trip. The hotel rooms were also awesome. We had the one bedroom suite that included living area and kitchen. Kitchen came with everything you needed to make anything… A++. Most these bad reviews might have come on one bad experience but nothing they wouldn’t fix. Def stay here if you find a good deal on price…

Stayed here 1 night in their Junior Suite. Upon check-in, they were unable to locate our reservation that we had made online. We presented our confirmation and the supervisor quickly created a new reservation and got us checked in. We were placed in a neighboring building, just a short walk away outside. Our room can be best described as basic, nothing fancy, but everything you’d need or expect in a hotel room. The bed was comfortable; however, the pillows were not. Our room also had a jetted-tub which some people love… I just don’t trust the cleanliness of those things! The hotel also offers rooms with kitchenettes, which can be an added bonus for those opting to cook, especially when staying for an extended period. What’s not so great are the food smells that fill the hallways. Our floor smelled like a dirty Chinatown restaurant — Can you say gross!!! Another con was how noisy it was! You could hear other’s conversations coming from the hallways and through the walls. When someone took a shower or flushed the toilet, you could hear it. Unfortunately, the noise paired with strong food odor made for a pretty restless night! Beyond the negatives, the convenience to the Navajo Lodge and the Brian Head Lodge can’t be beat. There is also a complimentary shuttle that will take you to various stops within Brian Head Resort. I’m still undecided if I’ll return. Hmmmm.

Me and my family stayed here for two nights. It is in walking distance to the Navajo area of Brianhead ski and snow resort. We were in a two bedroom suite with a full kitchen. It was fully stocked with dishes utensils blender toaster and pots. There are three buildings each with their own underground parking garage area. We were in building one and that has the swimming pool, sauna, and hot tub. There’s also a game room with a pool table, ping pong table, and fuss ball. They also have a gym a café that serves breakfast and pastries and a restaurant for dinner. The restaurant was at least $ 10 or more for a meal. There’s also a country store that is across the lodge in walking distance that has everything a gas station has plus a few grocery items. Definitely will be back again for another vacation.

We stayed here during Thanksgiving week and were quite happy. The rooms are cozy with a small kitchenette. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were not, luckily I brought my own. The lodge has a full day spa, an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. It also has a small workout room and game room that my step sons and I enjoyed after a swim in the pool. We enjoyed the convenience of everything being right there after a long morning of outdoor recreation. Brian Head mountain was open for skiing and snowboarding as well as tubing. We had a lot of fun in the snow. We all enjoyed the fact that it wasn’t over crowed this time of year! A big plus. We had no problem finding a place to sit in the lodge to eat after being out in the snow. If my group agrees, I would like to stay here next Thanksgiving!

Stayed for 3 nights, as a home base for a few National Parks. the staff was super nice during the stay. The room was really nice, clean with everything to make for a comfortable stay. The negatives were: the hotel shop was closed due to an «incident» what ever that means, could have used this to buy a few items and the restaurant which was tasty but a bit overpriced. Again all the staff were great. Nice to see that kind of service, even off season

Overall we liked this place and our experience was pleasurable and we would consider coming back. We booked our room online(reduced pricing) so it was a little more budget friendly and convenient this way. There is a $ 10 resort fee per day that is not included in the price, but they do advise you of this when you book online. Pros: The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, fireplace and nice sized TV, fridge and microwave in the room, the staff was nice and accomadating, free laundry facility and laundry soap, fitness center, restaurant and bar, café, spa facility, nice pool and saunas, pool table, steam rooms, garage parking, great views and hiking trails. Cons: no maid service(we only stayed 3 nights), restaurants and businesses looked closed(we arrived during off season), no tub shower only, no complimentary breakfast or of the like, and dry steam room wasn’t working.

This review is for The Restaurant. A little shabby, and a little dated, The Restaurant was kind of dead in the morning, except for some bizarre Travel Channel show that was playing on the mounted televisions. Breakfast for me began with a light meal called the Healthy Spa. There are two options to choose from: Oatmeal with fruit, and granola with yogurt and fruit. I chose the latter. Sweet, crunchy, and filling, but overpriced($ 9) for something standard and that I could’ve gotten elsewhere, dare I say, McDonalds. Oh, and FYI: looking to start your morning off right with some mimosas? You’ll have to wait until 11:30 am, thanks to Utah law. The restaurant seems understaffed, but maybe that’s because hardly anyone comes here during the mornings. The food we ordered took quite a while to arrive; however, our waitress was attentive to our table.

Pretty disappointed in my recent stay at Cedar Breaks Lodge. We booked a room on a hotel deal site and for the rate we paid, I think it was alright(not great, or even good, but decent), but if I would have paid a full price, rate, I’d be pretty upset with the quality of hotel for my dollar. We checked in around 8 pm and our stay was quick, just one night, but I’m glad because I wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer. Pros: — Large room — Clean room — Comfortable beds — Nice scenery, nestled up in the mountains Cons: — Unfriendly front desk staff — No elevator to guest rooms — Resort Fee(I hate when hotels charge this — just build it unto your fare! — but especially considering I’d hardly call this a resort(see above re: no elevator) — Sheet set for pull out sofa was missing top sheet — Room door didn’t lock completely — TVs were tiny and super far away from the beds

The good: This is a decent place to stay for the price. The rooms are nice and comfortable, nice pool and spa and overall clean and new. The bad: Tried to call and ask to check in early about 2:00, front desk said no problem and got there at 2:00 and were told room was not ready. Came back at 3:00 and still told room not ready. Did not get to check in until after 4:00. Frustrating and staff non-apologetic. No housekeeping included and no advice of this up front. Had to make our own beds and reuse towels for 3 days. Don’t need sheets changed everyday but don’t enjoy making beds while on vacation each morning and fresh towels is customary anywhere I’ve ever stayed in my lifetime. The really bad: Parked vehicle in underground garage in building 1 each evening as instructed and after leaving to come home stopped at gas station in Parowan and noticed white house paint on my brand new SUV! I recalled that the day before leaving the maintenance workers were painting pipes with white paint and obviously dripped paint on my vehicle! Are you kidding?! I still cannot believe this happened. There is no excuse whatsoever to get paint that close to a customers vehicle. Ridiculous. Overall: Although nice room, 1 star and lucky to get that. If there were a zero rating that’s what they really deserve for dripping paint on my brand new vehicle.

Me and my boyfriend booked this room last Minute to go snowboarding before the season ended. We were satisfied with our stay. It was very quiet and the room was super nice! We checked in a couple Hours early and they were able to accommodate us so we were super Happy about that. We also asked for A room with a good view and they were able to do that as well. We will definitely come Back next year

Don’t come for quiet because you might not get it. The walls are bathroom tissue thin and sound screams through when your are trying to get rest. By luck of the draw, our room was directly above a wedding reception. That is of no ones fault at all, it’s just bad luck. But the noise was hardly muffled which made falling asleep incredibly difficult. It didn’t help that there was no filter on the DJ and that profanity in the lyrics were blasted through our windows. Our kids were with us and we’d like NOT for loud F bombs and«Britney Bitch» be forced into our room. Very special thanks(sarcasm) to the front counter help who assured me that there were exact times the music would be turned down but each hour of promise never came to fruition. I politely inquired when the party might be ending. I was told by the gentleman at the front desk it would be 9pm. I accepted and waited for the hour to come. Waiting til 9:30 I asked again at which point I was assured that the music would end or at least be considerably lowered by 10. That didn’t happen either which point I irately asked to be moved. No rooms were available for us to be moved to and were we to leave, no refunds could be awarded. The only thing offered were incredibly empty«hey I apologize about that sir.» How you treat for patrons entirely counts for how you establishment is received. Because of the two front desk people and the impossibly thins walls to noise, no… I can’t recommend this lodge.

The boyfriend booked this place last minute for a spontaneous snowboarding trip. It’s a nice place to stay, clean rooms, and the concierge was extremely polite and helpful. Facility staff was just as nice and helpful — they helped me and my boyfriend drive out of their property because of the snow that was coming down. Yes, my boyfriend doesn’t have the ideal car to drive in the snow, and again… This trip was spontaneous, so somewhat poorly planned. Anyway, the Lodge is getting 4 stars because of these staff members and being a nice, clean place to stay. As for the spa, I was sorely disappointed. They were closed before the marketed closing time, and they were not answering their phones to make appointments the following morning either.
