ABH Car Wash and Detail

They always do a great job. The owners are meticulous about quality and service. Note: if you can, arrive early on weekends.

In short: maybe they treat people who buy Amazon Local deals differently, but the manager turned me away because they don’t clean cars that aren’t already clean.
I bought an Amazon Local deal for a «Pearl Interior and Exterior Detail Package», which was supposed to include the following;
— Valid for a car, truck, SUV, station wagon, large SUV, minivan, or van
— Includes a full-​service hand wash and towel dry, clay bar paint, and polishing with orbital machine
— Front doors dressed, console and dash cleaned, and mats shampooed
The manager was very nice over the phone, we made an appointment in a couple of weeks, and he was very accommodating when I later had to reschedule a few days before the initial appointment. We had talked about a stain on the back seat of my sedan, and he straightforwardly told me that would likely not be covered by the deal and, for that, I would have to do a full detailing, which would cost somewhere around $ 185. I declined and said I’d use the deal on my minivan instead, which has leather seats and did not have any staining on the seats. He said that was fine.
The morning of my appointment, I drove the car over, and the manager came out to look at the car. He opened the doors, looked at the inside for maybe five seconds, and told me the deal wasn’t valid because my car was «extremely soiled». I was confused, but, in retrospect, he clearly used that language because of this clause in the Amazon Local deal:
— Additional fees may apply for vehicles in poor condition and extremely soiled vehicles
Now. I understand that it’s a subjective term, but the car was not by any reasonable standard «in poor condition» or «extremely soiled», inside or outside. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t clean — there was some dirt/​stains on the carpet, some gravel and debris on the floor, and minor spots here and there and grit in the crevices of the leather seats, all from the kids getting in and out of the van over the past year — but that was the whole point of bringing the car in to be cleaned. I had cleared out everything from the van’s interior beforehand, so there was absolutely nothing in it besides the papers in the glove compartment. I wouldn’t have thought it would be a big deal for them to simply vacuum the floor do a quick wipedown of some surfaces. Despite that, he insisted that I would need to pay at least an extra $ 50 for a full detailing.
I told him I was fine with him just doing only what was specified in the voucher — vacuum, shampoo the mats, clean the console and dash, etc., and that it didn’t need to be fully cleaned. But he repeatedly refused to do even that, saying that he didn’t want to be taken advantage of, implying that my bringing in a car that needed cleaning for a detailing was taking advantage of him. Why in the world would I want to bring in my car for a detailing if it were clean already? In the end, he refused to honor the deal and said I should get a refund, which Amazon Local thankfully provided with no hassle.
I can only assume that the manager was regretting putting out the Amazon Local deal, and maybe you’ll get different treatment if you’re willing to pay full price. But, if you did buy the deal, I recommend you get a refund unless you have an already clean car that you can bring in or you’re willing to pay an extra charge because your car is «extremely soiled».
EDIT: I posted the pictures I took of my vehicle immediately after getting back from ABH so you can judge for yourself. You can see the interior stains and dirt I described. If you agree with the company rep below that my car is «extremely heavily soiled», then you should disregard me and my review as the ravings of a disgruntled crank.
Also, the below-​mentioned «total disrespect» my wife showed was simply sheer disbelief *after* we had been told they would not clean our car because it was «extremely soiled».

I brought my 4 year old Outback in for detailing. It came back looking almost new. The staff is really friendly and clearly take pride in their work. I will definitely be going back there!

First time here with my new 2015 Corvette. Great job for sure. Staff is courteous and the owners are terrific people! They have many car wash and detailing options. I arrived early upon their opening today (Sunday) to beat the rush… I’ll be back for certain.

A GREAT Hand Car Wash facility. Customer service and quality of their work come highly recommend. I’ve been a customer since day one and have always had a good experience. Also, while waiting for a wash there is a heated waiting room with basic cable tv. A great facility that won’t have you disappointed.
