Briarcliff Manor Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care

My mother did her rehabilitation here. We loved it. We thought the physical and occupational therapists did wonderful work. The rehab gym had plenty of space. We were on the renovated wing and it was beautiful. The nurses gave my mom plenty of attention. The food was good. We will go back if she needs too.

I’d give this place zero stars if possible.
Where to start… Let me just say DO NOT COME TO THIS FACILITY.
Upon arrival the center smells like mildew in the entrance. The building is dirty, and as you proceed down the hall it smells like urine and feces. My mother was due for her pain medication from a total knee replacement and did not receive it until over an hour later. In addition it took three reminders with numerous people over an hour to help my mother out with a bed pan so she could pee!
The food that came was cold and disgusting. This is the least of issues.
My mother was being treated in the hospital for the knee replacement as well as her diabetes, blood pressure, oxygen in her blood etc
The nurses at this facility were not aware of ANY OF THIS. They did not know they had to continuously check vitals etc.
In addition they did not have a walker for my mother to use or the proper equipment to give her therapy for a knee replacement.
Absolutely disgusted. I insisted they get an ambulance and take her right back where she came from.
This place should be shut down.
