I’m not a fan of the really nutty /spicy coffees and have hardly been finishing my Starbucks coffees lately… but I drank this blend up in minutes. I went from coffee addict to actually starting to just be over coffee… until I stopped in last week. I’m not a fan of the nutty /spicy blends like at Starbucks and what most coffee houses have adopted… this however was a great blend. I’ll definitely be a regular. Also tried a brownie that was amazing and service was pretty good. When I went, it was empty but people started to roll in after an hour.

This is my go-to coffee spot for a a quick drive-by coffee, meeting with a friend, or doing work. The ambience is cozy with a lovely outdoor porch. Their coffee is amazing, hot, and no artificial tastes! My absolute favorite is their iced Hawaiian coconut. If I treat myself, I LOVE getting a chocolate chip or blueberry scone… so yummy. Last but not least, the staff — they are wonderful, so welcoming and accommodating(even to neighborhood pups! They put a water bowl on the porch). A well deserved 5 stars to the Moonbean!

Always a pleasure to go. Best coffee in the area. No one on the block has coffee like Moonbeam so if your on pleasantville road stop in.

Cozy indoors and out. Couches and front porch get it done. Reasonable lunch options especially the salads… Feels like your out of town for lunch at an out of the way coffee house on New England isle like Martha’s or Block.

One of my favorite coffee places ever. Abby and her staff are always welcoming and cheerful and they have the best coffee, hot or iced — particularly the Hawaiian coconut! Great place to sit and work quietly or for a rendezvous. Love her lemon bars and blueberry muffins. I love sitting on the porch when the weather permits and the best thing is that doggies are welcome!

By far the worst vanilla latte I’ve ever had. I walked in around 3 pm and asked for an iced soy vanilla latte, as soon as I received it, it had literally like 5 ice chips, I asked for my ice them took a sip and it tasted like pure water to me! I asked for more vanilla and she added more and it just through the entire drink off. It was awful. The soy milk was not even creamy, the vanilla had no flavor, it just tasted like dirty water to me. I went back inside and asked for my money back and the lady told me she couldn’t do that, and said she can only remake me another drink so I asked for a hot latte instead, and I wish it tasted better then my first drink and it didn’t. The espresso they have on hand is not strong enough it all taste like water to Me. What a waste of $ 6.00 for a nasty latte. Totally not worth it! Don’t waste your time coming here! I don’t understand why it has so many great reviews, it’s gross!

This place has the best coffee and pastries! The sandwiches are great too. One must try the Chocolate Ganache – simply amazing(hardly describes it). One can sit here for hours and hang out. One of my favorite places to hang out and enjoy. I wish they were open at night. Some of the furnitures need a little patching. Despite that, I still highly recommend this place.

I am really kicking myself for not walking into this place sooner. First off, it’s very very very clean. I love when food stores are clean. Second, it’s so cozy. There are seats that you legit sink into. It reminds me of a magical living room. My mom and me ordered an almond latte and a pumpkin spice latte. We also ordered an almond croissant(((((what!!!))) that croissant was perfection! Our lattes tasted perfect and were served in oversized mugs. This place is literally girl heaven. I looked over the menu and saw wraps, yogurt and salads available as well. Plus the pastry section is really cool too I saw pumpkin bourbon cheesecake bars yum! I don’t know how anyone would go to Starbucks once walking in here. I can’t see myself going back to that other place. It’s easy to support your local business when they are just simply the better choice.

I’ve been living in Ossining for over 2 years and for some reason hadn’t explored this adorable coffee shop until just recently. At the suggestion of a fellow Unilocaler(the awesome Antonella P), we met here on a Sunday morning in April. The shop is a cute little one room house with a front porch and ample parking on the main street in Briarcliff. They have an extensive menu featuring lunch items, breakfast items, and pastries. I can’t vouch for their food as I haven’t yet sampled any(and I did read in another review that they always seem to be out of everything listed on their menu) but I can vouch for their coffee! Each day, they offer a number of flavors. I’ve seen: Hawaiian Coconut(love!), Chocolate Hazelnut, Toasted Almond, French Vanilla and Hazelnut. I’m a «drink it black» type of consumer and it’s fun to mix it up with a little flavored coffee now and then. They have punch cards; every ten punches equals a free medium coffee. This a great place to sit, read a book, have a conversation, etc. My only gripe; they don’t open until 7am on weekdays. Edited to add! They have a bathroom for customers!

Good solid local coffee house that doesn’t suffer from McFranchisitis. I have been there a number of times– fast service, not crowded, good coffee at relatively reasonable prices and the confections were good– try the lemon bar if you want a nice gnosh. One teensy quirk– the coffee is actually quite hot. I mean, just short of boiling. This was more than once. But outside of that it is a cool downtown joint– nice décor, good prices and no beef with the flavor or quality of the product.

What are the things you look for in a coffee/tea house? Comfy seats. Variety of coffees. Fresh treats to complement your drink of choice, made local. Free wifi. Friendly staff. Soothing/contemplative décor. Moonbean(alternate spelling is correct!) has all this and more. They serve a limited menu of panini and soup as well. The décor makes me think of old money gone broke… cracked leather seating, tapestry, local artists on the wall, lovely chandeliers and rich burgundy walls with wood wainscoting. The coffee so far is good. I started with the house blend and cappucino. Not something that makes my eyes roll back, but still good. For me I balance the quality of coffee with prices and atmosphere. This cute café in an old house does well on all points. Note: the baked goods are very fresh and yummy… but the prices will keep you coming back– 1.60 for a huge scone! See you here over chai~
