Aye it’s authentic British fish n’ chips with all the fixings, folks and its in Brick, New Jersey! Stopped in Cameron’s butchers to pick up dinner for Burns Night tonight and was happy to see that The Celtic Knot just started doing business here. It was only an hour till lunch so ordered a couple of fish n chips to go. Let me start by saying I’ve lived in England and Scotland and have had the privilege of eating some of the best fish n chips in Britain so with that being said, I think I may have heard bagpipes as I bit into the fish. The batter was thick, crunchy, and golden brown. The fish was perfectly cooked, flakey and full of flavor. Looking forward to going back soon and very happy that Lent is right around the corner cause I know where I’ll be getting my Friday fish suppers! What are you waiting for? Get yersel over, you’ll think you just ate at one of Britain’s best chippies.
