I was in town for a concert and gave this place a try. The owner was friendly and attentive. Brought out a few things for us to try for free. I had a veggie panini with a side of beans. I didn’t expect much, but it was very flavorful and well done.

Being semi vegeterian Indian it’s very hard to find a good restaurant. I Had veg panini sub with bean salad it was really awesome. I would like to go often.

We love the vibe with personable owners Cassandra and Massimo. We had delicious thin crusted and hearty pizza. The back of the restaurant opens to a lovely atrium, available for events and parties. This was a serendipitous find and we will be back

I don’t understand why there are negative reviews on the site. I’ve had nothing but wonderful experiences at this restaurant. Food is always teriffic. Love the mussels steamed in white wine and butter with bread for dunking. The puttenesca is always perfect. Try the pasta with broccoli rabe, oil, and garlic. Can’t go wrong with this place. Some people even looked down on Bridgeport(from Westport, go figure), but it is a good restaurant and a welcome establishment to the area.

Not a fan tried eating here twice and once because I went to an event at the atrium behind the restaurant, every time I go the food is awful… I really tried but I will NOT be going back and recommend not to bother. Not only is the food bad but the servers and even the owner is not friendly or helpful. Also they need to clean up! Not a fan, if they wanna go against Barnum House and Tiagos they need to improve FAST…

Poor quality food and very bland. Came in hopeful, left with a stomach ache. Service was good and the venue looked promising.

At 6 pm on a Saturday night, we were the only patrons in the place. We were 6 people, and they set up a table for us in the atrium. The problems started with taking the orders… the young and earnest waiter had no clue what he was doing! He neglected to take one of the orders, and seemed very confused during the process. He brought glasses of water two at a time. He brought two glasses of wine, one in a filthy glass. The food came out in fits and starts. He had to be reminded to take all the dirty dishes off the table, and took the water glasses off while we were still sitting there, planning on coffee and dessert. He again neglected the SAME person when taking coffee orders. On a positive note, the food was good although VERY salty. The coffee was awful. This is our second trip here. The first trip also had problems. I won’t be back.

We went to Amici Miei last night with a gift certificate and were greeted warmly by the owner at the door. Shortly after being seated we got warm bread and a complimentary arancini di riso, which don’t even seem to be on the menu, although I would order them if they were. They were wonderful little crispy rice and cheese balls. We started with the rucola salad — arugula, pear, walnut and gorgonzola with a nice light dressing. Very fresh. Even though it’s the middle of winter, the tomatoes were flavorful, too. The owner was very friendly and helpful, so I asked him what his favorite dish was. It turned out to be home-made gnocchi in meat sauce, so I ordered that and was really glad I did. The sauce was perfectly flavored and the gnocchi had the perfect pillow-like texture that only comes from being made fresh. The only small quibble I would have over the dish is that it was generously dusted with dried parsley. I think if parsley is going to be prominent in a dish, it should be fresh, but overall, I would order it again. My husband ordered the Salmone Augusto. They were out of salmon, so they offered to make the dish with tilapia and it was delicious, too — perfectly cooked with a lightly spicy sauce. Amici Miei doesn’t exactly have a romantic date-night vibe, due to the TV playing ESPN talk shows, but it’s a warm, inviting place with a varied wine list. Definitely worth a try.

Went for lunch while in town for jury duty. Had a really fresh and flavorful Greek salad with herb roasted chicken. Was quite pleased until I got up to leave and saw a cockroach on the wall. Probably common in the downtown area and don’t want to knock the place too badly because everything looked clean and the staff were very nice. But yeah, gotta stay up on the bug spraying. Otherwise I would definitely recommend over any of the other offerings I saw in area.

Great place for a quick slice or a more filling Classic Italian dinner. A welcome oasis in downtown Bridgeport.

Since moving to Bridgeport about a month ago, I’ve visited this restaurant a few times. Every time is a good as the last. First off, the owners go out of their way to talk to you and make sure you’re having a good experience. I love their paninis, and their pasta is to die for! When you eat in, they provide you with bread and wonderful arrancini. The only item I’ve had that I wasn’t too impressed with was the pizza but, to be fair, I’m originally from New Jersey and was expecting Jersey pizza, so I’d give it another chance. Overall, I’ve always been very happy whenever I’ve eaten here or gotten take out.

One of only a few palatable options in an increasingly depressed city. Parking is dicey and a total nightmare as the traffic police are making $ 10,000 a week(no kidding) to try and bolster the economic trouble the city is in. It’s a shame as you can see that this is a cute daily lunch spot for those that are local, it offers a nice open atrium dining area with art displayed on the exposed brick walls, and tasteful homestyle Italian food. Even the Cuban is worthy and the salads well done.

Love Amici Miei… only complaint is that some dishes are a little salty for me, but I never use salt at home so I’m quite sensitive to it.

Good service every time I’ve been there, even when getting take-out at lunchtime. I’ve sampled and enjoyed the pizzas, panini, and pasta. Love the salmon salad with goat cheese and capers in summer. Glad to see them bringing some life to that bottom level of the City Trust building.
