The selection here is good, and their hours are more extensive than nearby places. Service is great.
I probably wouldn’t have bothered reviewing this place, but I wanted to neutralize a recent unfavorable review that sounded like it was written based on unexamined or obscured pre-​conceived opinions that have nothing to do with liquor store customer service.

I’ve been to this store at least 40 times, spent upwards of $ 2000.This is NOT due to their quality and CERTAINLY NOT for their customer service. Sadly this is the only Liquor store close by. Each time i want a drink I, (a «valued customer”/tax-paying citizen) am subjected to no less than prejudicial attitudes and behaviors. I’ve personally witnessed, on more than one occasion, terribly RUDE service to not only me but seemingly everyone who is not black. As someone who has worked in the profession field of customer service for 20 years, I’d like to consider myself as a fair judge of character. In closing, to put it frankly:
Black cashiers are only sweet and nice to customers of the same race. When I asked the cashier for assistance s (he) rolled s (he)‘s eyes as if I, THE CUSTOMER!!! was interrupting their BREAK. IN PLAIN WORDS: Every time I’ve been there I’ve never been greeted, nor thanked for shopping at their store. Cashiers lack professionalism. Be thankful that you have a job!!!

I think I met the owner, nice guy. Clean store, nice layout, good pricing. They got Two Roads brewing!

I have been shopping at BevMax for as long as I have lived in Bridgeport. Their wine and liquor selection is the best– hands down– and I have yet to find another liquor store with better prices. BevMax has never disappointed me, and I can always find what I need (even if they’ve moved it around.)
The staff is always friendly and helpful, even entertaining. I’ve often called ahead to see how much of something they had on hand (if I was going to/​throwing a big party) and they are always happy to set a quantity aside for me until I get there. If it’s a large order, like a case of wine, one of the guys always helps me carry it out to the car. (It’s not that long of a walk, and I’m a strong lady…) Now that’s service!
There’s on site parking, which is a HUGE bonus, especially in that area. Sometimes the clientele is a little bit sketchy, but that’s part of why I go there. Entertainment! ;)
