Master Auto Repair

Went to check out the guy today. Seeing how there are no extensive ratings, thought i’d write one. When I first went in and asked how much for labor, I was quoted 65 an hour. That is ridiculous for a independently run shop. Taking a look around the shop and seeing who was doing the work, I stroke up a conversation with the mechanics and he had non-​technicians working on his cars, yet he was charging premium prices even for routine work.
I asked for a diagnostic on my engine from him directly. The guy owns the shop popped the hood and immediately jumped to a head gasket due to oil leak. He was right about the oil leak; however, I know he was full of BS because this wouldn’t have caused the problem. Also, to immediately jump to a head gasket problem without even running OBD codes or doing any other diagnostic work tells me he is very shady, and most likely simply looking to simply make a buck. I’d avoid this shop if possible.

you wanna get your car fixed right and not spend a fortune? talk to bun lao. he’s got a thick vietnamese accent kinda hard to understand but he knows his stuff. if you got an old klunker, he’ll tell you whats wrong and whether its worth fixing or not. really the best value you can find anywhere. i have a buddy that takes his car all the way from nyc just to have bun lao fix it up.
