I recently used the pet boarding service at the Bridgeport location out of necessity. Our Border Collie mix had to have a place to stay from Friday at 9am until Monday at 1030 am. The facilities are much like an animal shelter. It was hard leaving our pet in a concrete cage with a doggie door to another concrete cage under a shed style roof so it could be referred to as an outside run. They do have an outside area for pets that is grass and fenced in, I have never seen any pets there nor do I think that they get to use it. The owner said she walked«her» but«she» wouldn’t go to the bathroom for her. #1-Our pet is a male dog. #2– We were charged for 4 days. Ok. So Friday until Saturday is one day. Saturday until Sunday is two days. Sunday until Monday is three days. So, now we were an hour and a half over that and expected to pay some overage fee. We were told when we picked him up, that the day ends at midnight. So Friday anytime before midnight was considered one day and Monday was considered another day. THISISNOTWRITTENANYWHERENORDISCUSSEDWITHYOUUNTILYOUPICKTHEMUP! You cannot pick your pet up after 6 pm but in their minds the day starts over at midnight? That is ridiculous! Oh yeah, you can only pickup your pet from 8 – 10 am or 4 – 6 pm. THISISNOTWRITTENANYWHERE! Our pet was so scared and so traumatized by this experience that as soon as he was in our custody, he urinated on the carpet in the lobby. I do not believe he was ever walked. He immediately tried to defecate after walking out of the front door. He did this several times in the next hour. Never take your pet to this place unless your pet is used to being on concrete in a cage and having little or no interaction with a humans. But if you already have the setup like that, you might be better off leaving him or her at home and have a friend feed them. At least you would save the hassle and you could be assured of their safety and care.
