The best Al Pastor on the east coast. This is a small taqueria, it’s basic, but it’s very good at what it does.

I can’t believe a place like this exists. I got a pollo a la plancha, which came with burnt chicken on one side and raw on the other, rancid rice, limp lettuce, and beans. The only edible part of my meal was the beans. I asked for ketchup with my side of fries, and the waitress gave me a completely empty bottle. When I asked for more, she said that they were all out(mind you, this place is almost always empty). I asked to go to the bathroom and was directed to the back, where I could see how filthy this place’s kitchen is. I paid the(really expensive) tab and left, but not before they tried to rip me off into buying the flan. Avoid this place.

Can’t get any more genuine than this place. I’ve never had a bad meal there. Décor is «basic»…it’s a storefront. Really tasty food. You can’t go wrong, at least in my experience.

Been here numerous times and have never been disappointed. This is as authentic Mexican as you can get. Everything is fresh and made to order. They have chicken, pork, beef, ect. If you are a true foodie you need to order these staples: tacos de lengua, tacos de cabeza, y tacos de bucche(tongue, head, tripe). I’m getting hungry writing this review.

Part of my «2012 find food like Casa Vega, Sherman Oaks, in Bridgeport, CT, tour…» Fine food overall and I might return if starving in the area. Chips were fresh and you get 3 different salsas. None were stand outs for me. It’s very, very casual with paper plates and sticky tables. The latter so doesn’t bother me. It’s like your traveling abroad. The girls working there are lovely but it helps to know Espanol. Even so, a blonde chick in these establishments is always an anomaly… they wonder why you are there. Everything is freshly made and they also offer a very nice selection of locally made Mexican ice cream. Perhaps go solely for the ice cream.

Feels very authentic. Very clean. Can be slightly slow when busy for such basic food. I like it a lot but my daughter thought some of the stuff(eg sausage tacos) were too… authentic. Order beef or chicken tacos if you don’t want to be surprised.
