I have been involved with sailing for about 40 years so I have been in my fair share of equipment shops. My experience today at the Boat Locker in Bridgeport was an absolute delight.
The owner took his time and answered what must have seemed like a thousand questions from me. He was knowledgable and VERY helpful. He also gave me a tour of his new location and I was impressed by the facilities and selection. If you need ANYTHING to get racing on a small boat… This is the place to go.
Sailing equipment is often expensive. It is what it is. I found the prices here to be quite reasonable and I even found a few bargains.
While I can’t proclaim to know much about kayaks or stand up paddle boards, it sure seemed like the Boat Locker had a great selection of those as well.
I will return any time I need a part, a new boat or some gear.

I went in to the store to buy a jacket for sailing. I had planned to buy a Gill jacket and the store owner sold me a jacket for $ 50 more than the one I had researched online by telling me it was a better material. Turns out, it was the same jacket. All the products in this store are priced well over MSRP and the owner is a creep and a jerk. I will never shop here again
