I had them and a couple other company’s come and give estimates for the floors. I had them refinish my living room, two bedrooms, and a hallway. The workers were very pleasant and the Colin (Probably the wrong spelling) was quick to answer my questions. I will say that their price was not the absolute cheapest, but it was in the right ballpark. I choose them because Colin was very good any answering my questions and I felt very comfortable with them. Once the floors were sanded and filled (they did a great job on this) they put a number of samples on the floor for me to choose from. We talked about how the different finishes would look on different parts of the floors, and Colin was great in helping me choose the best stain color for the floors and meeting my preferences. They then added new baseboards, and registers that would match. These were also stained to match. The whole time, his crew was very clean and kept the house tidy. The floors came out great and I am very happy with them. There is only two spots on the baseboards where the corners do not have a perfect fit, but once new wood is installed, it can move. I am planning on letting a little time pass and perhaps adding a nail to tighten up the small gap in the corners. The crew had the house taped up during the sanding process and it was exceptionally clean throughout. I would recommend them to anyone and plan to use them again in the future when we add hardwood floors to the remainder of the home. This company is great at answering questions, providing guidance in product selection and maintenance, and produce good quality work. We love the ways the floors turned out.

Working with IC Custom Hardwood Flooring was excellent. We bought a 1930 fixer-​upper in Hinsdale and the first thing I did was rip up all the disgusting carpet and had Calin redo every floor in the entire house (7 rooms in total and 1.5 flights of stairs). His work turned our house from a dump into a magazine!
Calin (pronounced Colin) is an incredible man, such a hard worker, such pride in his work. There were a few portions of damaged flooring throughout the house that his crew cut out and matched perfectly with new flooring. He also installed and matched wood grates (removing giant metal grates) and blending them into the floor, you don’t even know they are there! He found some rot in the foundation of one of the rooms and replaced it at no additional cost. He was excellent on every level. We have recommended his services to a few other friends (5 so far) who have all been blown away by the final result.

IC Custom Flooring did a great job on a very difficult installation (renovation)…Calin was extremely helpful, and worked closely with us every step of the way. Beautiful work with quarter sawn white oak.

They came out to our home and gave us an estimate. We were impressed by them and narrowed it down to them and one other company, but were pretty sure we were going to go with them. When we tried to get in touch with them to finalize everything, they never got back to us (three emails and several messages and they STILL never returned our calls or emails). Unacceptable and a waste of our time.
