Friendliest owner ever and great coffee. I liked my sandwich but didn’t loooove my sandwich(the vermonter)…it was missing something, or would have been better as a panini rather than on a sub roll. I’ll definitely come back here as their menu looks yummy and the customer service was great.

They make their own Chai. I don’t need to say anything else. Two thumbs WAY up, I tried the vanilla Chai and it was excellent. Not to mention the staff are soooooo friendly and go out of their way to make you happy. :)

Great Coffee, better than the big chains. Food is awesome and at good prices. Friendly worker and a very relaxed atmosphere. It’s worth a visit if you’re anywhere near Bridgewater center.

I ordered a mocha latte here. Literally the worst latte I’ve ever had, it just tasted like slightly sweetened steamed milk. I’m not even sure they remembered the espresso. I also got a bagel, and it was similarly gross. I’m not really sure how you screw up a bagel. The staff wasn’t rude as much as they completely ignored me to chat with their friends. I could only describe the décor as «pretentious,» although some people might be into the faux-liberal hipster thing. This place was really good when it was The Daily Grind. The owner back then was a wicked sweetheart and added something really special to the café. I really wanted to like this place, and I was so, so disappointed.

I go to school at Bridgewater State and I’ve been in the Better Bean Coffee Company twice before and had great sandwiches. This time I wasn’t as pleased. I ordered the Vermonter on a wheat wrap and sadly it was the smallest sandwich I have ever seen. I work at a sandwich shop at home and know the size of wrap sandwiches. This whole sandwich looked like it should be considered a half, especially for the price. The person who made it also forgot the apples, which is the best part. I ordered it to go so did not realize the mistake until I got home, took a bite, and was disappointed. I may or may not go back again, but if I do hopefully it’ll be a better experience.

On August 8th, I decided to stop by on my way to work and get a frappé. I’ve been on the hunt for the best frappé around. I ordered a caramel Java frappé as it was disgusting. I could not taste any caramel or any java in it. It tasted like spoiled milk! When she handed me the cup the drink was only white, you would think it would be a light brown from the caramel and java but it was a white color. I asked the girl and they don’t even put java in it. And no whipped cream. I’ve never had a frappé that doesn’t include whipped cream. After I took my first sipped i returned it and asked for my money back the drink cost me over $ 4! And all it tasted like was bad milk. Looks like I’m sticking to Burger King whereI can get an excellent frappé for a fraction of the cost.

Good sandwiches and coffee beats out dunkin donuts and honey dew. A little expensive, but a nice treat! Wish they had more weekend hours.

My Order: the cheesy vegetarian with cup of water Cup of water = tap water from sink = lose 1 star I’m a stickler about the water source and it does matter what you put into your body. The sandwich was great as awesome. Their ingredients are always so fresh.

Went here with a friend I wanted to have a cup of coffee with and talk. I recently moved to Halifax and didn’t know where a good little coffee house was. Based on Unilocal reviews I chose this spot and it didn’t disappoint. Both got coffee and Blueberry muffin(at 10:30am on Saturday.) Coffee was good and they have flavors to add which I like. They offered to heat the muffins for us and that made them really good with the butter they provided. I had been concerned that there wouldn’t be enough seats, but there are at least 8 — 2 person tables and one for 6 or 8 for a group. It wasn’t that crowded this Saturday morning and we were able to sit and talk with no loud distractions or crowds. Was exactly what I was looking for and I would come back again.

They make great coffee and the sandwiches are really good. I can’t wait to try their soup this winter. If I could I would take off a ½ star, just because they aren’t open on Sundays and holidays.

I’ve been here a few times, and I like the sandwiches a lot — I’m not a coffee drinker, so I went with the white hot chocolate the first time and it was great, but then I tried the frozen hot chocolate and it just tasted like cold milk. Sort of a miss. I do like their food and selections though, and the people who work here are very nice as well. The environment itself could use some work — the pictures on the walls are nice, and the café-esque décor is alright but I think it could use a nice paint job and some new ideas. The bathroom is tiny and a little sketchy as well, but I suppose that can’t really be helped. Overall a nice place.

Been coming here forever. This is the best ownership it’s had. A good selection of vegetarian sandwiches. Yes, you read that right. Selection. Vegetarian. Sandwiches. Good coffee. Service. Food. And I don’t think anyone lives in the back room anymore.

They have a great house blend of coffee here. Best coffee I’ve had in a while. It’s so good you might want to drink it black. Big menu: A large variety of coffee and other hot drinks, sandwiches, and salads. There’s also some baked goods. It’s by the rotary in Bridgewater Center. The rotary gets pretty busy on weekends. Service was very good.

Folk music playing, tons of vegetarian sandwiches, bearded baristas. It’s a nice calm place to have a coffee, read a book, or catch up over coffee. Cheesy vegetarian sandwich — provolone, avocado, more avocado, yum.

OK so… My problem is that I really wanted tea and what I got was a Bigelow tea bag in water so hot it came in two cups plus the heat guard holder. It easily took 40 minutes before we got a small cup to separate it and cool it off. C’mon, tea should never be served at that temp anyway. But hey, they’re a coffee joint. So lets get to the sandwiches then. The Vermonter sandwich was good and much bigger than expected in sandwich form(vs. a wrap). Overall, not bad. I may have been expecting something different based on the great reviews.

Came here for lunch with a friend today after reading the reviews here and talking to another friend that went to Bridgewater State. Honestly, I was disappointed, but maybe that’s due to having spent so much time in Somerville & Cambridge coffeeshops; or maybe I got my expectations up too high based on the reviews. The mocha java frappé I had was weak, didn’t really taste like mocha, and was mostly foam. The sandwich selection isn’t phenomenal either – out of the dozen or so sandwiches, it was basically the same 3 or 4 with different meat(ham, turkey, tuna). They didn’t even offer what I consider a coffee-shop staple, the mozzarella/tomato/basil sandwich. And the shop itself had a Starbucks feel to it, with only a few wooden tables w/hard chairs and one lonely couch. The bookcase filled with what looked like encyclopedias(but could have been matching hard-cover books) seemed pretentious. Don’t get me wrong, the food was good – well-filled sandwiches for low cost, and the coffee wasn’t bad, just not what I had been expecting.
