This place is an absolute must! All ages of kids will love it. The extra long wrap around path makes you feel a little more secure with little ones running all over the place. The bathrooms are close and decent, not a first choice but no public bathroom ever is! Bring your lunch and sit down at one of the picnic tables and enjoy!

This place is AWESOME!!! I love that there is only one way in and out, so you can station yourself near the entrance and chat with the other parents while knowing your children are safely confined and not in any danger of falling in the nearby pond. They also have quite a few picnic tables around the play area, so you can grab a pizza from neighboring Stonefire Bistro without interrupting the kids play time… too much, at least:) I also love that there there are two family restrooms right outside of the play area, so you can take one child to the bathroom without taking your eyes off the entrance to the Imagination Station. Warning: All four times I/my children have used the restrooms here, they were NASTY!!! It is posted that there are two volunteer clean-up days at the playground per month… and by the looks of the bathrooms, I wholeheartedly believe that the bathrooms are only cleaned twice a month, as well! Overall, your kids will love this place and will play for hours on end… well worth the drive out to Brighton!

My daughter likes playing here. It is starting to show some wear and tear but overall it’s a great place to let your kids loose! If you get there early in the day you can look for coins hidden in the playground that get you a free lollipop at Oh My Lolli next door! Early is good anyways because it isn’t very shady and it gets HOT there in the summer! The whole shopping experience is like kid heaven over there! First, you play at the imagination station, then go watch them make candy at Oh My Lolli, then follow the bubbles coming from the bubble machine at Jacks Frozen Custard, then walk around the corner and go pet puppies at the Pawsitively Spoiled puppy shop!

This is a great place to bring your kids and let them run around without too much worry that they’ll get close to the water. Just come early in the day because after school is out, the«kids» get a lot bigger. This place is starting to show some wear and tear. One part of the wooden structure has been broken for a while, and for a time was being held together with Zip-ties. Maintenance seems to be sparse or non-existent(I suspect it has a lot to do with the tax base shrinking) and parts of the play structure could really use some earnest TLC. Overall, the Imagination Station is just OK to take the kids, but more and more lately, I’ve been trying to skip the place.

I honestly can’t think of anything that would make the Imagination Station in downtown Brighton a better place to take our daughter to play. When we first arrived, I noticed the fence placed in a maze all the way around the playground. At first I thought it mildly annoying, until I realized that it made it much easier to keep your child where you could see them. Any child trying to ‘escape’ had plenty of barriers before they hit the Mill Pond! The play area had lots of fun toys to climb on/through/around, as well as the ‘old-fashioned’ stuff like swings. They even had the one thing I watch for lately with a toddler — bucket swings(she can’t sit upright on the other ones well enough yet). If your kids are big enough to play on their own, there are even seats to rest on while the little ones run around. The one thing there that I haven’t seen at some other parks? Public restrooms within sight of the park.
