One of my all time favorite places! The food is always fresh and delicious and the entire staff is always so friendly and attentive. I highly recommend the shish tawook with lemon oregano sauce and the hot peppermint tea.

We enjoyed our 12⁄2015 visit. We ordered the Sampler Platter for 2, including 4 sides (we got rice pilaf with almonds, grilled vegetables, and two bowls of lentil soup). It was a great value, a lot of tasty food, especially after filling up on the complimentary flat bread and garlic. We all agreed that all four of us could have shared it.
We got a few more meals from our leftovers. I hope to make it back on future trips to Michigan. Our waitress seemed a bit flaky. We had to ask for our menus, and it would have been nice for her to point out what the different items in the Sampler Platter were. But that’s pretty minor.

Fast food ish greek-​indian-​Mediterranean fare. Garlic butter is overwhelming. In the worst way. The hummus and Pita bread is a meal in itself! Paired with the lamb chili… amazing. Chicken shawarma and Greek salad is a no fail choice too.

Love the middle eastern food. Served up fresh and tasty with fresh bread. Only possible criticism is that the men’s bathroom is a single-​seater. They should put in a divider for the toilet and add a urinal to service more people more quickly.

I’ve been to my fair share of Mediterranean restaurants throughout the state and the country, and I can honestly say La Marsa tops my list of favorites. I had the mousaka and it was very tasty and plentiful. Plenty enough for dinner for two the next day! Others in my party had the vegetarian combo and it was a feast that would have fed at least 4 or 5 people. My favorite item on the vegetarian platter was the mjadra. I also had lentil soup and of course bread and garlic sauce. Hands down the best lentil soup I’ve ever had, anywhere. And the bread and garlic sauce were excellent as well. I love that La Marsa serves fresh oven bread. There’s no other way to eat Mediterranean food than with fresh oven bread! I’m placing a take out order later today, so I will see you soon. Well done, La Marsa!

My wife and I love to eat here. I enjoy a spicy version-​more so than the average person. The spicy hummus is simply outstanding. I get it every time. Enjoy.

Gigantic portions and great service. I love this restaurant. Very delicious good, extra garlicky! Get the spicy hummus and pita, it’s amazing. Any meal you get, be prepared for leftovers, you will have them.

First things first, the food here is fantastic! Everything is flavorful, unique, and never disappointing. But what really keeps me coming back is the service. Everybody that works here is extremely friendly but also professional. They remember their regular customers, they greet you with a smile and ask how you’re doing. Most importantly, they want you to leave satisfied. I’ve only ever had one or two minor issues in the many many times I have come, but both times I had an issue it was remedied immediately by the manager. Whenever someone comes to Brighton from out of town, this is the restaurant I recommend above all others!

I crave this food! Absolutely amazing. Nothing in the area compares.
Their lunch portions are the perfect size. If you get a dinner size you can definitely share it between 2 people.
The hummus is a must! They give you pita bread and garlic butter as an appetizer. I highly recommend mixing the garlic butter and hummus– so good!
I have had them cater before and they did an awesome job with that as well!
If you are picky like me and only like Coke. They have cans of coke products for purchase (no free refills-​understandably) and Pepsi products on tap.
I go here like once a week!

Another great meal at La Marsa! I’ve visited here several times and always experience exceptionally high quality food and service. This evening I used the new «order online» on the Unilocal app & La Marsa had my order ready quickly and everything was perfect! It was probably the fastest I’ve ever been able to order carryout for any restaurant and love La Marsa added this new feature. Thanks again for another great meal!

This is now my new, best, favorite restaurant! My doctor told me to start eating a Mediterranean diet so I wouldn’t have to take cholesterol medicine. I can see myself eating here several times a week.
The most friendly waitstaff — shout out to Kat!
If you haven’t had a chance yet to try this restaurant, put it on your short list. You won’t regret it. I promise.

The best Mediterranean restaurant I’ve been to in MI and I’ve been to many. They have fresh baked hot pita bread with a yummy garlic sauce for dipping and their entrees are delicious! I drive and hour to eat here, it’s worth it!

I went here after a friend suggested it and it was amazing! The boyfriend and I tried the shish sampler. First off, it was an incredibly generous amount of food. We took at least 2⁄3 of it home. Definitely a great idea for a double date order ask everyone gets a little of everything.
All of the food was very good. Fresh and hot, with attentive service. The waitress mentioned in some of the other reviews was no where to be found. Each of the three times I’ve been here the service has been very good from the moment we walked in the door.
At first it seems a bit fancy, I felt guilty for wearing jeans. The restaurant is beautiful but they don’t seem to mind more casual attire. The fireplace is awesome in the winter on the extra chilly days.

Hands down best mediterranean food I’ve ever had in my life. It’s a shame I don’t live in michigan. Both our meals were served on hummus. The chicken is great, the grilled veggies were great. The free oven baked pitas and garlic butter are to die for. Quick and friendly service, not a thing to complain about.

What a joke. I’m not sure how this place has good reviews. This is the second time in a year I have tried LA Marsa and it is miserable to eat here.
For starters our waitress was awful. She was incredibly unfriendly and rude. I ordered Spinach Pie as an appetizer and it came almost 30 minutes later. It wasn’t Spinach Pie but some strange meat dish. When she finally came back she was unapologetic and proceeded to bring me ice cold Spinach Pies. When I called it out again she stormed off.
The garlic sauce with the complimentary bread was bitter and inedible.
The Falafel Sandwich I ordered was pathetic. More bitter garlic sauce and a slice of tomato with unwashed lettuce. Who eats this garbage?
Please, please do not eat here. Drive to Falafel King in Farmington Hills or at the very least Lentil in Novi. This isn’t authentic and it isn’t worth the trouble.

Food was OK, but the wait staff was so rude that it made the whole experience awkward.
The waitress introduced herself shortly, took drink orders and left without a word. When arriving with our appetizers, she brought meat versions of the vegetarian food ordered. We finally flagged her down, we told her that the food was wrong. She just said «oh.» Took it, and left with out another word again.
When we did get the correct food, it was ice cold in the middle. When she told her, she took it without saying a word.
Slow service, rude waiters, ok food.

A Detroit-​based friend gave me the reference to La Marsa. He’s been to a different location. I like La Marsa as we stopped by this location on our way back home to Chicago.
The hummus and bread were good, the falafel sandwich was good. Oh and the garlic butter/​sauce was really unique. Nice touch.
The restaurant was a little «fancier» than I expected. Nice ambiance and all. Service was also great. Thanks La Marsa!
