I am not one to go to an emergency room but if your wake up in the middle of the night with chest pain one has no choice but to get to the nearest hospital. I felt like I was having a heart attack. The pain was unbearable. Lucky I had my good friend and roommate stay with me the entire time. Both of us are in our 50’s. I was admitted early in the morning. As far as I know I was the only one in the emergency room. After running some necessary test’s the physician on duty arrives in my room. He informs us me there is nothing wrong with me. I was in horrible pain or I would not have gone there. He never checked my vitals. Like listen to my heart, look in my ears and so on. He stood there and asked me what I thought was wrong. Was he serious? Finally an injection of Valium was given and everyone left the room. I was informed I could go home. As I got off the table I fell flat on my face hitting my knee on the bed. No wheelchairs were to be found neither was a nurse. My roommate helped me up to walk out which my feet crumbled under me. He once again went looking for a wheelchair. What do they have a shortage? Once he located a nurse she arrives with on and acted like she was doing me a huge favor. Following this I started ask around with people like my pharmacist, and my physician who I had to go see the following day about Platte Valley Hospital and my roommates employer who had to take his wife there in the past.. They all told me to seek another emergency room even if you had to drive a little further. It was discovered I had a horrible chest infection by my physician. What happened to me should never happen to anyone else. Stay away if you must. I am glad this site is here as many people need to know the quality of this place. Terrible.
