We have visited this restaurant several times in the past and had a nice experience. Our past few visits have been awful. We were seated by a very cranky man that said, ‘Hello. We are very busy tonight and only have 3 workers here’ …that is all he said… lol We looked around, saw maybe 7 or 8 employees and 7 tables of guests in a huge restaurant. All of the servers ignored our table and we ended up having one of the chefs as our server. Extremely nice man, food was ok, I appreciate that he left the kitchen to take our order and serve us when no one else would(still trying to figure that one out) Won’t be back

I used to love this place. The last few times the service has been horrible. The main chef is a jerk. He has a bad attitude and does not know how to treat quests, especially those who frequent there. The food has not been as good as usual. I have always been allowed to sub extra fried rice for the veggies. Now they want to charge me extra for substituting the rice. Isn’t rice cheaper than veggies? I will never return to this place again. I used to recommend it to all of my friends and talk highly about it. I will never talk positive about this place and I will recommend my friends to go to other establishments instead. If you do go here though and want hibachi. .ask for Yong.

Horrible service! Sat at table for 15 –20 minutes no one came to our table. Even asked twice!!! It was dead in there. No excuse and will never go back!

Last try and done. Food is good, had both chinese and sushi items. Service is deplorable. Waited 10min to be served on. 10 min later drinks came. Had to remind server multiple times to bring things(drinks silverware). Asked to talk to manager and told me there is no managers. Friday night and nobody there, that should be sign enough. Save yourself the grief go somewhere else.

The service was as bad as I’ve ever had. We went in about an hour after they opened and there were maybe two other couples in there. It took 20 minutes before anyone took our drink order and then maybe another 20 minutes in between seeing him again while we were there. Every time he showed up, he would complain about how busy was and how they always understaff the restaurant. You know what? I don’t care. Get me my Sprite. We never got our salads or soups, and when asked about it, he said he was unable to take the soup and salad off our bill because it was already entered into the system, but would still get us our soup and salad, after we were done with our meal and needing to leave, which he knew. We also never received dipping sauces or were able to get drink refills. This may have been the worst experience at a restaurant, ever. And we were celebrating my daughters birthday.

At first I was wondering why this place had bad reviews. Now I see why. The food wasn’t great but not necessarily bad. The service was ok. Then two guys from the kitchen came out on break and decided to watch tv on their phone as loud as they could. So while having lunch we had to listen to 90s rock and Chinese fighting movies/soap opera. To top it off the bathroom was disgusting. Boo to this place.

Went to Shogun with my husband’s family on Friday night. Was excited to try this place, since I had yet to go. I’m going to try to be as nice as possible. We ordered sushi for an appetizer, which was not that bad, but I could say Sushi Zen, still has the best sushi in Brighton. We also had the hibachi dinners, which again, were just ok. I think Sagano’s is probably your best bet for a better Japanese Steak House. Will I return? Hmmm… it’ll be awhile.

The food was fine, nothing special, but the service was extra slow and poor on a very slow night.
