They have lots of good, typical Mexican dishes for lunch and dinner. They just started serving breakfast. Best Breakfast in Brighton IL! Everything is made to order and full of flavor.

I’ve been eating here for years. It used to have great food, great service and amazing maragritas. I wish I could still say that. We recently ate here. It took 35 minutes to get our 1st maragrita despite the fact there were only 2 other tables. 45 minutes went by before our food order was taken. When the food came out, it wasn’t even what we ordered. We had ordered a beef taco salad and beef enchiladas. We received chicken & spinach faja rolls and steak fajitas. Not even close to what we ordered. We had also asked for a side of guacamole. We were charged for guacamole but never received it. Our waitress said they were out of guac, we asked the charges to be removed but she instead swiped our card and charged us for it. Paying was another issues. We stood at the podium for 15 minutes waiting to pay. We never did get a second round of margaritas. Which was fine since it was obvious they topped off our margaritas with orange juice to make it fill the glasses. I miss the old 3 Margaritas. For the last year service has continually gotten worse. I doubt I ever go back.

I can’t understand why the other Unilocalers gives this place 4 stars. Maybe they haven’t been to a lot of Mexican restaurants in these parts, but I can tell you, I order the fish tacos and I’ve had better It was tilapia fish grilled and it was shredded up and a small amount on each taco in my opinion. However, I am not even complaining about that I like my food in chunks and hardy when it comes to tacos. With fish it’s already a light substance, therefore, I need to know what I am biting into. That shredded up fish, does nit impress me at all. You really didn’t know what you were eating until you tasted it without anything on it. In my opinion you need big chunks of fish that can hold up to a taco and the small amount of shredded fish failed. There wasn’t much service what there was I say was okay. The server wasn’t very knowledgeable about what was going on or what was available to eat. She didn’t know if they even had fish tacos and she onky new the dishes that the regulars have been ordering. Initially she said they didn’t have fish tacos, I asked if they have a beef tacos and she said she wasn’t sure if they had beeg tacos. To be stuck with you’re not sure what they have that’s not a good sign. So I’m sure she’s probably a new emlloyee. Overall, it was okay restaurant. They give you chips and salsa when someone comes out to your table and you seat yourself wherever you want. The complimentary chips and. salsa are good, salsa is not the best but I enjoyed the light flavors. They do have drink specials, it’s just like any other Mexican restaurant and the prices were not too bad, I don’t know how the Unilocalers figure they are cheap, they are probably about average if you ask me. I can only give this place three stars at best. I’m doing 3 stars because I only had the one dish the fish tacos. To get 4 or 5 stars every dish in here should be good. For you to be an independent Mexican restaurant you should have a bit more pizzazz to your dishes not act like a 99 cent taco bell or something.

Nice place to stop by before or after Alton. Opened the menu for lunch and surprised to see the prices for the meals. Give this place a try!
