SCROLLNOFURTHER. Having found this restaurant on Unilocal, and having read through many of the positive reviews, my fiancée and I realized that many of the previous, positive reviews that have been shared were likely written by employees and friends/family of said employees — given our very opposite experience. Here’s a recap: 1) Upon arrival, we were not greeted(despite multiple employees walking by), but instead found ourselves standing around aimlessly while the employees conversed amongst themselves, as well as with friends/family that were currently dining there. 2) Once we were finally greeted, we found that the wait to get seated wasn’t unreasonable(roughly 20 – 30 minutes). However, this is also where the trouble began… After being seated, we found ourselves being ignored for the same, earlier reasons: employees continuing to converse amongst themselves, as well as with friends/family that were dining there while largely ignoring the remainder of their patrons. 3) Between being seated and ordering, another 20 minutes had passed before our order was taken and an additional 40 minutes passed while we waited for our food to come. As you can imagine, we were relatively hungry at this point as that we had already been at the restaurant 1.5 hours… Prepare yourself… 4) Once our food was served to us, we had never been more disappointed. My fiancée, having ordered an omelet, received the attached photo of what looks like undercooked scrambled eggs, or perhaps something she had just regurgitated. Upon our disgust, we informed them nicely about the«mixup» as that we understand accidents happen — thinking that they’d work to remedy the situation. Unfortunately, instead of addressing the problem, the waitress(annoyed that we bothered her) firmly said, «that’s just the cheese». Believe you me, as someone who’s eaten an array of omelettes, that was not just the cheese and instead seriously undercooked eggs. 5) To avoid salmonella food poisoning, we shared the blueberry pancakes that I had ordered. These were OK, however, many of the blueberries still had stems on them; this wasn’t as big of a deal as the undercooked omelet. All-in-all, if I could give a «0» star rating I would, however, I can not heed enough caution if you decide to eat here. Having eaten at many restaurants across the country, this was one of the worst experiences of my life.

Come here twice, disappointed both times. Hard potatoes and tasteless. Ran out of Cinnamon Raisin waffles. Service not so hot. Never coming back.

Been here about 5 times. Ordered something different each time and everything has been excellent! Also the bloody Marys are some of the best I’ve had!!!

Best to come early or on Saturday. They serve alcoholic breakfast drinks and also carry specialty beer and root/birch beers. They were out of avocado, hollandaise, raspberries, whole wheat flour, cinnamon, etc. Sweet bourbon sauce for waffles was awesome! Real chunks of corned beef in their awesome hash! Sausage links were burnt, but good. Real maple syrup is available. Expect a wait, because this place is probably the best in the area.

My Grandson and I just ate there 3 Apr 2015, The service was ok the kid didn’t listen to what we asked for and I noticed he did the same to a couple other tables .nice kid but he’s not a waiter. I ordered a western omelet and it absolutely was awful and I’ll eat anything .it tasted like it wasn’t cooked the Waite never came back over and no one else was around to say anything, my grandson ordered a plain waffle it was under cooked and mushy. needless to say I doubt I’ll be back too bad to it’s looks nice and clean . Eddie Schwartz After speaking with the owner, I’ve been back twice, with them not knowing who I am… the food was much better to the point that I’ve told people that it’s a good place to eat .the service was very good also ., I’m glad they came around and corrected what ever issues they were having… I will be back

The ad for Apple Barn has been on my refrig for a couple of years. Why didn’t we go sooner?!! A place where everybody knows your name. The breakfast was delicious, from light wonderful blueberry pancakes for my husband to the most decadent Crème Brûlée French Toast for me. All the usual breakfast items, with some wonderful Sunday specials. Worth the trip and they give great friendly service, in addition to a really great breakfast.

Our next door neighbors told us to try it and I particularly like the corned beef hash. It’s crispy on the outside just the way I like it. We’ve only been there once so far. It’s only open a few days a week but when everything is made to order… it’s worth the wait.

I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt that my recent visit during Brimfield was not there normal offering– there were two people working at the counter, but one of them looked at you blankly while you stood there and the other one ignored you while she filled napkins or whatever else it was she was doing. At one point I stood at what I thought was the register line only to have about six people get waited on first before I finally got my untoasted bagel which I was buying so that I could take the interior of the $ 7 wrap I bought and put it on bread that wasn’t soaking wet from the plastic. Not a fan of premade sandwiches, I don’t care how much easier it makes things, I’d rather wait ten minutes for someone to put turkey on non-wet bread than wait ten mintues to get someone to wait on my so I can get a wet sandwich that was made four hours earlier and then stuck in a refrigerated case. If I wanted that magical plastic taste added to my lunch I could have just packed a sandwich. The dining area was dirty and sparse, the trash was overflowing and the place had about six other people in it, but the napkin dispenser was full. I won’t be back.

Excellent food! We stopped at this place driving away from Hurricane Irene. My husband had an excellent burger and a fantastic, though slightly untraditional, clam chowder. Son and I had breakfast-delicious, tender, fluffy pancakes and a ham and cheese omlette. The service was warm and cheerful but food is made to order –so not fast. A great place and we will return.

Love this place! We travel to the area for every flea market and always make a point of eating at the Apple Barn. We love the atmosphere and the food is great. There are many members of the family owned business that work there but my favorite is Amanda, she’s always so happy and will make any special order that is requested. Try the yogurt parfait with fresh fruit and granola, it’s one of my favorites.

This place rocks. The service and food are perfection. The waitress was great and the Owner/Chef came out to see how everything was ! I had waffles that had tiny bits of apple and walnut in the batter and they were wonderful. If you want homemade Belgian Waffles this is the place, make the trip !
