Wow — what a deal. Called a head for Curry Chicken with broccoli. No rice. Was ready for pick in 10 minutes. Food was hot and so much of it. Even had them add some peanuts. Only cash but very affordable.

I can eat at this place all day everyday. It’s a little hole in the wall but the food is soooo yummy!

Great place! We were very hungry and this place helped us out! No frills, clean, establishment. Friendly service, very quick getting your orders out. I had the hot and sour soup, chicken and string beans with rice… Delicious and very well priced. Will be returning here for more!

Very good food and excellent service. Lemon chicken and their hot and sour is delicious. Clean and family run, if you are in the Brisbane area it’s a good place for lunch.

Love love the salt and pepper pork ribs! The braised tofu with Bok Choy is really good. The chicken and zucchini is okay. Little hidden restaurant that you would never expect to be pretty good!

I like to take my late lunch breaks here, the food is good and the prices are very reasonable for their lunch specials

One of the long standing restaurant institutions in Brisbane. This is my goto take out place for cheap, filling and tasty pork chops. Oh ya, beef brocolli ain’t that bad either. I remember growing up as a kid — me and my friends went there after school from Lipman for some sweet and sour chicken. Those were the years. Can’t believe they’re still around. The potstickers are good and big but take a while to cook. For that reason they usually serve appetizers last for some reason if you eat in. I get a kick out of that. I’m tempted to give it 5 stars, but they don’t take credit card yet. Looks like they got a new sign and menu. Prices are the same, nice.

I’ve been there twice, never have a chance to eat. First time, middle of the day at my lunch break. I walked in and they told me to come back tomorrow. Not a problem, I went to Julie’s. Second time just now. Hopefully I can try their food. There were only one table there. I’ve been waiting to order, the lady is busy with phone order. It’s been a while, she still busy on the phone. The chef saw me looking and waiting, he just ignore me. He has nothing to cook, slowly walk to grab his drink from the fridge, and look at my face again. 5 minute of empty restaurant seems a bit long for me waiting. I just go to Nana’s this time. I’ll try again and see if I can give more star, if I have a chance to eat here

This restaurant is close by work so it was convenient. Price of the food is very decent along wih decent food. Pretty good experience for a borderline hole in the wall. I never feel dissapointed and always full.

Service is quick as is the food. Got our food in just a few minutes. Beef and broccoli was awesome according to my youngest daughter. Could spice their food a little bit better. Would have been been five star if they did.

I’ve been going to this place for years. I know that it has changed hands a number of times. However, since the new ownership recently, the food has improved. I’m addicted to their pot stickers. Keep up the good job.

I have eaten here several times in the past couple of years. Looks like they changed ownership recently. It’s a run of the mill cheap Chinese place. Nothing special. But here is why the four stars — it’s cheap, it’s quick and it fills you up. Don’t expect fancy. Don’t expect really good. But you’ll spend as much at McDonald’s and that stuff is crap(though I do eat it at times). The new owners changed the presentation with square plates but the food is the same. No better. No worse.

Lucky House is a little hole in the wall restaurant with tasty food, VERY reasonably priced, and in generous portions. Love their Salt & Pepper Pork Chops, Garlic Chicken, Chow Mein, Garlic Prawns, Green Bean Chicken, Won Ton Soup, and their $ 6.00(ish) lunch specials too.

This place is dirt cheap. Yeah, it’s kinda dirty. The kitchen and dining area are connected. The tea isn’t even Chinese – just lipton’s. But for the price, it can’t be beat. You won’t woo any dates by coming here, but if you’re in the area and need a quick lunch, you won’t be disappointed. If you get a meal special, it comes with soup and rice. All for about $ 6? I’ll be back. Don’t get stuff you can get at Panda Express(ie Orange chicken or broccoli beef). As fortune cookie say: Try adventurous fare and you’ll be rewarded.

I would give this place an Eh-Okay instead of an A-OK. Their beef brocolli and kung pao chicken was not ground breaking, but I don’t expect too many Chinese food places to be such. I still have to say that Panda Express’ version of these two are better. Lucky House serves your typical Chinese dishes and, unlike Panda Express, they don’t serve these out of buffet platters – they cook it after you order so you can always expect a warm meal. They have several meal specials complete with rice for reasonable prices. Which is good, because they don’t accept credit cards – so have cash handy.

I actually love this place! Awesome lunch specials ranging from $ 5.20-$ 5.65. Service is quick. Food is delicious. Workers are friendly and fast. Never had a bad experience here. And it’s close to work :)

Okay, this is one of those«Hole in the wall» kind of places. Same as everyone else, Good Food for low prices. Don’t expect to come in for the décor or anything fancy. You EAT, You PAY, You LEAVE!!! When I’m in town working, I get a little excited for lunch, because of this little husband and wife owned Chinese restaurant. I was referred to eat here for lunch one day, so I gave it a try and found the best tasting Mongolian Beef ever!!! It’s real spicy and has a hint of sweetness to it. Everytime I order it in other restaurants, I am ALWAYS disappointed, but this place has it down PERFECT!!! Other dishes are not bad at all also.

When I was 18 this place probably would have gotten 4 or 5 stars. So if you are of that age, and desperate to find a place where you can eat lunch for $ 6, this place will be awesomesauce. The food is incredibly cheap, and the portions are large. And it isn’t terrible food. It’s mediocre but it isn’t as though there was anything really wrong with it. I’m burp-tasting it far longer than I should have to. But that’s the biggest complaint. The tea was mediocre. The fried rice was bland. The spicy garlic sauce was completely unmemorable. If this restaurant was in North Dakota it would be packed every day and the locals wouldn’t know any better. As it is, it’s really a solid«Meh, I’ve experienced better».

Still trying to find a good dish to order here. But so far, no luck. I tried the battered shrimp with walnut. Waaay too sweet. 2nd time, I tried the kung pao chicken. Waaay too sweet and the batter is too thick. It looks like a wet popcorn chicken. I know that Brisbane has lower restaurant standards, but come on!

Yes, I’m a fan. I’m sure others will disagree and think A-OK for them, and that’s A-OK with me. These guys know me when I walk in, are friendly, and cook what I want, no more, no less. This is the closest cheap Chinese for me which is good.(Though I do miss some of the $ 2.88 and $ 3.88 plates in the Sunset that I used to go to.) They know their regulars pretty well and take care of them. What more could I ask for. Sure, not the place for an 12 course banquet, but for your quick lunch/dinner rice plate, they are pretty dependable. I love places like this where I don’t have to order from the menu, just tell them what I want(like my go to BBQ pork with tofu over rice) and it’s done. So if you want a rice plate for dinner, go here because they won’t force you to buy a full order and a side of rice at 6:00PM.
