On a recent trip to Milwaukee, a friend and I decided to play a round of golf on our way home to Chicago. It was near the Bristol House II, so we decided to stop for a quick sandwich after the round before we got on the road. Place was very quiet on a Saturday around lunch, so we we’re hoping for a quick lunch. Service was pleasant, but slow as the bartender was also the«chef de cuisine» that day. Had the buffalo chicken wrap and when it came out, it looked great, but upon the first bite I realized that it was dripping and full of buffalo sauce. So messy it was hard to eat. Friend of mine had the beef & cheese horsy sandwich which looked great and he was happy with. If you’re off the main drag of I-94 on your way to/from MKE/CHI, it’s a decent place for a sandwich… I’ll just switch mine up next time. Plenty of other things to choose from.

Hands down the best burger in Salem. Unpretentious service. Wonderful staff. Plenty of parking and they always have bar drink specials!

Great Wisconsin Bar! The staff was really nice and the food was good for bar food! Happy Hour during the week is from 2pm to 6pm… except on Friday when it ends at 5pm! There are some great happy hour snack specials too… for $ 2.25 you can get Jalepeno Poppers, cheese curds, onion rings, etc… Domestic Bottles were also 2 bucks. There were also other great specials during the week… call or stop in and take a chance. I had the chicken wings, which are 35 cents on Thursday and Sunday… they come in three flavors: Teryaki, BBQ and Buffalo. I had the Buffalo and they were really good. The bar was also packed at 5pm… which is a good sign! I can hardly wait to go back. Jukebox was also classic… big sign no Rap or Heavy Metal… oh I was so tempted but I didn’t want to get killed on my first trip here!

Since we are county folks. Its nice to go somewhere that makes me feel like a regular. This place does. THey have good food, good reasonable drinks(lemonade and vodka was very strong) and The sign on the juke box cracks me up! «NO Rap or we will turn it off» Sooo funny. I am thinking why dont they just take those selections out then? But who is going to tell a bunch of tipsy patrons that thyere turning off the jukebox at 2 songs for 1.00? Anyhow. We went there on a super hot day and it was nice and cool inside with several customers eating and some beautiful motorcycles in the lot to oogle… Nice place.
